I found the song by typing oxycotton in Kazaa wondering if there was anyone who made songs about it and boom there it was by lil wyte became a instant fan
Oxycontin was my favorite lil wyte song from back in the day , 4.5 years ago I got into a bad car accident and got addicted to taking 3 oxy 80s a day , went on methadone for 4 years now im 5 months off methadone
they only seem to prescribe those to wyt people because i used to go to the doctor and always got tramadol or ibuprofen ... but wyts got all the good stuff
I was lucky enough to meet and chill with lil wyte before one his shows in Kenosha a few years ago. It was unreal cus i grew up smoking to his songs never imagined I would smoke a blunt with him. He was so cool n down to earth. No ego at all, like he isn't a living legend. The show was so lit too, packed and everybody was singing along dam near word for word 😎
As a recovering addict, listening to Oxy Cotton was not why I took opiates. I took opiates for the euphoria then be able to function. I was doing that shit before the song came out. Hell I was already a ways into addiction by then. I listened to the song cause it related to who I was at the time. It also slammed hard af with my stereo system. I have 7-1/2yrs of sobriety and I still have Oxy Cotton on one of my regular playlists. I listened to Kottonmouth Kings or to Lil Jon and neither of them made me smoke weed or drink. I was going to to smoke/drink/pills regardless and just enjoyed listening to them while I was getting my high. Now I still enjoy listening to them without getting that high. A song or artist is not to blame, it’s who the person is. Listening to Jelly Roll doesn’t give me anxiety or depression, it’s who I am or not. Listening to 50 cent doesn’t make me a gangsta, it’s who I am or not. Lil Wyte doesn’t make me an addict, it’s who I am or not.
I'm glad you're staying sober man. Proud of you. It's hard and I know it lingers and it takes a LOT of will power to walk away from it. Again, I'm proud of you.
I had the same reaction to OxyContin when first taken in a high dose, I was deathly nauseous for a day. But then a week later I took another one and was fine and that led to a happy 10 year relationship with OXY and heroin. Sober now.
I remember the first time I snorted ten blues in five minutes and got so nauseous that i threw up and my heart started skipping and i thought i was gonna die. Only did them for 5 more years...

Real s*** and almost nobody talks about it and almost very few people admit how bad it is and almost everybody downplays what people have been through especially those that have gotten themselves out. I spent two years on oxycodone legally prescribed spent 18 years after that on heroin and then 2 years on Fentanyl. I have almost 2 years clean now because of sublocade (which is a miracle drug that will get you off everything truly) but the two years of fentanyl were worse than all of the other s*** put together almost. Ngl me and the homies use to bump this track while snorting OC 80's which eventually led to full blown heroin addiction. Luckily got 3 years clean now but most of the homies from back then are either out still getting high or dead. The US population had that shit pushed on us so hard in the mid 2000's.
I remember my first 80 smh I was hanging over a porch rail passed out midway freakin a black n mild 🤣🤣🤣 OUT COLD.. Then I was in and out smh.. I thought I was ready to graduate from the 40s.. glad I stopped that shit before the price skyrocketed
Fr I took a whole 80 one time(not knowing what it was first) and that shit had me slumped. Any type of movement of more then 10/20 steps had my world spinning and nauseous af. Didn't enjoy that shit at all lol
I’m in my mid 30’s and lived in Atlanta in early 2000’s. I started using Oxy and a bunch of pills back then. I used to listen to this song all the time and wonder how the hell Lil Wyte could be on all this Oxy and Xanax all day like I was and still tour, write and make albums. To now know he wasn’t ever really addicted or took the shit, it make’s perfect sense. I wish I would’ve known that back then. When you’re young and impressionable you want to be like your favorite artists. Of course I don’t blame ANYONE but myself for the 10 years of addiction and misery I went through but it is interesting to reflect on that time and the correlation of idolizing your favorite artists and mimicking what you believe is their lifestyle.
