As a man city fan i couldn't agree with you more on how those corrupt the premierleague is. Newcastle united owners should be allowed to spend money to get your club competing against the top teams and challenging for trophies. Totally agree that this is nothing to do with sustainability. PIF are the single most sustainable entity on the planet. This is self protection by the other clubs. However I imagine if we were in the position of say Brighton or Bournemouth we would vote against relaxing the rules. That doesn't make it right but we all want the best for our clubs.
The PL are absolute skid marks. I'm fairly sure they over-inflate their commercial deals with Sky and the like! They HAVE to throw the book at City, or it's open season
