Oooooh...I can't wait to see/hear that Kit Plugins Drum VST! Naturally he's going to hype it up, totally understandable. But knowing he is a drummer himself and that you can print the tracks totally unprocessed has me very intrigued!
Im sure it is. And I would love to try it out. I have only ever had/used Perfect Drums because it does what I need it to do (very well in my opinion), but its all processed which I dont like in a full drum VST. Plus I dont work with 100% virtual drums unless I absolutely have to or when I'm writing my own stuff (which isnt often anymore). But the most noteable project Ive worked on I did only the drum programming for a band on an album that Josh Schroeder produced and mixed. So its good to have a good one in the arsenal. I think it was announced at this years Namm, but I don't know much more about it, but I'm very interested in all of the software they produce, it's been nothing but either interesting or fantastic tools. So much useful stuff.. but can I justify the price of any of it ! lol... I'm moving home later this year (hopefully) and get to redesign my studio (again.. for the 6th time) and I'm looking forward to a new space, I might go for new monitors, but updating my DAC is top of the list. I've had many, but still rocking the Benchmark DAC, which I love and I'm very unwilling to let go of. Any new DAC's at Namm? Or any recommendations? (No budget.. its essential in my audio path) My friend Dave Gamble (The main guy at DMG Audio) got invites every year, but to my knowledge, he's never been to a NAMM. I'd happily take his tickets!
I played with Boom at the booth, it's gonna be a great plugins as everything else OEK has. Good call on the DAC and monitors. The only "new" DAC i've seen was SPL, but Benchmark is great, my buddie Howie still uses his (to the point he made me want to get one) so i think you're good. Monitor controller wise you can't go wrong with Crane or SPL or Grace. Avid Carbon and MT48 also have insane DAC
