I can imagine that it looks so much bigger in person. So beautiful and really cool to imagine how long the trees have been there. They've seen it all. Great video! Loved the history about the little brick building on the side of the road and the history of the frog jumping! Really neat!
My wife and I Spent our honeymoon up there 51 years ago. Still just as pretty (The trees haven’t changed very much) Thanks for the ride enjoy your videos
I live in SoCal and it is very beautiful but also at the top of the list here is taxes and gas prices! Love your videos. Thank you for sharing. Oh, and you did win a prize Brian…she’s sitting right next to you😄👍🏻
Sweet family memories live at Yosemite. Your videography stirred my inner bear to return before I need to hibernate. LOL. I could just smell the pine trees and fresh air. Bear hugs to you both and thank you!🐻🧸🐻 and a baby bear for the road. 🤗🤗
Born and raised with Yosemite as my backyard playground. Please be sure to visit again in the Spring and Autumn. The flowers, running falls, and lush greenery in the Spring are breathtaking and the Autumn brings fab fall colors.
I was blessed to camp in Yosemite as a child (I'm 72 now). I only live 2 hours from there but won't fight th crowds to go back. Thank you for the memories.
The drive between Angels Camp and South Lake Tahoe is one of the most scenic I've ever driven, and I ALWAYS look for an excuse to drive that way. It's simply an amazing drive!
Oh we are very glad we went while we had the chance, it was still so beautiful as you can see from some of the videos we captured and photos we shared on our LivinRVision Facebook and Instagram pages. We’ll definitely be coming back to see more sometime though. 🧡😊🤓
Good EveningDears☺️, You two are Absolutely Adorable 🤗🤗. I recently found your videos😍I Love them😍🥰! Have been watching your videos on RUclips. I was fortunate to have done a 10 week trip across country with my family when I was 12 years old. Dads Colony Park station wagon pulling a 26' airstream, campground directory that was 2 feet thick and maps scattered all over the car. Massachusetts to California and back and no air conditioning. Now retired and 70 y/o, trying to convince my wife to do the same. Not having much luck, but still trying!! (I have a way of wearing people down LOL!) Your videos almost hurt...because I want to do the trip once again before I embark on "life's last great adventure"...Keep up the good work and hope to see you on the road some day! Your my inspiration!!!
We did that in May….. General Sherman and all the other trees were huge!! It was the highlight of our winter/spring trip…. wanted to see them before they all burn down….. the fires are getting way to close to those giants!! So sad if we lost them…. what a treasure we have in them! Love your videos!!!
That is absolutely the prettiest place on earth so beautiful look forward to visiting that someday I promise I will be there you’ll make beautiful videos good job I enjoy every bit of it keep up the good work
Please come back to California when you can truly appreciate the beauty of Yosemite without the smoke from our fires. Yosemite's beauty never gets old no matter how many times you visit.
Thank you for sharing. I spent the day in Yosemite when I was a younger man flying from WV with a friend of mine before I got married and really want to go back with my family. Brought back some great memories!
You folks have had quite a trip! You saw the largest tree in the world, and you mentioned seeing the Coast Redwoods (which are the tallest trees in the world), but you missed the Bristlecone Pines (the oldest trees in the world). And you were so close! They're between Yosemite and Sequoia Parks, but on the east side of the parks, just north of Death Valley along Hwy 395 near the towns of Big Pine and Bishop. To get there, you have to go through the towns of Lee Vining or Inyokern.
Love Love Love... we are so close to heading thru my home state of California. 😁 Cant wait to see all the things. You two are my favorite. Blessings to you for sharing!
Such a shame about the smoke but you still saw some amazing views and shared them with us. Those trees, can only imagine why they’re like in person! Thanks!
Hannibal, Missouri (boyhood home of Mark Twain) has a frog jumping contest every year with their 4th of July celebration. I didn’t know that bit of information on the book. Thanks for sharing.
Good to know, thanks for the feedback. This shows that it is different for different people, depending on what they use to watch/listen as well as their internet connection stability. When it’s a video issue, it would happen for everyone. Thanks again! 🧡😊🤓
Just got home from whirlwind trip one week, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, Calico Ghost Town, and Sequoia to see General Sherman! We live in northern Nevada. Love your videos, makes us want to see every place you go!
