As always, let me know your thoughts and lists in the comments!
You ought to have included Koga from the Zanpokuto arc. So dangerous he's sealed away by Yamamoto and the Kuchiki clan, Bakuya even placing killing him as a higher purpose than his duty as the Squad 6 Captain. Mostly the way he treats Muromasa who goes to extraordinary lengths to faithfully free him. The way he alienates him forcing him to suffer unimaginable agony is so cruel Ichigo and co. end up empathetic to Muromasa who they'd previously been fighting.
It’s funny how they were gonna execute Rukia for giving her powers to a human, but then Mayuri is allowed to Maim, mutilate and torture victims at his leisure with absolutely no repercussions. It’s fine. Everything is fine.
In fairness, Rukia's execution order was influenced by Aizen. Many of the Gotei realized the execution was an overreaction but they're duty bound to obey the Central 46.
46:00 Satan's desire was to rule above God. He was known to be a charismatic manipulator who relied on illusion and sought to sit upon the throne of heaven. He seems to literally be based on the Christian Devil.
To further build on this, one of Aizen's evolved forms resembles a cherub, I believe...which is said to be the angelic rank that Lucifer was. Then once he evolved to his final form being the monster Aizen, his design was inspired directly by Satan's seven headed dragon form in Revelations
I definitely agree with you on Kurotsuchi. He turned from "why the hell would we even permit this behavior" in the Soul Society arc, to "yeaaaahh, we're just REALLY glad he's on our side" later in the story 😅😂
The way tokinada tells tosen how his friend got murdered and why and how he feels and understands tosen feeling of injustice when the killer is getting away scott free. only to then uncover a few minutes later that he is the one who killed tosen's friend and enjoyed it. That guy is pure evil
The one thing all three main villains have in common: they all wanted to alter the status quo in some way. Spoiler>/spoiler> - Aizen was a rebel lashing out at Soul Society and its history. He wanted to install himself as a living Soul King, in place of that enshrined, empty husk they have up there; probably thinking he would've been able to run Soul Society himself. (He didn't really know as much about the bigger picture as he thought: The Zero Division answers only to the Noble Clans. The Nobles are the true rulers in the shadow, and the Soul King , is both a vegetable, and a figurehead.) - Yhwach wanted to restore the ancient world from before the Soul King's creation. And he'd do it by reunifying the three separate worlds (Soul Society, Hueco Mundo and the Human world) So, he absorbed the Soul King's remains ,along with Mimihagi (its literal right hand) in order to become powerful enough to do so. The three-world merger would've eliminated the balance of souls, along with the cicle of death. Yhwach thought this would cease conflict permanently and save Quincies from extinction. He was also willing to exterminate the shinigami in the process, in revenge for turning the original Quincy into the Soul King. (The Soul King was a composite being, a common ancestor for humans, shinigami, quincy, and even fullbringers. Since He had quincy blood, too, that makes Him the true "Father of all quincies". Yhwach inherited his own power, the Allmighty, from Him. That's why Yhwach is considered a Quincy Messiah.) - Tokinada simply wanted to uncover everything, and reveal the existence of the Shinigami and Soul Society to humans. As a noble, he's well-aware that the whole system is built upon lies and fabricated history, so, he feels entitled to revealing the truth. He also wanted to install a living Soul King up there: Hikone, an artificial human being he created combining human, shinigami, quincy and arrancar genes. (Remember Gremmy, the sternritter V, who fought Kenpachi? Hikone has his brain, too) Spoiler>/spoiler>
That's what makes Bleach so fun to read the second time, everyone has a chip on their shoulder, you just have to pick the lesser evil. Free the Fullbringers, they ain't done nothing wrong
Tokinada is the type of villain I really like, that we sadly don't really see a lot of anymore, cuz we need to relate to our villains, to understand their motives. Tokinada is just evil for the sake of being evil. He's doing the things he does simply because it pleases him, because he likes doing it. He doesn't have any real motivation, no real reason for his actions, not really anything he's trying to achieve, he's just straight up evil, and I love that.
I think that’s why villains like Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen is so popular right now. He’s so evil and extra that it’s just entertaining when he shows up.
@@knucklecracks2.0Sukuna does what he does because he wanta to experience someone who can push his limits, Tokinada does everything because he just wants people to suffer.
@@knucklecracks2.0 Sukuna, to be honest, is not that different to Perfect Cell. Only that he fully kills once he's done with the target. But Tokinada is a greater evil for me. Sukuna is just a guy who fights and kills. Tokinada is someone who would ruin a person's life simply because he felt like doing so that day. It's brilliant.
Tokinada definitely tops. He's evil and relishes it with without apologies, excuses or even reasoning. He just wants to unleash chaos to slate his malice. The most insidious aspect of his plan was to reveal the truth of the Spirit worlds to humanity knowing full well that it would provoke both despair and conflict, he even gleefully expressed hope that humans would unleash their destructive military technology in it all. He's enough to make even the worst among others do a double take and then be repulsed.
Facts. If there is one positive thing you could say about Tokinada, it is that he does not seem to be a sexual deviant. In that regard, someone like Szayel does comes across as even more vile then even the twisted noble, at least in one way. Still, Tokinada does deserve the title of most evil overall, for how much enjoyment he derives from acts of pure sadism.
