J Pollock I noticed people that spend thousands of dollars on audio equipment wanna play classical or acoustic guitar music, put some pink Floyd or judas priest music on.
McIntosh.... some of the most OVERPRICED gear on the market. Made well? Yes. Sounds pretty good? Yes. Great product support? Yes. Worth the money? Nope, not even close. I have owned a TON of different gear over the last 25 years and can honestly say that McIntosh represents some of the WORST "bang for the buck" out there. I have heard amplifiers that cost 1/2 or less the cost and sound as good and in many cases noticeably better. I can tell you that the MC275 (any version), is a slow, tubby sounding tube amplifier.
Silly comment. The only thing I will say is that newer MC275 sound less 'tubey' than older ones, due to upgrades and changing values of parts. Not many other tube amps can work with hard to drive speakers such as Sonus Faber
maybe, worst bang of the buck, but just like all those luxury product, they are over or PRICED in a way that make them MORE desirable. to name a few , LV rolex and Ferrari , are they really 10x better than their competitors?? is rolex 10x more accurate than Seiko, are Ferrari really 10x faster than your audi??? . Being a audiophile for almost 30 years, owning quite a few amps and speakers, i use to go by the phrase "trust your ear" . For this year birthday, i am searching for new gear again. Then i start to realized, "trusting how your heart influence your ear" and yes, i have an eye on a new McIntosh amp

What’s the connection scheme? One Mc275 per speaker? And what does the MC7300 doing there if you run the speakers with 275? Did you bi-amp speakers?
Probably powered amp runs LF on both speakers and tubes do mono HFs. Wouldn't do it differently.
