Wow, more R32s are being scrapped! I wish they'd stay in service and run on the Broadway line joining the R46s and R68s in favor of CBTC on the Queens Boulevard line.
Quite eerie to see that the flip-dots of the R32s are somehow working when everything else has been salvaged. Edit: just read about flip-dots, turns out their displays will remain in place without power. The look of an active display on an almost-completely salvaged car still gives me the chills.
ok I have a question I don't live in New York but was wondering instead of dragging the cars with those little diesels why not instead just run these cars as a deadhead move under their own power? Or has the MTA removed parts from the control systems?
Uff Finally, I see them Diesels traveling at decent speed and with heavy load too which makes it even more exciting. Dammm RIP to the R32s. What’s the top speed of the yellow diesels ? Can they easily push to 80 mph or no ? Or at least 60 mph maybe 🤔.
The top speed of a single diesel on straight level track is about 30 mph. Although by rule, they're not supposed to be operated above 25 mph on straight track and 15 mph around curves. But the speed is also dependent on the weight the diesel is pulling/ pushing. A passenger train has motors on each car, a work train usually has only one or two motorized diesels moving twice or triple the number of non motorized equipment. Here there are 3 diesels moving 8 dead cars. Salute to the work train operators and TSS!
Wowww Amazing. You know if been searching for answers on google and I haven’t been able to get the questions answered which I needed. Thank You Brother for taking your time and responding to me. As a train enthusiasts I must say, this has to be the quickest I’ve seen them travel on straight track and it’s eight cars they’re pushing and pulling so maximum Hp is increased. The more the load , the bigger the hp I think. Love these yellow diesels. So the maximum speed for them is 30mph but the MTA has them restricted traveling on certain speeds. It makes sense. Thank You Bro. Have an amazing Blessed Weekend 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻☝️
Hello, what does the white tubing that is attached to the diesels and into the R32s used for? Is it an air connection? Does it run from the first set of diesels to the last? Or is it connected to the R32s?
I truly appreciate it Bro. You work for the MTA ? If so that’s truly amazing Bro. It’s a learning experience always. Word me too. If anybody has questions I’ll gladly address them as well.
Can they swap roles of (J) and (Z) because the (Z) really deserves overnight service, but it’s the complete opposite of its own name, and people can’t go on it while some catch some Z’s *IT’S ONE OF THE ONLY TRAINS WHERE YOU **_CAN’T_** CATCH Z’s!!*
3350-3353 have been saved since 2010. I believe 3360-3361 have been saved since the final run in January. I really hope the MTA saves another pair or two so there can be a 10-car or 8-car train!
Geez they’re just dragging em to scrap one by one 🤣🤣
🤣.

or better yet, since they were are Concourse yard, a few could of atleast been used for (B) service during rush hours
@@redbird1train855 Yes, for sure. But I'll miss these cars.
These trains were were here during the moon landing and they’re just scrapping them just like that wish they would preserve a 10 car set⭐️🌙🤩💖
They must have been saving them in case they are needed as backups. I guess r179 has no more issues.
During the time they arrived at new they were a great accomplishment, now, it’s retired after years
Thank you R32 you did great :)
Sure miss those cars!
Glad they are keeping at least one set though for movies and TV. Plus the two they have in the Many Metals Train…
Even mores R32s for scrap? Man I'll miss all of em.
Is there any surviving R32 with the exception of the museum set or are they still use as refuse train with like the R42?
I believe either 3360 and 3361 are preserved or 3380 and 3381 are saved as far as I know, not sure which two cars are preserved though

Why can’t the MTA put it in the transit meuseum or Atleast keep it in the yard and maybe every New Years the train can run?
I know right
Thay are being preserved
All the R32’s will be missed but sometimes they been a good pleasure to run on all service
3396 - 3397 was the set ran during the final farewell.
3574+3575 were the train numbers featured on many R32 sets in OpenBve. Sad to finally see them go
Some of the best cars ever,,,,very reliable, ,Budd build,,,,will miss them new stuff doesn't have a soul,,,,lol
The 3 2s on the E..Btwn QBP & jam ctr.. Loved it..

The funny thing is that they look new...
IKR it's so weird! They are nearly 60 years old too. Stainless steel is the best. MTA doesn't need to deal with paint.
@@42luke93 The r160s look red no matter how they clean them
They look brand new still 💕
Dead R32 train cars headed to their final destination. Sad to see them go even though this was 1 year ago.
2 of these cars sat at coney, where 3786=3787 was
Gonna miss 'em!
The R32`s look in far better condition than the diesel loco`s and the engineers wagon. Should scrap them as well.
Question… so how come they need to be dragged by the yellow carts? Can’t they just use the soon to be scrapped cart as out of service?
The R32s look so shiny on camera.
Hope some of their parts will go towards pair 3352-53 to help restore them in the future.
I will miss these "Brightliners" !
Goodbye R32 I Feel sad watching this.
Breaks my heart to see the R32’s leaving the property.
Cool!
Love how nobody is talking abt the R32 F in the Thumbnail
I wish they would give some of them to transit museums out of state
Should they preserve more r32
3360-3361 has been added. Idk if there will be any more saved.
Did they save some for work train service?
Dame we will miss the R32’S
On the Q train in Brooklyn?
when and where will be the next set for scrap?
I honestly wish they would retire the R44s in Staten Island. I can't wait for the new one.
Any R32 photos in the scrapyard ?
Sounds like a heck of flat spot on a wheel.
When is the 3rd set of 8 cars