@jrgenvellesen7800 just curious but how would he be a sexual deviant, he doesn't even register people as sentient beings with honor and respect let alone having a relationship with someone, his wife being exectpion as I belive his family forced him to marry Kakyo with him not bring able to do anything about it
@@mystic1360 True, he kind of lacks the mentality to be a sexual deviant, given how he generally views others. But, the novel does hint that a part of him wanted to bring Kakyo down to his level of evil, and that he does seem to have some kind of respect for those who are genuinely kind, like her and Ichigo. Which implies he is capable of some kind of twisted love and understands traditional morality, he just dismisses it since he considers being evil the natural way of being, after learning about the Original Sin.
@jrgenvellesen7800 what are you even talking about... This isn't berserk there is no r4p3 or any sht like that why would anybody in bleach at all be a sexual deviant or anything like that
@@UryuCifer It is not explicitly stated, but a lot of the subtext around Szayel imply that he is a sexual deviant. From his release form being named "Fornicaras" meaning "You Will Fornicate", to his ultimate technique being to impregnate someone and the theme song Kubo chose for him being titled "Rape me".
Personally I think Gin is a good honorable mention. People forget that despite his planned betrayal to Aizen and his love to Rangiku, he was willing to kill and mentally/physically torture anyone to achieve his revenge. He directly kills many shinigami, majorly injures Jindanbo, byakuya and more in the soul society arc, and without good reason he torments Rukia before her execution (either because he actually does have a sadistic side or potentially because Aizen was watching and he wanted to keep up his facade, regardless it didn't really accomplish anything)
To me, Aizen can be considered the most accurate representation of the Morning Star. No horns. No red skin. Not even a dark suit. Just a man with a soothing, yet menacing presence.
Nnoitora's character is deeply misunderstood by fans. Nnoitora is not a sexist. Nnoitora's vice is that He's insecure. The only reason Nnoitora has a particular hatred against Nel not because she's a woman, but because he felt that she looked down on him. She was the only espada that followed Nnoitora everywhere because she pitied him and that pissed him off. He hides his true insecurities behind his so called "sexism". Nnoitora is shown not to have anything against Harribel who's also a woman in the same rank as Nel was. Nnoitora's character is that of a bully who doesn't like being looked down on. He tells Tesla he doesn't like Nel because she's a woman but that's because he's hiding his insecurities from his subordinate. Nnoitora's true character shows Everytime he's shown together with Nel. He never makes reference to her being a woman. He only tells her to leave him alone. And he monologues to himself: "why don't you see that pitying me makes me feel worse?".
Nnoitra and Ulquiorra both have compelling representations of their respective aspects of death. Most fans dislike him because of his sexist comments and didnt give time to understand him
@@abhinandp1844Loved Nnoitora. Both his vulgar and borderline sexist attitude, to his savage and brash fighting style. You dont see many characters like his exist anymore cuz people nowadays are too damn sensitive and cancel culture is everywhere.
Ngl I place Ichibei on a higher tier of evil than say Yhwach and Aizen. He's a specific kind of evil that makes people like Aizen and Yhwach rise up to begin with. He's not the same as Urahara because as far as they're concerned the status quo already existed, and they didn't want to risk anything ruining that. Ichibei on the other hand was an active collaborator in what the status quo ended up being. He could have had a living Soul King who actually ruled, but he didn't want that. Instead he got a puppet and planned to do the same to Ichigo. If he truly cared about the "greater good" he could have groomed Ichigo to be an actual king. Instead he wanted to turn him into an undead corpse to be used as a glorified battery.
How is it worse than what Aizen or Yhwach did? Ichibei sacrificed people for his goals whereas Aizen and Yhwach kill/torture people even if it's not necessary for their plans.
Yes, finally someone who shares my view. Ywach Aizen Yamajii all of these are people who were given this world and that shaped their views. Ichibei is the one that shaped it, that led to the rise of all these.
@@Daniel-q9f8pAizen and Ywach are playing the game that essentially Ichibei created. To me he is undoubtedly the worst of the worst even though I like his character. Ywach and Aizen for me are not evi in reasoning l but the actions they take are evil. Ichibei on the other hand is evil from the get go. That is my interpretation of his character. For example - ywach desire of a world without death is noble in a way it's just that his actions arguably are not justifiable. Ichibei on the other hand has a very narrow and self serving view and evil is inherent in him unlike the other two.
@@talhaansari62Aizen's definitely still quite evil, the glee he takes in the unnecessary wickedness and disregard for life he partakes in during his journey towards his goals compared to Yhwach's ruthless pragmatism even if not nearly as extreme as say Tokinada is quite a sight to behold. Bro had no reason to do in Toshiro like that, or Halibel, but he chose to anyways. Still Tokinada is basically the Joker which speaks for itself.
It’s funny if you think about it. Aizen can be considered the Devil of Bleach, Yhwach can be considered the evil God of Bleach, and Tokinada can be considered an evil representation of humanity. Because while the first two have grand aspirations and designs that involve undoing the corrupted status quo-goals that would noble if they weren’t so monstrous-Tokinada is evil purely for the sake of being evil. And while the Soul Society was rotten long before these three entered the scene, Tokinada’s actions have had long term repercussions that made it easy for Aizen to sink his claws and enact his plans of ascension. That’s the funny thing, though. Aizen wanted to become God and succeeded in some sense. Yhwach became the new Soul King. Tokinada? He just wanted to puppet the person he wanted to make the Soul King. All because he was an asshole.
