Fire Emblem: Darius the Conqueror - Darius & Ulysses Support Conversations

- Apparently my toxic trait is telling myself I'm going to take a break from doing work on something, only to immediately turn around and get back to work on it. Oh well. Anyways, for the next few days, I'll be uploading support conversations between characters from Darius the Conqueror as I write them. Starting this week, we have the support chain between Darius and Ulysses, as Darius helps Ulysses learn how to read.

My approach to writing supports for this project is that as I playtest the hack, if I get a support level between two characters, I write down which characters got it and then prepare to write the dialogue for the interaction out. However, I also look for characters whose interactions are important when deciding which characters to write for, and I feel that the relationship between Darius and Ulysses is very important. The two have a mutual mentor relationship, one where they help each other grow in different areas, and the trust between the both of them becomes central to the story later on.

Also I see you have full battle backgrounds, do you intend to make the battlebacks without the tiles? (Like The Last Promise)
And do you make Portrait sprites?
I recognized some older videos on your channel had have some OC characters from the ultimate Fegba resource repo. (Some I've used in my roms that I've made for fun.)
@@Bitzly I don't plan on discarding the battle platforms, no. And no, I do not create my own portraits, every portrait used in this project is one I pulled from the resource repo.
Also, sorry to say, but it's going to be a while before I write supports for Barbarus; he doesn't become playable until pretty late into the story.

You motivated me to make my old rom and make sprites since I am more experienced now.
I think you should try Aseprite for making sprites. Although it does cost money on steam. And simply, I've combined parts of other Fe portraits sprites and combined them into one, while also using the guide to making the sprite blink and talk. (At least thats how I made original FE characters)