If your into the redwoods then when you are back up in the Bay Area hit the Muir Woods. It's on the coast, north of the golden gate, cool and so dense in places you can barley see the sky. And the smell is awesome. It's cool in the morning when the fog rolls in.
I found your YT by accident. I have spent the last 2 weeks following your adventures. I really enjoy both of you. I am considering selling my home and down sizing as well. I am 78 years old and on Dialysis, so your excursions have shown me areas of this beautiful country I probably would never have seen otherwise. Thank you. Make sure to get to the Gold country and Monterey They both wont dissapoint you.
I thought the Grizzley Giant was the one that was the biggest. It was huuuuge, then General Sherman. Wow. Both are spectacular. Thanks for showing them from your point of view! You guys are so cool.
Stunning video ,particularly Yosemite N.P. enveloped in smoke...blue sky is expected but with smoke looks so mistic to me ! The Bridal Veil waterfall is visible in May only since melting snow. You guys are so❤️cute... we love when you Brian teas Michelle.
Thanks for the memories! When I traveled through Yosemite it was with a husband (now late and ex) a VERY cranky, toy poodle in a very packed 72 Datsun 510 Wagon. I had forgotten how beautiful it was. BTW, I appreciate the help with the BEAR!!!🙃
Hey guys, yep we are still out watching all your episodes. Know how busy it can be running a channel. So we don't leave too many comments. Yosemite looks gorgeous. Dropped a pin for the future. Just wanted to say hi. Jim & Pearl
Thank you for your wonderful videos. I grew up and still live in the San Francisco Bay Area and have been fortunate enough to experience The Redwoods, Lake Tahoe and Yosemite several times. Watching your reactions to those places has been outstanding! A great reminder of what a truly a beautiful an area I get to call home. Safe travels and looking forward to seeing where your next destination finds you....Palm Springs???
Yosemite is so beautiful. I've been camping in the valley campground several times and it's breathtaking. There is also beautiful camping and hiking in upper Yosemite. Lot's of beautiful medows, and the views also breathtaking. Lot's of bear's! Our group was cooking dinner one night, and we spotted a bear, right up by where we were cooking on the campstove stove. We only discovered it was there when someone shined the light over in that direction. The famous words "Don't move there's a bear" came out of somone's mouth. A cooking spoon to bang on an empty cooking pot scared him off. The bear was so close, you could see it was tagged on the ear by the park. Yosemite park had a way of tagging the bears. I'm not sure if that still happens now. I remember visiting the General Sherman Tree when I was a child with my family. We had our dog Blonde with us. I have a picture from then with family and dog in front of General Sherman. It's amazing to think how old these Giant tree's are. I really enjoy all your video's. I have caught up on most of them, and now look forward to your weely post. They are so entertaining, informative and well made.
I have lived in California my entire life and have never been to sequoia or Yosemite National parks. Every video I see, these parks are so beautiful. Too bad the fires kinda hit several of the lookout views. Thanks for the drive.
We did the trip you guys did through the three parks . It took us two weeks and we still feel as though we rushed it. Yosemite was smoky when we went through it too, but the views were still awesome and beautiful.
Hi! Guys! Great videos! I have been to those National Parks before and the big trees are Amazing! It looks like they have made some improvements with all the story boards and shelters from the rain too. Thank you guys! ❤😊
Wow, it's been some time since I've been there. As a child my parents couldn't afford much they'd save all year for a week in Yosemite Valley and always try and get the same camp site. My Mom and Dad met many families and would send Christmas cards every year to people they met once, sadly all gone now. Come back in April or May, you'll see another beautiful side to this place. Winter too. Safe travels
You do such a good job on these videos! The highlight of my Saturdays. I especially enjoyed the shots of how you showed General Sherman. Boy, what a long day.
Aww thanks, Bridget! 🥰 Knowing you all enjoy them is all that matters. Makes all the stressful days fighting with Final Cut Pro worthwhile. 😂 Honestly, it truly does mean the world to us to bring joy to others. See you guys in Florida this year?