Completely agree with this list and the placements. With how much you adore Aizen as a character, I figured you would put him at number one, but I'm glad I was wrong about that lol. Tokinada is essentially the Joker of Bleach, chaos and evil for no sake except for enacting chaos and evil. I couldn't imagine another character being considered more evil than him. Hope we eventually get CFYOW in an anime form so more people can truly appreciate how despicable he can be
I think they are all evil in their own ways: Aizen is a puppet master, who manipulates and deceives others into doing his bidding, Yhwach is a tyrant who remorselessly uses Quincies as expendable cannon fodder and/or massacres them via Auschwählen in order to boost his own power. Tsukishima is a sadist who tortures you and then mocks you for it, Mayuri's experiements promise a fate far worse than death, while 1st Gen. Yamamoto was just as ruthless commander as Yhwach.
I'm glad you put Tsukihima on the list. When you made the poll i made a point that i think he was genuinely the most evil character on the list because of all the reasons listed, and I'm glad I wasn't alone.
For me, Askin is surprisingly eviler among the Sternritter because he simply wants to see the three worlds destroyed by Yhwach just because he's curious. I mean yes, he's a goofball among the members of the Schutzstaffel but his motivation is just psychotic for a guy who didn't want to get his hands dirty too often.
Huh? That's like saying someone is evil because they be wondering on how the world will end. Literally everybody thought about it at some point in their lives.
@@shadymann9468he actually goes through with it, though. he doesnt care for the loss of life that would happen, just as long as he doesnt get his hands dirty in the process
Another promo banger! You and your lovely wife are so well-spoken! It's a pleasure to hear you both every time in these little sections!! Great top 10 as always ofc!
@@infinitysamm3338 tokinada is not eviler he is more smarter than aizen, he know aizen plan and chose ignoring that because he can enyoy the show, tokinada is weaker than aizen but he can battle with all race in bleach without army like quincy or fullbringer +aizen find hogyoku in rangiku is chance than tokinada creat hikone to become soul king (hikone creat with dna quicy, shinigami, fullbringer and hollow) In manipulator and evil
I'd argue that Ichibe is amoral rather than immoral. As you said, he does not act out of malice, but just to preserve the order of the world. He can't really be judged based on the morality of humans, they are literally beneath his notice.
The "a million is a statistic" idea is so true. A villain can slaughter an infinite number of innocent nobodies, but it counts for basically nothing compared to the abuse of a single character that we know.
Damn, Kubo is really good at making villains, isn't he? Like, the only one I don't particularly love (or, "love to hate") from the entire list is Szayelaporro, but even he has great moments. All the others are straight up amazing characters. Great vid! I especially liked the Ginjou/Tsukishima part, I hadn't noticed or considered a few things mentioned there.
The worst part about him is that, as he pointed out to Yoruichi and Soifon, he's typical of the nobility and the other families would happily join him in his imperialist aggression so long they get more power and control. Yoruichi does not deny this, her tone sad and lamentable.
I hope we get to see more of the noble families. We know only the white sheep (Byakuya, Yoruichi, some of the Shibas, Kukaku, Ganju, Kaien, Ichigo's dad, Isshin) The rest musn't be much different from Tokinada: maybe not as vile as him, but still as uppity and self-centered. They wouldn't want to uncover Soul society's existence, but they'd do anything to both maintain the status-quo and attain further control. They already have the Zero Division under their thumb: this means Ichibei himself is at their command. Although he'd rather keep out of Soul Society's issues, he'll get more involved if the nobles tell him to. It's pretty clear to me the Nobles themselves ,as well as Ichibei, had kept an eye on Ichigo since he first showed up in soul society. Like Ichibei, the Nobles see him as a suitable Soul King replacement ,largely, for having quincy genes; they all assumed he was directly related to Juha Bach, but it's way more complicated than that: humans and quincies are related in Bleach, and the Soul King is their common ancestor. He had both human and quincy genes, which makes him the first quincy. Tokinada didn't know any of this, and his father was the one who explained it all to him. (Ginjo used to be a shinigami substitute too, until Tokinada screwed him over, and ruined everything: he sent people to kill Ginjo and co. ,framing Captain Ukitake as the one who ordered them killed. After Ginjo killed the assassins in self-defense, Tokinada framed it as him snapping and murdering people unprovoked.)
What do you mean, it's Tsukushima who all trained all these bastards, they won't be a sliver of evil if Tsukushima haven't been there with all of them in the backgrounds
@@Snzn_7 You said it. Ginjo and the other full-bringers, are anti-heroes at best, but it's Tsukishima who they should keep an eye on. Even Ginjo ,deep down, must think that guy can't be fully trusted.
Yesh, I knew my man Toki-san was gonna be number uno as soon as I saw the title. And yes, this is one of the most interesting lists because as you said, Bleach's world is very far in my opinion from just black and white when it comes to alignments and this is one of many main things I love about it.
