26:05 If Lee ever had a signature Ibanez, I think it’d be the ‘5318008’ just so that he could look down at the headstock while playing it and chuckle to himself.
I'm so glad you guys are back to doing this. I really missed it.
Great tour of Ibanez's booth. It's good to see Lee Wrathe hanging out with you guys.
My second guitar 30 years ago was an Ibanez and have had various over the years including JS ,’universe and PGM . Always be place in my heart for them although don’t have a single Ibanez now
I picked up the slack, I have 11 of them and their logo tattooed on my arm.lol
@@bryanbrewer4272ha brilliant . I’ve gone down fender rabbit hole and now into offsets like Johnny Marr Jaguar
Great review and demonstration guys! Thank you !
bought an ibenez js100 late 90s playing it right now 30/1/2024 still superb
One of the best this one. Great chemistry between these three.
Captain , you’re such a joy. 😂 it’s day 3 at NAMM🎉
My Qx52 is my favorite instrument ever. If they came out with a Q that had a floating trem id sell my beloved in a heartbeat
Im waiting patiently for that day!!!🙏🙏🙏
Thanks again Guys' ~ note; Pete is so well behaved - Kudos
Can't believe the only reverse headstock this year is on a Gio.
I love reverse headstock on some of my guitars. Any annoyances during tuning or changing strings is made up by the subtle change in string tension when playing.
I feel the reversed tension past the nut makes the treble strings feel looser and friendlier for lead playing, whereas the bass strings get a bit more tightness for rhythm chunk...
Basses got all the cool finishes this year...AND the maple fretboards! What happened to maple fretboards on guitars!?
I love that Lee's tastes are the same as mine. If I ever wind up in England I know where I'm buying all my guitars.
This spokesperson was awesome. Ibanez makes cool stuff
Beautiful guitars. Thank you for being honest.
cant help but feel the guys have had a few beers in this one 😂
Actually I hoped to see Ibanez Quest with tremolo this NAMM. Maybe we'll get what we want next time.
I just bought an Ibanez, my first- and my first Super Strat, floating trem. style guitar- hopefully it doesn't turn out to be a headache. I spent like 2 years looking at either a double P90 LP style guitar or a Yam. Rev Star- and then bought an Ibanez SP3. Right at the last minute the 15-year-old came out in me, and I was like "To hell with playing it safe, I want a super strat." There might have been some alcohol involved. Gonna stick by my decision though- make the best of it. It's an awesome looking guitar-and everyone says they're great so... I like Kiko, never heard of him until the next morning when I was looking at the guitar I bought but- after checking out his stuff- damn! He's an amazing player- and I love that he plays all styles not just shred or metal. They should've had his newer S models at the show. The SP3 I bought has been out for a while I think but there are some newer, more higher end versions that just came out not long ago I think. He just did a song with Plini that was freakin mind blowing- they wrote and performed it all in one day.
Thanks Guys ! 😎
I believe Lee (Andertons) has just unwittingly named the new range of Ibanez acoustics with the 'airport' - 'The Hole Line' 30:07
🎯 😂
Very good
Waiting patiently for the Schecter booth visit and seeing the new AM-6!!!!
Ibanez killing it as always. On a side note, totally agree @20:25. We need a headless with a floating trem!!!!!
A black metallic TS9 would be epic, that blue is nice though.
Those Iceman 🤩
I need the pink Tim Henson model. I’ve wanted a pink AZ for years but the only release was a limited MIJ release that is impossible to find second hand now and goes for like 3k. Tim and Scottie interview someday please!!!
The basses are so radical..and the colours
Gary Willis “IKEA” version? Loool
Wonder if Danish Pete has seen Lari Basilio's LB1 Ibanez signature "violet" guitar ??? Gorgeous !
I wish they made the ocean with the one big pickup from the '79 catalogue
Guy has an amazing job
Why Ibanez stopped making those suitable Rockabilly machines with their bigsby’s is beyond me. They are such lovely machines
That prototype 335 copy I saw at NAMM is nice
Oyyyeeee Left_handed Guitar !!!
that Pentatone preamp... I want to try one... Don't see anyone talking about it much.
In the night garden was quite the thing!