My wife introduced me to your channel. We never miss an episode. We visted Yosemite several years ago; it is a beautiful park. We’re currently in the last week of a four month long road trip in our class A diesel pusher from our Florida home to see the national parks in South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, and Utah, as well as attend the 50th Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Headed to Red Bay, Alabama, tomorrow to have several repairs completed, including a bedroom slideout that won’t extend. There are so many complex systems on these class As that can fail, so we’re intrigued by your Gretch STRADA Ion. You do sacrifice a few comforts, though: living space, residential refrigerator with ice maker, washer and dryer, etc., but you have advantages of being able to fit into tighter spaces, better fuel economy, fewer systems to break. The price scares us, though. Those Gretchs are very expensive!
What a great video and you showed how to do three NP in one day. Good job. We were channel surfing yesterday and saw your very first episode on the channel. You guys have come a long way. Be safe and keep searching for PIE.
Last video, you were at our “home away from work” (Tahoe) 😅 This video, you’re where we spent last weekend. Thank you for reminding us to not take our backyard for granted. Definitely subscribed. Enjoy livin’
We were just there (and Sequoia) 3 wks ago. No idea which fires were the controlled ones versus lightning caused ones. Very interesting how the trees use the fire to their advantage
Other places you have visited top my list compared to Yosemite, I guess. Loved the general Lake Tahoe area for example. America certainly is beautiful!! Something for everyone.
Another stunner! I've got to plan a visit in the spring/summer after leaving Florida. Nice effects viewing the "General Sherman". Creeping up on 50K subs Brian. Way to go. Best, Brian
A great a alternative to Sequoia National Park is CA's Calaveras Big Tree Park not far from Lake Tahoe and Yosemite. All species of great trees including massive Sequoias. One tree felled about 1853 remains laying there which is in the order of General Sherman in Sequoia. You can stand on the huge stump which is over 30' in diameter. Dances were once held upon it. Nice campground with bathhouses plus cabins to rent. Avoid the national park crowds.
We were a little hesitant too but the park is so big that there was plenty of park to see without being in harms way. The park system makes sure to keep visitors safe and notified if there is a need to leave or avoid a certain area.
Went to Yosemite back in 2000 and do not remember making a reservation to get into park. Sounds like the NP are now over crowded. Too bad! Took a sunrise photo tour down in the valley under El Capitan with a Kodak ambassador photographer. Great time and learned a lot! Ya’ll are so cute and funny😅
Sorry your visit to Yosemite was so smoky when you visit it's really beautiful. I know that feeling my grandson came out to visit us back in 2017 and it was smoky that time. Maybe California should change the name of the park to Somky Park. Just kidding 😂
Music is nice but a little loud I have to keep turning it down and then when you talk I can’t hear you so I have to keep turning it up and down and rewinding because I miss some of the talking. Just me?🥴 love your videos 😊
Sorry you are experiencing this. It is only happening to some people. This has been brought up before. Usually when it’s a video issue, it happens for everyone. Videos do sound differently for various reasons and sometimes doesn’t happen with everything you watch. If you have a audio setting on your device you watch with, you can set the settings to Audio Leveling and see if that helps.
And to add to that…Tree knots are also known as “burls”. Burls form on the outside of trees as a reaction to stress. The question is…why do trees stress? They don’t have strict parents or follow politics, so what stress could trees possibly have? 🤪 😂 Just joking of course, no need to answer that. 😂
We’ve been talking about it as soon as we get caught up. We both are very happy with our decision. We wanted to go smaller but didn’t think we would go this small. This Strada-Ion is quite longer than most you see out there though at 24’. For now we are happy but you never know what may be next. 😊🤓
I have a question off the path here. We are looking at Starlink for RVers. We have written a few times on your channel and you are both awesome! I work from home, we use Verizon and ATT, but we are looking at the Starlink. Right now, we are back in TX due to loss of batteries- all 6 of them, and two faucets. We had planned on PA, DC, VA, NC, SC. We could not get into a shop for a month, so we came back to MotorHomes of TX our dealer. They got us right in and a "free spot" with W/E hookups. Please let us know how you like Starlink, good, bad, and whatever else. We are hoping that while we are in Great Falls MT (I saw you stayed at Walmart), my parents live there and own a business there (like fishing- they have the bait). But we will be staying in the KOA for 3 mo. there- at least that is the plan.