Great video! I would personally put Yhwach slightly higher than Aizen in terms of evil because i just found his actions far worse and hypocritical but thats just me.
I think in terms of "most evil" Tokinada wins by a large margin. He is devoted to bringing about utter chaos on a universal level, solely due to his bent as existing in the most evil, perverse, destabilizing, and cruel foil to the state of affairs between the 3 realms. Aizen and Ywach have principles/goals, that lead to subjugation genocide and destruction yes, but not for their own sake. Tokinada is evil for evils sake.
I personally put Ichibei at at least Number 3 because even if his evil is detached to the point of mechanical, his lack of care for the negative consequences of his many crimes and the scale of those consequences go far beyond any other. Even Aizen and Ywach aren't this unyielding snd dedicated towards making life worse.
@@randomdude3773 Ichibei is an ancient, systemic evil beyond what at least Aizen could hope to represent. Ywach might come close as the abuser-in-chief of the Quincy, but Ichibei does not care who gets hurt so long as his status quo is maintained, and the crimes he was party to as well as the lies he propagated all trickled down into the fundamentally corrupt and evil system that is Soul Society.
Honorable mention, Shrieker. Still the only character to be dragged to hell in the main series, actively wanting to murder kids... yeah seems pretty evil
Aizen is one of the best characters but damn, I’m sometimes half convinced he’s a sadist. The way he always just sets up situations to be emotionally damaging on purpose and manipulating people against each other. Which makes it even more impressive that Tokinada is so genuinely vile that everyone hates him. He’s everything wrong with the soul society and it’s great
I mostly agree with your list. I don't think Ichibei is evil compared to everyone else on the list; so I would probably put him in my (dis)honorable mentions. I also appreciated that you brought up that Yamamoto and Unohana had changed during the last 1000 years. A large part of the Bleach fandom seem to assume that they are still the same people that they were back then, when their actions clearly show otherwise. Regarding Kubo not killing off Mayuri in TYBW that might just be because he's his favourite. I don't fully buy the narrative of the captains reckoning with old sins; I don't think it is moral judgement judging by who gets killed off. If anything Yamamoto and Unohana have been repenting, and Yamamoto's change of attitude and acceptance of Ichigo is the reason Yhwach is defeated in the end. And Ukitake just died.
I really don't get why people think Ichibei is that evil lol. They're definitely overestimating his EVILNESS. Mutilating Ichigo to save millions of souls isn't really an evil thing to do is it now. Meanwhile Szayel is literally Josef Mengele with pink hair XD
Because he was willing to sacrifice a character they really like and they don’t understand that he doesn’t do anything unless it threatens the soul cycle. Basically they don’t think deeper. These are the same people that thought grand fisher was the most evil in a poll with Quilge…
Great breakdown of the evil nature and aspects of these characters. The possibility that we could get an anime adaptation of CFYOW and get to see a main evil antagonist that goes beyond Aizen, Yhwach, and Ginjo/Tsukishima is very exciting.
Kurotsuchi Mayuri feels weirdly like an echo of the brutal, bloodthirsty Gotei of old. Ironically, moreso than Kyoraku, Ukitake, and Unohana do, at first glance.
Aizen was a total sociopath but he had well refined rules and didn't care if someone was an enemy or not, he'd align with whatever suits his purpose which is clearly ruling all of creation. Yhwahc wanted to break everything then rule over whatever creation he imagined. Tokinada just wanted to wreck shit lol. Tokinada is 100% the worst because he lacks reason. Yhwach is a close 2nd. Aizen would potentially make a great ruler. He blurs the lines between good and evil for Bleach as of the last arc.
I'll give Aizen credit for standing against stagnation and complacency. He embraced change, wanted to explore opportunities and new ways of doing things. He's similar to Mayuri and Urahara in that way except more focused. Mayuri and Urahara experimented for science without any real long-term vision, but Aizen had greater purpose. The problem is that he's utterly selfish and doesn't care about the consequences of his actions at all.
The numerous varying mentalities- an extension of their wonderful character designs- of the characters in ‘Bleach,’ is my favorite part of the series by far. Kubo really just knocks it out of the park with his characters.
I like to think that after being nearly killed by what was basically the result of his own actions in the form of Uryu, Mayuri lightened up a bit. Probably not a conscious effort on his part, but you can't go through a near death experience like that and not be humbled on some level.
To quote Pat from Super Best Friends when comparing other Jojo villains to Cioccolata... "DIO was a sanctimonious, arrogant, god-figure, and he told the guy to drive down the street, because he didn't care. Not because it made his dick hard!" which perfectly describes the reasons why Tokinada is the most evil character in Bleach. He doesn't do what he does for some personal end-goal, like Aizen, Ginjo, or Yhwach. He does it because loves it. Tokinada loves making life hell for people, and takes a sick pleasure in what he does.
