I almost walked out this movie. The romantic scenes were so boring. Of course the two black witch leads were masculine looking. One bald the other heavy set. I wanted to see some crazy beautiful powerful black women but of course not. Of course not a black love story. It was terrible.
Lol!! Bro I feel you. When I left the Blackening I WAS PISSED… but after this movie I appreciate it for what it is 😂 In a longer version of the video I expressed that I hated it when I first saw it… I respect it now man 😂 this Magic Negros movie was BAD
I agree with every point you both made. I wanted to really like this movie. I love DAG!!!! It was so bad. I stuck with it till the end. I did not see any indication that it was a parody. I wished it was good. I am gonna watch the movies you recommended! Thanks for that. Take care guys.
Komrade! You dont understand how happy we are that you're enjoying the videos! Keep us posted on those movies, I wonder how you'll like them! Hail Kaylex 🤫
Good take. And yeah those channels where they complain about wokeness in every movie are so tedious because they don't talk about anything to do with cinema at all. And if a one dimensional character is female, they make a huge deal of it being a "mary sue" like it's this huge conspiracy. Like, it's a plot driven movie. 9 times out of 10, you're going to get a one dimensional character.
The movie was fine, it was great or anything, but it wasn’t like a disaster like people make it out to be. Justice Smith is a fine actor too, it would have been hard for anyone to make this role be amazing given the script.
When I saw the title I assumed it would be a light-hearted parody of Harry Potter!
lol we were bamboozled! We thought similar
The concept had so much potential and then it just fell apart like they didnt want to upset the establishment.
Its so annoying because with a concept like that they were SOOO CLOSE. Then ruin it with a rom com... and then its not even funny
These ppl at these Sundance film festivals are part of the problem
It’s frustrating, because someone should have been in the room telling him when something is a bad idea.
Which people?
Going back to supporting the white character is CRAZY
Lmfaooo wild statement 😂
Why?
"Magic ROOTS" 😂😂😂 That's EXACTLY it!!! 😂 Brilliant
LMAOO! They gotta do better

This movie was an absolute mess from start to finish and doesn't success in what it attempts to do
They couldn't use sista have love crush.
What you’re basically saying is that a bald or heavy set black woman can’t be beautiful, which is pretty ignorant.
@@Mugiwara2k No I'm saying they pick masculine black women for roles. Hailey Bailey bald would still not be masculine. Get out your feelings.
I figured it would be a mess - UGH! But the Blackening is a SOLID NOOOOOOO! lol

The hardest thing to explain to my children (older teens) is why we saw this movie and I knew I took them there to watch...

This film is so anti-Black that I would not higher anyone who worked on it for any project ever again, if I had the power.