Sorry to hear about the troubles getting your motorhome fixed. As far as the Starlink, it comes in very handy when needed. We only use it when our other options aren’t getting a good speed. Much like before, if AT&T was getting a good speed, then we wouldn’t use our Verizon. Again, we only take out the Starlink if one of them isn’t getting a good enough speed. But when we do, the speeds on it are usually very good. It depends on where you’re at and how busy the network is. It’s definitely a good option to have.
Hi Elaine! Ever since we left Iowa, we had a route planned but the only way to see it all and still make it to our commitment for the Balloon Fiesta, we had to rush through much of it and still we’re cut short when it was time to go to the Balloon Fiesta. Hope that helps and hope you’re enjoying the videos. 🧡😊🤓
Can’t believe you only spent one day in Yosemite! Is the WI-FI not good in the area? We camped many years ago in Yosemite Village and had decent WI-FI, although we weren’t using it to remote work. Looking forward to visiting the park again.
Correct, the internet connectivity is almost nonexistent in the Yosemite Thousand Trails campground as well as the National Park. If we wanted to stay longer we would have had to try using our Starlink but we didn’t try it this time so don’t know if that even worked. We also wanted to keep moving to our next destination. It is such a beautiful NP and we definitely want to go back and spend more time there some day.
You should be able to find the reservations online but you can also call this number to find out 209-372-0200 We did not make reservations as mentioned in the video but all National Parks that charge usually have the info online under nps.gov

Impressed to see how well maintained the roads are especially knowing how brutal the winters are in that area...!

Thanks! We’ll see you in Florida! We’ll be doing Meet & Greets on various days. See ya soon! 🧡😊🤓
@@LivinRVision I'll probably be doing the Super Rally with Five2Go, but I'll be in FL from the 14th of October
Loved it!
California IS beautiful! Pray that our leaders don’t let it burn down.
Miss seeing Yosemite but after the fires I'm afraid to go up there 😪 Safe Travels guy's ❤️
We were a little hesitant too but the park is so big that there was plenty of park to see without being in harms way. The park system makes sure to keep visitors safe and notified if there is a need to leave or avoid a certain area.
I love Yosemite!! Did you know that Half Dome was the inspiration for the North Face logo?
We did not! Thanks for sharing that bit of fun fact. 👍🏻😊🤓
@@LivinRVision you are so welcome. I think it’s pretty cool.
I believe some of the NP’s do this during the peak summer months to control the over-crowding.
It's that time of the year for NP to be extremely full
How are those deer burgers. I bet it took Michele a while to get that deer all ground up!
👉🚐👍👊 Found the music!😊
Knot is a burl, nice job guys
And to add to that…Tree knots are also known as “burls”. Burls form on the outside of trees as a reaction to stress.
The question is…why do trees stress? They don’t have strict parents or follow politics, so what stress could trees possibly have? 🤪 😂
Just joking of course, no need to answer that. 😂
I would love you to have a conversation with the camera on how is the class B vs your past rv's? Are you still happy with selling the Airstream?
Wahoo! Three parks in one day.
when did it become a race?
The crowds did not appear huge. Was that the case? What month and day did you visit the parks? Looks like something I might want to add to our list.
We were there on a Saturday in August. It wasn’t too busy earlier in the day.
What route did you take out of Reno NV? 395? I-80?
The smoke really obscured the views terribly. Wish Calif would do better forest mgmt measures.
We don’t recall the exact road name but we’re pretty sure we showed the signs and cities we passed through in the video. 👍🏻
When did you film this? I'm going this week and wondering if there are still fires.
We actually included the dates in the video.
No fires here now. October '22
@@roderickrayrutledge2740 thanks for the info
How do you go about getting a reservation for Yosemite park?
You should be able to find the reservations online but you can also call this number to find out 209-372-0200
We did not make reservations as mentioned in the video but all National Parks that charge usually have the info online under nps.gov