I would say all things considered that this list is basically perfect, but to give Yhwach some credit as a devil's advocate (ironically) if the TYBW anime is anything to go by he does sympathize with the death of the Quincies genuinely considering that he literally feels the trauma of every soul's memory of death returning to him. I mean if you felt the dying pain of every person you so much as touch wouldn't you wanna get rid of death at all costs. Also Royd having been given Yhwach's personality and memories feels genuine pain seeing Yhwach's dead comrades. Now I'm not saying he doesn't deserve his placement on this list (he does due to the sheer magnitude of his callousness), but much of his evil stems from a distorted way of thinking brought about by the inherently messed up nature of his own existence, kinda like a disability of sorts and tbh I'd also argue Ichibei being just as evil as Yhwach if not on the level of Aizen, bcause the current state of the world which gave rise to monsters like Aizen or Yhwach and even Tokinada was created by Ichibei for no justifiable reason. He has no reason to conspire against the Soul King, yet he did so anyway, he had no need to make Ichigo a backup battery and instead could've trained Ichigo to be a genuine king, but instead he doesn't. Rather Ichibei like Aizen is obsessed with control and tbh I see Ichibei being higher on this list then he is. Just my two cents on things.
I know it's not pertinent to the subject of the video, but it's really nice to hear someone use the singular of words such as "millennium" or "criterion" correctly
Aizen is the man and I’m hoping so much that additional content of him is included in the next anime part 3. Please extra material of what happens to him afterwards ❤
I think the most evil people are the ones who honesty think they’re not evil and are actually good; that mentality clears their consciences to commit atrocities that people who know they’re evil would hesitate to commit
The people that named early Gotei as criminals were Quincies so there's huge bias. Shinigami aren't heroes, but keepers of balance. Whether you like it or not. In eyes of Quincies there are bad and if they protect balance with more efficiency, they are criminals.
You know someone is the purest embodiment of evil when literally all of the factions in the verse, most of whom are natural enemies of each other, decide to join forces in the effort to defeat them.
"Once a grenade is thrown it shouldn't come flying back."-that one line shows just how depraved Soul Society is to employ someone like Mayuri. My headcanon is that Mayuri was the head of the infamous Unit 731 when he was alive.
I don't know; I think Unit 731 is worse than Mayuri because Mayuri doesn't justify his evil. He knows he is evil and does what he does to become powerful for a goal. Unit 731, on the other hand, were just torturing people for the sake of torturing them.
Yhwach was literally taunting yamamoto on how weak he became but he didn't even fight him directly and he waited until he was weakened by his bankai and stole it and tokinada is so twisted he was willing to sacrifice an innocent child like hikone to the terrible fate of being the soul king and hikone thought that tokinada was a wonderful and nice person but he only sees them as a tool and sacrifice
Realizing now, under this context, if Aizen hadn't played his part, some of Ichibe's evils wouldn't have occurred (ignoring that the gotei would be destroyed before then) Much of the vandenreich didn't get to encounter Mayuri, and their king's overall goal didn't have to do with getting revenge
The answer is simple and it works similar to that of a Quincy Sklaverei and this is all because yhwach power, what he did is similar to what Aizen due to the Arrancars and the Vizards he must have transplant all his soldiers powers of that of Shinigami by doing so they can strip away the other shinigami Zanpakuto since The bankai itself it's literally made out of spiritual energy/power In other words trapping and subjugating the soul remember when a soul dies it is transferred towards yhwach which is transfer to the other Quincy's like a link or a server
Honorable Mentions: "It is not your fault that the world is what it is. It is only your fault if it stays that way." Meanwhile the top 3 are unique in that they _actively made the world a worse place_ by their very own actions. They are not just evil, they were perpetuating evil. They were not just living in a bad world, they actively made sure the world continued to be bad. And not just on a small person scale, but on large scales. Towns and species worths of victims.
Tokinada is so evil that he spoiled me hia zanpakuto, in I remember that I was reading the light novel and got him in bbs but his shikai wasn't revealed or I just wasn't at that point
It is questionable that Yamamoto “atoned”, he may have mellowed out and decided to be less bloodthirsty, but I doubt that he ever the kills he made when he was more violent to have been “wrong”, such that he’d need to atone for them.
Agree. For Yamamoto his view seemed to be that the brutality was unfortunate, but necessary at the time. He didn't necessarily atone, he simply adjusted for times of peace. I'd say the same for Unohana as well. She doesn't seem to be that regretful of her past actions, in fact she seems to almost miss who she formerly was. Her view seems to be not so much that her actions were wrong, but more that only _the_ Kenpachi is entitled to the thrill of battle she enjoyed. Once the current Kenpachi proved himself more worthy of the title Unohana "retired" and found a pursuit that doesn't involve battle.
@tenryunaito3763 tbf Mr Tommos opinions are not factual. But ultimately Yhwach is undoubtedly evil for most people. He's a good guy only if you support his agenda and are willing to overlook the numerous genocides that occur in order for his goals to be achieved
@@kakashihatake1029 MrTommo's points aren't automatically factual, but I still don't get how he can name off canon material and still have people saying that Yhwach was a good guy.
@tenryunaito3763 people will always d ride Yhwach and especially Aizen no matter what they do because they buy into their perspectives too much. E.g Yhwach looks like a hero in that meeting scene with Ichibei. And because he's essentially trying to restore the universe to its natural state, people think he's a good guy and ignore all the genocides he commits. Same goes for Aizen. People assume he's just trying to end corruption and nothing else so they buy into that and treat him like a hero while ignoring his sins like torturing and experimenting on numerous important characters as well as a plethora of unnamed shinigami.