Lee takes these guys to task asking about the chrome staying on the guitar lol.
the only Ibanez i have is the 1995 PS10 pauls stanley model. ive have it almost 30 years now. its black of course beautiful neck and inlays great pickups. it plays like a gibson les paul which is what i play. but i love my PS 10. these cracked mirror ones are just too damn expensive to the point of rediculas
The Pat Metheny model was very cool.
What are the dates of this show usually please?
It seems Ibanez has stopped manufacturing multi-fret 7 strings, and wants 7 string to players to settle down with wither their RGD 7 string multiscale or headless slant fret. It's about time to try some other 7 strings with fanned fret or multi-fret. The other new models are cool though but no use.
16:10 the wonky chord stab as Lee puts the guitar down 😂
🤣
So did they fix the chrome finish on the JS for 2024 or not?
Would like to see more mid prices AZ and AZS
I don't know if paul gilbert has a signature ibanez guitar, but he should be on that wall...is one of the gratests...
It’s true that when you have an acoustic, it sounds better when somebody else plays and you listen ..so the air hole is a good idea
So what happened to the GB10?
I really like Ibanez guitars, but for me, they all have the volume knob way too close to the bridge pup. The old JPM had it in the perfect spot IMHO.
20:05 best model
Ibanez needs to bring back the Voyager or RBM.
Where's this guy from? I love him hahah 😂
My issue with Ibanez is they do not offer the high end guitars and basses left handed. They have a couple but you cant get the higher end part of the lines.
same with left handed saxophones, pianos, keyboards... soo annoying UGH
The idea of namm is to dream a little bit of what is out there. For me that dream stops when you have a salesperson telling you "nope you don't get to see this; this is for the US market only". Similar vibes with the ESP booth video. Hardly any coverage on the true ESP models (let's be honest no one cares about the E-II brand) because the LTD models sell better.
i cant find kiko ibanez ??? did he parted ways with ibanez?
where are the Tim Henson models made?
this year I expected Ibanez headless with Floyd rose which is been pending Please give us one !!!
I need an 8-stringed headless from ibanez
Tito Ortiz really knows his Ibanez
those white BTBs look amazing but yeah just walk past them! ha ha
Es una gran verdad los Aliens están entre nosotros 😂😂😂
I'm not sure if Lee was trolling or if he is unaware that Pat Metheny wears a syrup. 🤣
Yeah good stuff except it looks like the prices went up a grand. PIAs were $3499.
Lots of very confused Americans wondering what ‘In The Night Garden’ is @ 24:34 😂
Disappointing they didn't introduce Premium or Prestige Q series. Or more 7 string options at least and especially a version with the trem, I guess wil lbe waiting 2025.
Always wanted a Crome boy and a Jem
You just walked right by the BTB7MS. Why?
I was hoping for a headless I liked. I can't get into the current gen
Re issue the mid 80s pro line series
A real lack of maple neck guitars these days which is a shame. I'd love that Ibanez Pia with a maple neck but the neck proflie of a Jem 7V or RG550. Steve's fitted the fat neck now and it's no where near as good.
sounds like greg koch playing in the background
Hopefully this paul.stanley guitar will be more affordable than $10K, especially considering its not real mirror.
I guess Lee really does like his coffee.
Bring back the destroyer!!!!!!
Its like easter Sunday over at Ibanez
As an Ibanez fan, there are only two I like this year. .
All these guitars, I'm as guilty as anyone else (About 30, some very high end), god knows how much rain Forrest chopped down!! Just one question, where's the music. Just one last guitare solo before Armageddon. Definitely gonna put that kinman neck p90 On my Rev Star.
Just to be clear, their voices are shot from yell talking all night at the clubs & bars,NOT from all the talking they've been doing at several days of NAMM.
😆🍻🍺🥃🍸
I like that kids signature even though I'm not a fan of his
We need PGM Paul Gilbert F sign guitar with Floyd rose back. Hope Andersons can make our voice heard to Ibanez
Pork pie
Man I love the look of ibanez basses... If only they fixed the sound of it!
