    Another great video. Pretty gutsy taking the boat out there, but your efforts were rewarded! Nice to see a bit of wit creeping in there, too. Cheers.

    I love your sense of humor 😂. Pretty bave going out there in your little boat, but what a great result! Great bit of editing work to. Very witty!

      Cheers Dean, glad you enjoyed the vid and my attempts at humour, haha. We've been catching loads of fish on the grim reapers. Bit behind on our videos but one of the upcoming videos will be Kahawai carnage on the grim reapers at the river mouth. They went nuts for them. How is the Salmon fishing?

    awesome session mark those were some good size blue cod. plus pretty cool how u got to see those hector dolphins up close plus the penguins. the gen jig did a great job on the blue cod. would have been a good opportunity to try a slider for the blue cod.

      @Fishingreminder  3 месяца назад

      cheers Peter, yeah I actually wanted to try some glowbite lures that day.
      But the window of opportunity was closing fast as the wind picked up and I really wanted some dinner. So I just used my all time favourite jigs as I'm most confident they will produce the results :) Have you had much luck with sliders? I think I've seen you using them in one of your vids recently. I find them a little to heavy for my fishing style.

    • @BasicFishingNZ
      @BasicFishingNZ 3 месяца назад +1

      @@Fishingreminder tbh i use them because they guarantee good results especially wen ur out deep and the fishing is super slow. and personally i really enjoy using them so easy and catches a lot of fish. plus u dont have to work too hard either which is a bonus

      @@BasicFishingNZ that's interesting , shows how the fishing styles and preferences differ quite a bit :)

      @@BasicFishingNZ Btw. I'm keen to know what is your favourite slider? And what size/weight do you usually use? I got some grumpy fish I want to try. They just seem a little too heavy for my usual setup. Perhaps a slightly heavier overhead outfit is better suited for sliders?

    Nice solo mission Mark in the boat, how do you rate blue cod for eating?

    • @Fishingreminder
      @Fishingreminder  3 месяца назад

      Cheers Mike, blue cod is probably my favourite eating fish. It has a mild taste and great texture. So I would give it a 10 out of 10 :)

    How far away from the Boat Ramp did you have to go Mark?

    • @Fishingreminder
      @Fishingreminder  3 месяца назад

      I didn't go too far. Perhaps 3-4 km. There was quite a bit of current out there.