I enjoy Tokinada's purely evil disposition, because in a way it feels more 'honest' than Aizen and Yhwach, he doesn't shield himself with some kind of supposedly noble motivation, he's just doing what he wants to.
Then going to Hell would apply if they were Hollows who committed depraved acts as humans. As Ginjo and Tsukishima are Fullbringers, after death they were sent to the Soul Society
@@zayneabdelmegid2740 hmmm I don't think fullbringers are immune from going to hell. That would kind of defeat the purpose of hell. People can go to hell without becoming hollows I'm pretty sure.
@zayneabdelmegid2740 well I'm pretty sure that a very clearly evil human who has no regrets and no reason to stay on earth will go to hell as soon as they die because they won't be forced to turn into a hollow
@@truthspreader1996 bc the end when you find out that Tsukishima’s power was working the whole time Byakuya did love him and killed him anyway bc he loved Itchigo more and knew he wouldn’t be able to kill Tsukashima
1st place is clearly Chair-sama. Binding Aizen just because he was told so, not questioning that order, torturing the former captain to sit for all eternity
Aizen and Yhwach are on equal footing for evil. They both have an equivalent disregard for life. They will sacrifice anyone or anything to advance their agenda. Completely devoid of emotional attachments.
Imo, manga only 1. Mayuri 2. Barragan 3. Yammy 4. Yhwach 5. Aizen 6. Ichibei 7. Grand Fisher 8. Szayelaporro 9. Nnoitra 10. The hollow of the parakeet arc
I feel like Yhwach was more evil than Aizen, he had some glimpses of good inside him such as sparing Tousen of his existence and saving the day at the end of the series
Yo where's the guy who killed mother and the kid and was really happy about it. The one for whom the gates of hell were opened in the first 20-30 episodes if I'm correct.
He murdered both of his Captain Co-conspirators, attempted to wipeout a city to create a key & even deleted some of its civilians, & that's not even going into his experiments or what he did to the Gotei 13.
If I were to choose who is the most evil character who deserves to be number one on the list, I would easily say Tokinada because like come on we all know he is a vile sadist and he represents all of the most pure evil wickedness of Soul Society along with being a menace to society
Kokuto from Hell Verse is one of the most evil characters in the whole series, at least in my opinion, simply due to his targeting of Ichigo's family and friends, not manipulating like Tsukishima, I mean straight up kill those closest to Ichigo in order for him to succumb to his inner hollow so has to escape Hell. Thats not counting his countless crimes he committed while live, with the some implications being he killed other people younger siblings so they would feel his pain at losing his own sister. Petty, insane and completely in deniel of his own atrocities, he's my pick one of the evilest characters in bleach, only being supplant by the likes of Tokinada, Aizen and Yhwach.
You know these types of evil characters are what inspired me to create characters somewhat based on them just so I can give them the punishment they deserve. While my hatred for some in this list has passed, most should not get out scout free and gain some sort of satisfaction near their deaths.
Bro Ichibe is worst than most of these characters, he’s a cold hearted old man with no moral compass, who is ok with dismemberment, imprisonment, manipulation and killing without mercy all to protect a world that’s based on a massive sin. The act of upholding such a society is a sin in itself and killing mercilessly to keep it the way it is, also is terrible. He doesn’t care about anyone.

Bleach is full of monstrous villains and morally questionable schemers, so let's rank the top 10 most evil of them all! As always, let me know your thoughts and lists in the comments!
I don't believe you understand Aizen. Good video regardless.
Would love to hear your thoughts on Ginrei Kuchiki and his potential Bankai.
@@vilelucayeah, even Renji mentioned when the order was first handed down that execution was an extreme punishment for the crime she committed.
@@vilelucaAlso in the SAFYW novel, Mayuri was being put on trial for the Soul Reapers he blew up in the Soul Society Arc but that was interrupted.
Because it's corruption he has use for them while rukias was done by Aizen
Who's "they"? if wasn't Aizen, Rukia wouldn't even be sentenced to be executed.

Satan's desire was to rule above God. He was known to be a charismatic manipulator who relied on illusion and sought to sit upon the throne of heaven. He seems to literally be based on the Christian Devil.
More like based on the luciferr tv show devil, the mistaken bad guy that was never the bad guy to begin with
@@UryuCifer Aizen is the bad guy. Him and Yhwach both. Denying that is foolish.
Tokinada is so damn evil he goes beyond this list.
It's telling how Yoruichi told him that she'd rather be ruled by the likes of Aizen than by him. He's THAT nasty........
@@manuelacosta9463Nasty ass mf, but his drip is clean
Tokinada definitely deserves the title of the most evil character in the series. A true sadist and a embodiment of the evils of the Soul Society.
Tokinada should have been 4, Aizen 3, Ywach 2, and Ichibei 1, IMO.
I think strength plays too big a part in your calculations
The way tokinada tells tosen how his friend got murdered and why and how he feels and understands tosen feeling of injustice when the killer is getting away scott free. only to then uncover a few minutes later that he is the one who killed tosen's friend and enjoyed it. That guy is pure evil

RIP Akira Toriyama. Without his encouragement, we may never have had Bleach.
well, no
Bleach is such a mix of morally ambiguous characters.
