- www.vladtv.com - Three Six Mafia is arguably one of the few rap groups that have proven to be truly "about that life." During DJ Paul's recent interview with VladTV, the 37-year-old Mafia member relives the moments where he and the rest of the crew should have been dead because of the lifestyle they led in their prime.
The group was the first rap crew to talk about hardcore drugs like cocaine and syrup, and DJ Paul is quick to say that they weren't just rapping about it. "One thing that should have killed us that we used to do a lot was getting high off cocaine for three to four days straight then take Tylenol PMs to go to sleep," Paul remembers.
From weekly binges to a car accident that nearly killed them all, Three Six Mafia has cut it close quite a few times, and fortunately for them (and us) those nights on the edge didn't end it all. Watch as DJ Paul reminisces about it all above.

I don't thinks it's impossible to overdose on lean. It's extremely weak. Usually it's codeine, which is weak as hell. Even strong syrup is weak hydrodcodone. You would have to drink gallons of the shit to od and would probably throw up because your stomach was to full.

Ybthadreadhead I religiously listen to Hypnotize Camp, not just Three Six Mafia, but many of their other artist, and I myself can say it may be my favorite as well. I'm not the type of a person who has a "favorite" anything, but it is a great.
I miss Three Six Mafia (not Da Mafia 6ix) so bad. "When The Smoke Clears" is one of my favorite albums ever.
I miss the Triple Six Mafia... and before that they where putting out DJ Paul and Juicy J mix tapes from volume 1-16... They've been in the game well over 20 years.

Yo DJ Paul is a good storyteller. The story about the bad wreck had me dying. He had gone from having a normal laid back chill conversation, to like some Final destination type action shit with sound effects and all.

Getting arrested saved me from hard drugs. No drug charges just got arrested one too many times and said I have to change my ways "I'm not living this jail life." Got out of some felonies and when I got clear of felonies never went back to hard shit because the hard shit has you around stupid people. Once you have a felony life is a different game to bounce back.
Shout-out to his boy for staying in the car and trying to get it started again; he likely saved the life of that truck driver and other drivers who would have crashed into it!

Well a few months later, my friend ended up in the hospital again. They don't mess around with this stuff in Missouri. My buddy was put into a long term care facility about 4 years ago. He's getting close to 30 years old now and Idk when he'll get out.
