- I'm honestly so stunned this channel has even gotten this far... And yet there's still so much to do! I'm so grateful for all of you, thank you for everything. You truly have an incredible channel, I was a bit heart broken when I saw that the restoration project was over but please do not let that be any weight on you, as the reveal of the HQ OST Reconstruction has got me even more excited than I was to hear those original samples. All of your original work I've enjoyed is fantastic, really.
But please, if you read this, for your sake don't let these personal projects consume you too much, theyre supposed to be fun! The work you have done is already more than 99.99% of the community would be willing to do! Keep up the *great* work, we're all always happy to hear more.

I was bummed about the Mother 3 restoration project being cancelled until you showed us those insane covers! Still very true to the source material but with very quality flair! Really makes me pine for a HD remake of that game featuring your covers!

@@irikachana So is the restoration project completely cancelled, or just on hiatus while you focus on other projects. I like using Mother 3 music for alarms, ringtones, and such, and I think your restored covers are the definitive versions of those songs, especially when I want to keep the ringtones less gamery.
@@25percentdumb62 It's not in my interest anymore to work on them, but I'll still do them here and there if newer stuff is ever found. (there's still a TON of tracks that are fully doable too, but I feel more comfortable using whatever instruments I feel work best for a song. Like I still plan to use a lotta sources with these covers and stay in line with what gear Sakai was using around that time so the original tone isn't completely lost)

Honestly, if it weren't for half the restorations I did, and all the information I learned from doing it, I wouldn't be half the composer I currently am right now. Doing covers of music you enjoy is a fantastic way to get into the feel of "how is it all made?" Having some previous groundwork to mess with helped me learn new things I could do in my originals, and also helped me develop a better ear for arrangements, knowing what instruments to use, etc. etc. Music is such a beautiful thing, and if you're looking to get into it and you truly enjoy it? Stick with it, and you'll see yourself grow with time and effort. It's a road I've been walking since late 2018, and I don't have any plans on stopping anytime soon. Your kind words mean so much to me, really thank you so much!!! Also fun fact, "Portable Lifestyle" is actually a reimagined version of the song "Tazmilian Woods" a MOTHER 3 inspired track that I released on Spotify/YT Music a while back!! 👀
@@irikachana ohh i see! yeah, somehow i never stumbled upon your tazmilian woods song but i absolutely love what you did with it now that i gave the original a listen. i myself am a vocalist and have done a decent number of covers (most of my practice beyond warmups is singing music that i like among my actual obligations), but i would love to get into the production side of things, and hopefully my passion for singing extends to that, too! your original music is so good and i am really excited to see what's in store, have a good day!
The Attic's A Dungeon is one of my favorites, incredible bass and arps. I should probably make a life update video like this for my channel........ idk how I haven't seen this yet! Darn algorithm.
All the Lagomorpha stuff is SO FREAKIN GOOD!!! I'm more hype for that than the M3 stuff, more of that please!
Sometimes I lament not being able to be this creative, but I know it's just a lack of free time. If I could, I'd spend all day working on original songs like these too.
One last thing, over the last decade I've been in the EB fandom I've seen so many people start game projects and have a hard time finishing them because the dream is just so strong, the scope so big. Soundtrack releases on Bandcamp are very attainable, though, so always keep that as an option no matter what happens!

1) Any recommendations for purchasing digital instrument or sample bundles?
2) Would you ever do any DAW tutorials for the programs you use? Would be cool to see how you do things. I'm always curious about the production, especially how different artists level and mix tracks 🤔

1.) Honestly, before you start buying stuff I totally recommend looking into abandonware vsts/sample cds and libraries, there’s an absolute goldmine of sound lying around out there (namely internet archive in my case LOL) that can still be used just as much today as you could back in the day. In fact, I keep most modern sounds to a minimum in most of my work. But buying VSTs… Definitely check out the Roland, KORG, Spectrasonics, Steinberg, IK Multimedia, and Arturia plug-ins. Oh yeah, Native Instruments’ “KONTAKT” is also an extremely wonderful tool, it has been the powerhouse of most of my productions.
2.) Honestly, I’d love to do livestreams and show my process/talk about what I’m doing in the future!! Being able to answer questions and show&tell live would be really engaging and helpful I think.