Almost anybody has dirt to cover
The one thing all three main villains have in common: they all wanted to alter the status quo in some way.
Spoiler>/spoiler>
- Aizen was a rebel lashing out at Soul Society and its history. He wanted to install himself as a living Soul King, in place of that enshrined, empty husk they have up there; probably thinking he would've been able to run Soul Society himself. (He didn't really know as much about the bigger picture as he thought:
The Zero Division answers only to the Noble Clans. The Nobles are the true rulers in the shadow, and the Soul King , is both a vegetable, and a figurehead.)
- Yhwach wanted to restore the ancient world from before the Soul King's creation. And he'd do it by reunifying the three separate worlds (Soul Society, Hueco Mundo and the Human world)
So, he absorbed the Soul King's remains ,along with Mimihagi (its literal right hand) in order to become powerful enough to do so.
That's why Yhwach is considered a Quincy Messiah.)
- Tokinada simply wanted to uncover everything, and reveal the existence of the Shinigami and Soul Society to humans.
Hikone has his brain, too)
Spoiler>/spoiler>
That was the plan
Including ukitake i guess
That's what makes Bleach so fun to read the second time, everyone has a chip on their shoulder, you just have to pick the lesser evil. Free the Fullbringers, they ain't done nothing wrong
Glad the video called out aizen. He is a great villain, but he is pure evil, and the people say he is misunderstood. Let their love for him blind them
Fax as hell. It's amazing how people will go to any lengths to defend him 😂
Even Hinamori wasn't that down bad
@@knucklecracks2.0 Unfortunately a fraud tho
@@knucklecracks2.0 Sukuna doesn't come close to Tokinada and some of the others
Dont know if you were a Dragon Ball fan but the goat Akira toriyama has sadly passed away.
"Aizen is perhaps the closest thing bleach has to the devil himself." This line was fire 🔥

Agreed but even then he's less evil than Tokinada. That dude was straight up cartoon levels evil.@@talhaansari62
Aizen didnt have courage to become a God. Yhwach defeated by himself. Tokinada is true evil.
Tommo is one of the only people, who have such entertaining promotion video sections that i never skip them. Great video, keep up the good work man.👍
I'm glad you put Tsukihima on the list.

Agreed
The "a million is a statistic" idea is so true. A villain can slaughter an infinite number of innocent nobodies, but it counts for basically nothing compared to the abuse of a single character that we know.
Damn, Kubo is really good at making villains, isn't he? Like, the only one I don't particularly love (or, "love to hate") from the entire list is Szayelaporro, but even he has great moments. All the others are straight up amazing characters. Great vid! I especially liked the Ginjou/Tsukishima part, I hadn't noticed or considered a few things mentioned there.
I was starting to miss the 45minute videos, Tommo.
Tokinada makes even Aizen and Yhwach look like saints
The worst part about him is that, as he pointed out to Yoruichi and Soifon, he's typical of the nobility and the other families would happily join him in his imperialist aggression so long they get more power and control. Yoruichi does not deny this, her tone sad and lamentable.
I hope we get to see more of the noble families. We know only the white sheep (Byakuya, Yoruichi, some of the Shibas, Kukaku, Ganju, Kaien, Ichigo's dad, Isshin)
The rest musn't be much different from Tokinada: maybe not as vile as him, but still as uppity and self-centered.
Like Ichibei, the Nobles see him as a suitable Soul King replacement ,largely, for having quincy genes; they all assumed he was directly related to Juha Bach, but it's way more complicated than that:
humans and quincies are related in Bleach, and the Soul King is their common ancestor. He had both human and quincy genes, which makes him the first quincy.
Tokinada didn't know any of this, and his father was the one who explained it all to him.
(Ginjo used to be a shinigami substitute too, until Tokinada screwed him over, and ruined everything:
he sent people to kill Ginjo and co. ,framing Captain Ukitake as the one who ordered them killed.

You said it. Ginjo and the other full-bringers, are anti-heroes at best, but it's Tsukishima who they should keep an eye on. Even Ginjo ,deep down, must think that guy can't be fully trusted.

Stop saying all these things about my brother Tsukishima ! He was there for me at every step of my life he would never do anything like that !!
"Perhaps Kubo himself felt Mayuri might not have deserved it" is a pretty ridiculous statement.
Hell nah. Ichibei is not evil at all compared to the actual evil ones. Did you even watch the video? He explains everything perfectly.
You look at it from a human perspective
Honorable mention, Shrieker. Still the only character to be dragged to hell in the main series, actively wanting to murder kids... yeah seems pretty evil
How Grand Fisher got on the list but not him is stupid.
Dont sleep on ichibei. I think the anime will uncover some dark truths about him
I generally enjoy the Sakura Co. mid video ads, as a chef. Cherry Blossom syrup doughnut holes? That's amazing. Always good to see Jade too
I really don't get why people think Ichibei is that evil lol.

Tokinada, only purpose is to cause chaos.
Mfs always defend people like Aizen until they get betrayed as well 😂
I'll give Aizen credit for standing against stagnation and complacency.
