Hello Carlee Szarek, So happy to meet you. My congratulations on your successful flying by your 1967 airplane. You proved that you are a good pilot Carlee. I love supporting your videos
I loved this. Pilots need to take note of the order your flight following request at 1:38. It was the perfect order they want to hear it in. Call sign, departure, destination, type, and altitude. I bet you’re an awesome CFI. ❤
Very proud of you. Would love to do what you do but I passed my prime. Going to be 74 this August. Always enjoyed planes and what makes them do what they do. Your video I find the real deal. Thanks for posting.
Glad to see you back in the saddle. I love watching fellow aviators fly their own airplanes. I'm hoping to join that club soon. Fly well! Blue skies and tailwinds!
This video, more than any other that I can remember, captures the joy of simply flying. Your enthusiasm and delight just radiates. Your competence is obvious but you make it all seem so effortless. Very well done! Subscribed.
Love flying with you. I have retired from flying. Used to own a Cessna T210. I have an instrument and high performance rating. Next time you’re going to stop in Mesa Falcon Field let me know I will buy you lunch or dinner. Stay safe
I retired from SLO, lived there for about 25 years. My boys went to grammar and high school there. One graduated from Cal Poly, degreed in engineering, what else! Nice town but expensive! I learned how to fly while in the AF, fun stuff. Happy flying and thanks for the video..
Thanks for sharing. I owned a ‘67 Cessna that was just a few hundred off of your registration number! The interior looked exactly the same with almost the same instruments. It brought me so much joy to see what looked like my old plane up in the air. Have a ball!
I liked the brief shot of the front panel instruments would like to see more (will check your other vids). Last time I was in 67' it was a Chevelle (car) :)
This video came outta nowhere and it’s rad. Love the plane, love the flight, and love the terrain. Been wanting to get back into flying and finally get my license after making it to solo and lots of pattern work in the sketchy ADIZ land of the DC area. Now I live in the WV mountains and instruction isn’t quite so available. As such, if I find someone who would be willing to be my instructor, I’m considering purchasing a 172 and making a school of one. Love the character of your plane, especially the interior, and would be beyond pleased if I found something like it. ANYWAY, thanks for sharing your flight - it was inspiring and a delight.
Hi Carlee. Your video just popped up. Cool to see another aviatrix! Look forward to more. Just DON’T get caught up in too much video. No distractions in the cockpit!
@@carleeszarek You actually might've heard about Jenny, aka "TNFlygirl"; she was a tragedy that was all over the RUclips aviation community for a few months. Short version: Her Debonair was way too much plane for her, and she didn't take the time to learn about her plane's systems on the ground, especially the Century 2000 autopilot. Sadly, most of her channel's flying videos were taken down. However, searching on here for "Tnflygirl Dumpster fire" results in seeing one of her most talked about videos, where she gets lost, on a clear day, while still in sight of the airport she just took off from.
Carlee - just watched a few of your videos including your authentic opening up about your move. Get your plane over to the northeast! I moved a bunch of times throughout my life. The constant in my life that made those moves bearable (besides my wife) has been my airplane. When I got homesick, getting in my plane and flying around for a bit really helped. People who haven’t moved around a bit really don’t know the emptiness and the second guessing that goes on in your head. Hang in there!
@Carlee, great video! It's nice to see good ol' SoCal, especially when you took off from KMYF! I sure miss flying; a medical condition grounded me a while back, but I'm hopeful that I can get cleared in the future. Peace. 😊
SLO town!!! When stationed in aemy in paso robles in late 70s. Partied in slo. My hangout was morro bay partying with surfers and roller skaters. Was even a dj at local rink. Lived by Paso Robles airport and watched thunderbirds air show.from my roof back in 79. Yeah I'm old but those were rhe daya. I lost 2 army buddies and a family on a flight to slo over Questa grade 😢
after 7 months i'd take more time with the check list ..you seemed to just look at it and read it off fast without eyeballing the items ...also it's kinda hard to see if the controls are free and correct if you do not look away from the panel at the control surfaces to confirm
@takl23 ..for the sake of discussion...I see her manipulate the controls through the range of motion while speaking the words and looking at the panel...how is that edited ?
Hi This is Marc a canadien I do love your fligh but i have to admit ur sound is far from good..we hear more the tower then you. it is not pleasent to hear,,Oh one more thing please.hopes you will vote for the sane person in U>S>A>...Kamala and her partner..have a good day and a better evening..Marc...
Finally a female RUclips pilot that wears her headset like a normal person. It’s so awkward when they put their headset over their hair 🤣. That can’t be comfortable or noise free when they do that.
Thank you Carlee for sharing the love of aviation and I’m looking forward to seeing more of your adventures
I always enjoy watching videos of PROFESSIONAL PILOTS. You definitely fit that category. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Carlee enjoying your video for the very first time. looks like a nice older plane. thanks for taking us along. stay safe out there.
You go girl
Be safe up there
You can tell it's a 60's vintage airplane--ashtrays at every seat!

I'm very glad to see that you're using plain old steam driven gauges for navigation.

Nice video Carlee! I love those older Cessna 172's. Such a pleasure to fly!
For sure, great old planes, very stable and once you trim them out they almost fly themselves.
AWESOME VIDEO 👍✨
LOVE IT 🤗👌👍✨

Ah glad you enjoyed! My plane was definitely a score! Fingers crossed you find your perfect bird and an additional instructor along the way!
First time seeing any of your videos, love the joy you show even as a CFI...looking forward to more.
ahhh thanks! Just love aviation and love sharing some of it!
Not one of your flights is boring. Please keep them coming. Anybody ever tell you that you look like Cameron Diaz?
Enjoying the vibes :)

Glad you enjoyed! Totally - the camera is just there and whatever it captures is a bonus!
@@carleeszarek my friend Jenny, messed with her cameras too much. Forgot to fly her plane. Went down 4 months ago🥲

Hi there - appreciate the note ◡̈ That's the plan! Big adventure coming soon lol
That was a fun ride. Thank you.
I basically make that flight a lot in my Beech S35 (SBA > MYF). Such a pretty flight following the coast.
Hello, Cessna looks relaxing to fly
Great video! Well done!
Fun air plane. I have a 61’ thats a dream to fly

Love that plane
Phase of flight checklist is done first by flow/memory, then followed with checklist.
yep that's what you see here!
This is fun!!
Awesome video
thanks for sharing!
Have you been to Catalina Island yet, with that plane?
If you don't mind what's the cost of the airplane
Do a cross country vlog when you move the plane!
That's the plan!! I have a couple cross country flying videos on my channel but mostly in Bonanzas / Barons - so excited to do it in the 172!
very nice
It would be nice if you had a gopro on the wing
I agree!
Thank You Carlee 1967 152 or 172 ?
172

I'm from India I want to do PPL in US can you please make a guide video for PPL in US foreign students
8:55 For a moment I thought: how can you see a gender reveal party from that altitude
Video starts after her walk around inspection. Nah! 🤫🙄🥸
I was born in 67
Love the old plane and this flight. Slow down a bit on your delivery. You talk really fast. Old timers like me have a hard time getting it all.
Mom jeans, lol
Finally somebody that says MY PLANE and actually owns it, not daddy money influencer pilots

Can you guarantee she didn’t do it twice?
@takl23 now you're just being argumentative for arguements sake