When I was 16 years old in 2001, I went with my family to visit my cousin a few hours away. I got there and were smoking weed, and chilling. And he's like hey man I got these pills, there worth a lot of money can you sell em, I'll let you keep half of what they're worth, something along the lines of that. I don't remember how much my cut was. Anyway, he pulls out these big blue pills, and he's like these are Oxycontin 160 mgs. Most people don't even know 160s even existed, let alone ever seen one. (I had no idea how rare these pills were at the time) They banned them literally like a year later. Anyway, I got these they're called Oxycontin, I had heard of them on the news. He's like they're worth $60 a piece. I'm like holy shit. He's like you gotta be very careful never take a whole one ever. You gotta take the coating off and sniff a really small line. Anyway I'm like alright I'll go and sell them where I live. He gave me 18 of them. Him and his friends had broke into some old lady's house that had died and got them. Or so that's what he told me. Anyway I took them home, and I met up with my other cousin that night and we drove to meet some friends that night. On the way driving he's like let's try some. We did a little tiny line, like maybe a 1/12th of the whole pill between us. And man we got so high. We showed up to my friends house, and we gave everybody a little try. Man long story short that whole summer of 2001 we stayed high on Oxy. 😂. I didn't sell none do that shit, I think I sold 2 or 3 of em. The rest we just balled out and had an amazing summer. Doing Oxy and eating Mushrooms. (I lived in a small cow town in Florida), so shrooms were everywhere. My cousin called the one who gave them to me months later and was like do you got some money? I said yea I got some. I don't remember how much I gave him, I wanna say around $100-150 dollars. Lol totally way less than what they were worth, he gave me about a $1000 worth of shit. He's man I wouldn't even have come if I had known you only had this much money. He was disappointed but wasn't even really mad at me. Anyway, I still think about that time every now and then. Me and my cousin (the one I did them with) laugh about it. Just literally got a lap full of the most powerful painkillers on Earth for free. 160s, nobody has even seen them other than the ones I had. It took us months to consume those things they were so powerful. Crazy
I cant lie lol i love wyte and i grew up listening to him but i was 13 when oxycontin came out and i didn't even know what any of that stuff was but when i heard "percocet" in the song it clicked that i had said percocet in my cabinet from a sergury and i LOVED THE FEELING MORE THEN ANYTHINGGGG and it led me down a 10 year drug addiction. Im not blaming him but yes, that song was the reason i popped my first 4 percocets...
@@chicofromph33nix64 I've literally listened to this type of music my whole life and never once wanted to do these drugs because of a song, people are just weak minded.

I put this on loud af in my car every morning to get me amped for work and just to piss off my suburban neighbors who are a bunch of stiffs. I've loved this for the last 13 years and I still sing along like a madman. Which is kinda funny since I'm 73.
For the people who actually suffer from addiction and someone such as myself who just had a 3rd seizure from Xanax withdrawal don't try and associate with it if you ain't about it
I can understand him… Imagine the amount of people yelling in the crowd for him to perform just this one song. I can remember in the RUclips early days, You could find a thousand of videos of a bunch of different people (even whole families) lypsincing the record
Already knew all about this but I didn't know anything about his start and what he went through as far as his boys having somebody jump his mom. I'm glad he seems to be doing good and is mature and acts like a grown man compared to alot of other rappers his age that still act like teenagers.
Dammmnnn this dude look older and wiser! I remember him from my senior high school days, he got this one track I love so much!!!! “Go to jail for a murder charge…you drunk off that weed and liquor…now yous a killa!” Don’t remember the name but shout out to lil whyte frfr!!! 🫡💪🏾💯
I took two perc 15s, a morphine 10mg and a 5 mg Vicodin the first time I ever took pain pills in highschool. I was pale and sick for three days, couldn't eat or even drink water without throwing up. Like, an hour after I took it I was FLOATING through the school halls between classes and nodding out sleeping in them.

God bless much love and respect from Miami, 305 🇨🇺🇨🇺🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Very sorry to hear about that and very true. I had to have eight surgeries when I was younger and they got me on oxycontin for 2 years and that turned into 18 years of heroin. The only thing that got me totally clean was Sublocade. I am very fortunate that I don't have horrible chronic pain anymore. God bless you 🙏
That first album is a damm classic!! I always feel good with memories when I play that shit!!! Low key I was mad they let t rock go but then they got Lil wyte and I was like aight !!!!💯
I feel u I was sad when project pat got locked up then along came frayser boy!
That was my favorite album I still have it on CD. Hell I just downloaded it from iTunes.
The beat of the song sounds sampled from the main theme song for the Resident Evil movie (First Movie)
Listen to them back to back and let me know if I’m trippin lmaooo
Love the song, and did a lot of opiates to it as well. 5 years clean now from Heroin. Be safe out there.
God bless you 🙏. Almost 2 years clean for me. Sublocade was a miracle for me and now use nothing at all.