And still no Q-series with a tremolo!? 😕 I'm about to give up hope and buy a Strandberg! (Please stop me! 😵)
No Jem FP reissue? Sad. 😢
Not the Gold JS but the problem will be always the same =not perfect for the big price
not a good neck joint vs SG LP HP, MusicMan Luke etc.
and those little white circles here to tighten the bar are so boring when a floyd rose system has not these problems with guitars with a decent price
If you let your eyes unfocus you can see a sailboat in his shirt
does this years NAMM look a bit underwhelming and empty? compared to the previous years pre COVID
oh noooo... no iron labels anymore??
Ibanez: “We have left handed guitars at NAMM
Lefties: “great! Are we talking PIA’s JS’s? Something cool like that?
Ibanez: “Well when we say guitars, we mean one, and it’s a budget acoustic”
🤦
Banana
Still not releasing Miyus 7 str as a signature bass? Not that i would buy 1, can hardly handle 4 when sober...
Where's the Legendary Epiphone guitars?
Don't think Gibson Epiphone and Fender are there
Yeah. No Gibson/Epiphone, Fender/Squire or PRS.
@29:06 Another hole to drop your pick in ha
Gios are $500 now? Inflation is a mother. Seems like not long ago you could get an actual RG for that.
For real, that's like three bags of groceries!
Love the Iceman but come on, Ibanez... enough with the jatoba fretboards and making them in China. It's one of the coolest and most original designs they have and it never seems to get the respect it deserves. Same with the Destroyer. Give us Japanese Prestige versions or at least make them in Korea again. Not everyone wants to play a Paul Stanley version.
Totally agree I’ve always wanted 1 not just a signature Stanley. At least they’re 70’s looking. The reviews have been great however. I’m gonna take a chance and grab 1 regardless. If they finally do release a Japanese model some year I’ll jump at that as well. But today 🤷🏻♂️
@@a.andrewhussey6403 I'll probably get one but honestly would have bought all 3 if they were at least made in Korea and had rosewood fretboards. Instead of going back, a lot of companies are taking advantage by still using subpar materials and cheaper manufacturing because they figure we're used to it after the rosewood ban and Covid. At least Ibanez is keeping their prices fair on these. Jackson is charging $1600 for their Chinese guitars and many Epiphones and Kramers are also creeping up on $1500, especially the signature models.
@@Darth.Shredder The rosewood at least would be nice. The price point is great and the old engraving on the pup covers is a nice touch. I’ll be ordering the violin sunburst but the blue is pretty sharp well 🤟 The whole Epiphone thing fn please 🤦🏻🤷🏻♂️
1. That orangey jatoba is a non-starter for me. Ugly, ugly, ugly.
2. They could do so much more with the Iceman in terms of colors, price points, etc.
@@scottbrower9052 Jatoba doesn't only look cheap and unattractive, it feels weird too. I sold one of my black Iceman because of it. I've since played others that weren't as bad but they were still subpar compared to rosewood. Like I said, if these new ones were rosewood I'd buy all 3 despite them being made in China and likely needing fret work but now I'll try one at best just because I've always wanted a blue one. I already own 3 older Iceman and 3 Destroyers.
No PG Fireman Ibanez??? What the hell
Umm Paul Gilbert?
Theres a reason for that
I would like to ad my 2 cents please HOW ABOUT pictures of the actual men and women who make these beautiful instruments a novel idea???? I want an answer please 🙏 a formal repair person now retired. Just noodling on my git .
Hey guys... thank your camera person for hanging out with you guys, even though they are allergic to guitars.
I have never seen a show from NAMM where the camera person is afraid to show us a good look at the guitars. To walk by unusual body work or a one of a kind paint job, woodwork or configuration that's new to the company or industry is like.... thanks for not showing us the product, we only watched to see 3 guys walking around telling us how amazing the guitar or bass is. We didn't want to see what it looks like, or how amazing it is for ourselves.
Thanks again.
who pissed in your cornflakes?
@@roachdoggjr155 I find it so sad that mediocre work has become the standard you reach for...then when someone points it out, I have the problem.
To make it clear, I own a Fodera, a Mayones, a Schecter, a Stagg 3/4 upright acoustic/electric bass. An Ibanez Artcore 6 string, and a 65 Les Paul. I think I can recognize quality work.
the incessant background guitar noodling is maddening. I wish there was something NAMM could do about the noise.
