3-6 and lil wyte got me through some shit as a young adult. I used to ride around with my 2 12"s in my busted ass car, bumping their shit with my boy. Now I'm sitting here as a researcher, remembering how things could've went south quick.
Because of their music, I got into amplifiers and subwoofer box building. While in college, I chose to go with electrical engineering so I could learn about amp design. I didn't make it the first round, went through some things, but eventually came back and finished school for both my bachelors and masters in ECE. Ya'lls music got me inspired to learn about sound waves, which led to electrical engineering, which led to signal processing, which led to AI research. Now it's my career.

Dammit man, that’s a wild turn of event, albeit impressive but still wild. However, as wild and crazy as it may be, I am happy to hear that you are thriving!!! Congratulations, as you did something that a whole lot of folks would have simply never attempted, in the first place, and a good bit of those who did attempt it likely quit after a little while and the ones that did do it were likely pretty intelligent and motivated from the start. And I am NOT saying that you aren’t motivated, because clearly you are… you started school for your specialized trade, ended up quitting, for whatever reason, then you ended up going back and seeing it through to the end and then even went back again to further your education with a masters!!! 99% of people don’t do that. So again, congratulations to you on a job well done. I hope you do everything you’ve ever dreamed of doing and wanted to do in your career and in life!!! The odds are no longer stacked against you!!!

You’re absolutely right about this interview versus your standard, everyday, run-of-the-mill, mainstream interviews. Most every interview I’ve ever seen and/or heard, the one telling the story or the one that’s being interviewed is just constantly being cut off during the time they’re telling a story and even sometimes it’s mid-sentence when they’re stopped and oftentimes taken a totally different direction!!! And my guess, or what I believe, as to what is the main reason that the interviewer oftentimes cuts off the interviewee is just simply because, and again I’m only GUESSING, but I, honestly, think that it’s due to the fact that the person that was invited to the interview, the interviewee, is telling a story or the story and/or saying what they want to talk about, but the interviewer has other ideas and/or plans and really wants to ask the tough questions or maybe wants to ask about or get into something that maybe the interviewee really just does NOT want to, like to, and/or will not talk about and/or has absolutely no intentions of discussing, for whatever reason, maybe it’s too personal, too painful, doesn’t want the masses to know about it among a million other reasons someone may not want to talk about a particular subject, especially when it’s going to be broadcast to the masses. Again, I have no clue as to whether or not I am anywhere in the ballpark and/or even anywhere remotely close to my assumptions being the actual/real reason that the person who is hosting the interview is constantly cutting the invited guest off, interrupting them and/or blatantly attempting to go a different route or to something other than what’s being discussed at that particular moment, but just from what I have seen and heard in the past, I suppose it’s about as good of a guess as any!?!?!?

Hands down this is the best Lil Wyte interview ever. Big Props to you Chad. I love how you went through Wytes entire catalog and more. Next time you interviewe Wyte, can you ask him about the scrapped "Third Times A Charm" album? It was said that Wyte had recorded a song wit Redman for that album and have always been wondering if that true and if he has that song. Although his third album eventually became "The One & Only", the "Third Times A Charm" album was recorded and supposed to be released in 2006 and that's when Wyte had mentioned in an interview about the song wit Redman and quite a few other songs for the album.... But anyways, Salute to you Chad, keep up the great work and ima def keep checking out your page. Would love if there is anyway I could submit a few questions for when the next time you interview Wyte.

WOW!! What a trip down memory lane as a spectator from the outside looking in... I grew up in Muncie, IN & always had so much love & support for 3-6 Mafia growing up & still do & I remember being so proud of #LilWyte for having the skills & talent to stand next to such a legendary music group out of Memphis TN... I remember bumping #LilWyte so proudly as a white kid growing up in a time where there weren't any white rap artists doing the white rapper justice lol but #LilWyte absolutely would bring that justice for us in his raps growing up... I'll never ever forget that time in my life when all that new 3-6 music was dropping with all the #LilWyte features with his fellow label artists... I just graduated High School when 9/11 happened & I sit here thinking about how #LilWyte had so much shit on his plate at that time in his life when the 9/11 terrorist attack just happened & signing possibly the biggest deal in his life... there he was going through the most stressful life events a young man could go through at such a young age... The story about how he met Dj Paul & Juicy J as well as telling us about meeting the infamous Pancho Villa that we always heard Project Pat speak about in his albums like on the album Mista Dont Play Everythings Workin "We Can Get Gangsta" Pancho Villa was mentioned... but the way Wyte explained Dj Paul was watching tv & spun around like Dr. Evil was hilarious lol... Man much love for this interview #ChadArmesTV #three6mafia #LilWyte

Summer 2003..just finished up a pass scrimmage leading into my 10th grade football camp and I got some reps with the varsity squad that night. I remember finishing that night feeling awesome about my reps out there with the big dogs. I rode home with the qb and he pepped me up and said keep working, I was so stoked. I shit you not, he then goes “bro, have you heard of lil wyte?” I go, “nah man, where’s he from?” He goes, “not sure but He’s with 3-6 mafia, check this song out, it’s called oxycotton..” he put it on and we were JAMMMIN! He played it again and I immediately went home and downloaded the song. I got to meet Wyte and DJ Paul at The Red Door down in Destin/Ft. Walton, Fla back in 2010.
Both were cool, but it was truly a pleasure to meet Wyte. He was very humble and gracious to this fan and even bought me a drink when the waitress came around.

The End Instrumemtal he talks about 10 minutes in was actually used in the Prophet Posse Body Parts album for a T-Rock and MChild song Catch a Blast, whoever loves that track should check it out, i think that it was after The End album tho.

I don't know if Mr. Wyte gets to read these comments, but damn I wish you only knew how many systems you were a part of in setting EQs, bass gains and just flowing with that hardass bass kick and those fire lyrics. I'm 41 and I've been jamming your shit since I was fuckin 20 yrs old.

Man...Lil Wyte finally doing a long interview. Been rocking with his music since 04, hands down his music is played in this home more than anyother person or group. You were played on the loud speaker when I was in the military every fuckin day in 07 and 09.....now tour please, preferably more than just two shows in random spots. Post that shit!! Honestly, If someone knows where to get tickets or the best place to look for them, please let me know. Thanks!!!!

I've only ever listened to a couple of dudes songs because I had a celly that had some of his shit on a mixtape. I started watching because of name recognition, and it's taken me about 2 1/2 hours to get through the first hour because I stopped a couple times to listen to a song or 2 and got stuck listening to the entire Doubt me now record. That record could drop today and be hot af.