Lil Wyte is hilarious!! 🤣 "people thought I put oxycottin on my burgers & eggs"
Ngl me and the homies use to bump this track while snorting OC 80's which eventually led to full blown heroin addiction. Luckily got 3 years clean now but most of the homies from back then are either out still getting high or dead. The US population had that shit pushed on us so hard in the mid 2000's.
Especially in FL. I moved down here right at the height of that shit they were EVERYWHERE.
Dat beat tho salute DJ Paul 💯
awesome video!
this song was a big part of my childhood lol.
i use to smoke every day on my way to school listening to this song.
good times!!!! ❤🤍💜🖤💙
Me and oxy went together like pb&j, unfortunately. I wish I had a negative reaction. Had to move cross country to get clean. Going on 12 years now.
This is so fucking cool hearing from the dude that made the song. He seems really chill
I use to love this song. Still kno every word
That sample was taken from the Resident Evil sound track.
was always cool how some stuff you could just tell was taken from video games
Which one
Doubt me now is always gunna be my favorite 💪🏼
I got so much respect for him as a person, as an artist, & a business man, even though I've never ever met him
When I first start smokin weed.................... Lil Whyte living legend
Ayyyyyoo! Lil Wyte! I remember him!
LoL yup one of the GOATS
This song was a banger back in the day first song of his i ever heard
That's crazy he wrote a song about oxycotton.. and he had a horrible experience on it.. and that autograph signing is insane.. damn
This song on my playlist
Crazy classic still jam it he did something
I remember my first 80 smh I was hanging over a porch rail passed out midway freakin a black n mild 🤣🤣🤣 OUT COLD.. Then I was in and out smh.. I thought I was ready to graduate from the 40s.. glad I stopped that shit before the price skyrocketed
Fr I took a whole 80 one time(not knowing what it was first) and that shit had me slumped. Any type of movement of more then 10/20 steps had my world spinning and nauseous af. Didn't enjoy that shit at all lol
1:06 damn I miss CK’s. I used to go to the one on Austin Peay all the time after the club. 😭
Crazy
This was a dope story. No pun intended. Thank you for sharing!
That’s pretty cool
See u don’t have to die to enjoy !!!
Just don’t be greedy
Very true about the 160s. Did you stop doing the oxycontin after that summer?
I just added it to my Playlist, along with some other tracks
I love the interviewer laughing about doing pills. Classy shit.
@4:01 Evansville Indiana?
Blame the music.. it influences the youth mind and that's what it's meant for..
Yes the youth is easily influenced thru music…….please go burn all your skinny 👖 jeans……them things ain’t cool unless you gotta vagina!!!!
@@chicofromph33nix64 wow you’re a clown
@@chicofromph33nix64 I've literally listened to this type of music my whole life and never once wanted to do these drugs because of a song, people are just weak minded.

Every time I hear this song reminds me of when I use to pop tabs and triples C’s i was only like 15 years old. Crazy times
I for sure listened to the song while high on oxycontin but I found the song after I found oxy. It was legit my anthem when is started doing pills.
Of course that happened in Evansville 😭😭😭
Saw Lil Wyte and Triple 6 on Halloween in Atl in like 2010 and it was one of the most gangster shows I ever been to.
Lost a lot of friends behind this song but still I cant blame lil wyte RIP everyone gone 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Love all your music brother
Still can sing it to this day. Word for word
We used to this all the time back when it was released. way before we knew how much destruction opiates would cause..such a carefree time
Lil wyte is underrated! Bro I heard (this is my smoking song) and he became my favorite white boy rapper no cap! I was 14 at the time in 2004, it was good times back then💯💯💯
I put this on loud af in my car every morning to get me amped for work and just to piss off my suburban neighbors who are a bunch of stiffs. I've loved this for the last 13 years and I still sing along like a madman. Which is kinda funny since I'm 73.
❤ for Lil Wyte!!
Hey man that was cool. I always knew that song would come back and bite ya. But it's a banger homeboiii hell yea. Wee old now 😄
Me not knowing a damn thing about drugs : “GO ON AND SLIP ME 2 XANAX BARS”
I'm ready to get full!!!
Anyone ever find that picture he was talking about?
Dammmnnn this dude look older and wiser! I remember him from my senior high school days, he got this one track I love so much!!!! “Go to jail for a murder charge…you drunk off that weed and liquor…now yous a killa!” Don’t remember the name but shout out to lil whyte frfr!!! 🫡💪🏾💯
You got any behind the scenes stuff on Worm?!?!
Brooo I made so many sales to this an My Smoking song!! The 2000's was CRAZY!
