Question, would the Princeton Switch be adequate for an admin light for reading maps and other documents? Also would the Charge X which has the capability of outputting 100 lumens at 35 meters be sufficient to illuminate the path in front of me?

As far as the admin piece goes yes absolutely. As far as the 35m your probably going to be looking at a more realistic 20m

Do you run this in conjunction with the S&S M-Ax and surefire head on the opposite rail? And if you could only run one (this Vs the Surefire setup) which would you choose and why? Thanks brotha

Yes and if I would only run one I would probably run the sure fire and the. 3d print filters for ir, red, and blue light

It’s a light that can me mounted a couple different ways and has multiple colors and capabilities. I use it as a low output admin light and mount it to my helmet

Check out the helmet setup videos I have made so you can see it actually setup on the helmet

Up close in low light conditions NVG's are very hard to use because you have to focus them like a camera lens. which is a huge pain in the ass when you need to quickly look down. When want to pack a mag or look at the competition timer a small light with red/green/IR light is perfect when you want to work and not blind you fellow NVG friends. The optional brighter white light is perfect when you are trying to clean up with a hands free light (after everyone turns their NODs off).

@@atomicpsycho1589 sweet, I sorta figured that must be why they have the little adjustable bendy-stems. That makes a lot of sense. My only experience this far with modern Night Vision system is the $100 digital monocular I was gifted from Walmart. It's impressive for $100 , but REAAAAALLY requires that focusing to see much of anything at all.
It would be so handy and awesome if I nthe future , so e form of large red dot style open sight could be utelize to have built in night vision so that the soldier could maintain vision without any optics mounted to his head. Or perhaps a system that was more akin to the depth and bulk of a set of Welding Goggles, which also provided a wider field of view and weapon sight integrated optical targeting, as well with digital ID/tactical systems?. It appears that this is sorta what they are working twords from some videos I've seen rescentky...
I also have seen that some company has been developing a set of contacts that pair with some special glasses, to allow a person's eyes to zoom in uo to 3x normal magnification! I really wonder if something similar could be achieved for thermal/infrared based night vision?
For instance if we could somehow have a pair of advanced contact lenses which act as special filters/enhancers, to somehow combine with an active set of low profile goggles and multiple IR Illuminators/Lasers for weapons and a headlamp system...
Perhaps allowing the bare eye to see the Infrared light via the contacts lenses, as a different shade and frequency of light somehow???
      I dunknow..
I am just pulling stuff out of my own arse lol... and I am just begining tk learn the physics behind basic IR at best....
Anyways, thanks for the information Gentlemen! I look forward to seeing and checking out new gear!
      Rock On!