@@kakashihatake1029perhaps Hinamori deserves more empathy 😅 People also fall to Aizen's charm.
Love the top 10s!
Ichibei isn't immoral. He amoral.
This one I can agree with
I would say all things considered that this list is basically perfect, but to give Yhwach some credit as a devil's advocate (ironically) if the TYBW anime is anything to go by he does sympathize with the death of the Quincies genuinely considering that he literally feels the trauma of every soul's memory of death returning to him.
50:41 fine if you won't just come right out and say it i will tokenada is just the joker
Mayuri was in SS for Over 110 years, and Unit 731 was around during WW2, which was around 87 years ago
@@zayneabdelmegid2740 I know the timeline doesn't exactly line up, but I have no doubt the unit had some influence on Mayuri's concept
@@grandadmiralzaarin4962 I think you’re right on that.
Realizing now, under this context, if Aizen hadn't played his part, some of Ichibe's evils wouldn't have occurred (ignoring that the gotei would be destroyed before then)
Much of the vandenreich didn't get to encounter Mayuri, and their king's overall goal didn't have to do with getting revenge
Take out the quincy.
The soul society are evil as a whole.
They’re all evil bastards
Giselle is literally a murdering necropheliac
Please reconsider 😂
RIP Toriyama sensei🙏🕊
It is only your fault if it stays that way."
Meanwhile the top 3 are unique in that they _actively made the world a worse place_ by their very own actions.
If I don’t see ywhach and Aizen in the top 3 imma flip
Yuha is a good guy
@@DuBstep115 Did you even watch the video?
Speaking of Szayel beig in hell, it's interesting that Ginjo and Tsukishima didn't go to hell for their abuses
@@kakashihatake1029 Is there precedent?
@zayneabdelmegid2740 well I'm pretty sure that a very clearly evil human who has no regrets and no reason to stay on earth will go to hell as soon as they die because they won't be forced to turn into a hollow
@@kakashihatake1029 Can you provide examples from the manga and supplementary materials?
Ah yes.... The five flavors of Aizen.
Aaroniero was sent to Hell to after Rukia killed him he should be on the list
Who’s the biggest asshole in Bleach? (Doesn’t necessarily mean evil)
Yammy
Tokinada with Aizen in 2nd. They ruin people’s lives but Tokinada does it for shits and giggles and gets away with it because of his status.
Tokinada or Yammy. Yammy is just a bully while Tokinada is a legit psycho
The fight between Tsukishima and Byakuya is one of my favorite fights in all anime/manga
Why........?
@@truthspreader1996 bc the end when you find out that Tsukishima’s power was working the whole time Byakuya did love him and killed him anyway bc he loved Itchigo more and knew he wouldn’t be able to kill Tsukashima
1st place is clearly Chair-sama. Binding Aizen just because he was told so, not questioning that order, torturing the former captain to sit for all eternity
I'll disagree with the assertion that Aizen is a sociopath. He rings more like a true psychopath to me.
Aizen and Yhwach are on equal footing for evil. They both have an equivalent disregard for life. They will sacrifice anyone or anything to advance their agenda. Completely devoid of emotional attachments.
Imo, manga only
1. Mayuri
2. Barragan
3. Yammy
4. Yhwach
5. Aizen
6. Ichibei
7. Grand Fisher
8. Szayelaporro
9. Nnoitra
10. The hollow of the parakeet arc
I think Urahara Kisuke is Low-key evil. There is something in his character that makes me chill most of the time...
He did make his half of the Hogyoku, which required a bunch of souls to sacrifice
Aizen used Kyoka Suigetsu to trick Tommo into not giving him the top spot on this listing 😏
Tokinada is probably the closest thing to the Joker Bleach is gonna get. He is literally that guy that just wants to see the world burn.
Damn right
You know you're evil when even the final and most powerful villain of the series is number (spoiler).
I feel like Yhwach was more evil than Aizen, he had some glimpses of good inside him such as sparing Tousen of his existence and saving the day at the end of the series
"Honor, gigi its not evil... She its just being silly! A goober, its was just for goofs ok? Just hear me out!"
Yo where's the guy who killed mother and the kid and was really happy about it. The one for whom the gates of hell were opened in the first 20-30 episodes if I'm correct.
The serial killer hollow ?
Yes he was evil I'd put him in top 10
Shrieker, right? I imagine he'd be on the list if Tokinada wasn't included
Yes shrieker with his creepy leeches.
Not sure if you've done this, but after this video I'd be interested in one focusing on the Many Crimes of Soskue Aizen
I swear Ulquiorra is most evil one because he died and make me sad…
While my hatred for some in this list has passed, most should not get out scout free and gain some sort of satisfaction near their deaths.
i like how Kubo made the Quincies seem super Op just like the nazis seemed back in the day until their leader started losing control
He is not a human so mortality doesn't apply to him
Aizen: "How long have you been on to me?"
Shinji: "Since the time you were in your Mother's womb, maybe even before that."
I'm pretty sure the analogue for Hitler trying to unmake all of existence is the most evil character in the series.
Toki has to be the purest of evil, as he was willing to use his life span to cause the utmost chaos.
Damn, as a Giselle simp, hate to see her on the list - but you make a solid point about her. She kinda was a villain during the second invasion.
