      Even though I too love Naughty Dog and their attitudes and all their games, that is a bit of a lie from them though surely?
      Some of the climbing with the hook, cliff surfaces and rope swinging they pinched off the new Tomb Raider, right? Which is inferior to Uncharted in my opinion, but still...

    • @zeroqban
      @zeroqban 9 лет назад

      George Moss
      It's not like Tomb Raider was the first game to use a hook to climb over a cliff or used a bow with a rope to go to other places...

    • @George...
      @George... 9 лет назад +2

      Yeah but Uncharted 4's method of doing that looks like a very literal copy and paste from their game.
      I don't care too much though. I love Uncharted and I hated Tomb Raider. That climbing feature was one of it's only good points for me personally.

    • @zeroqban
      @zeroqban 9 лет назад +1

      George Moss
      I liked the tomb raider because it felt somewhat like uncharted 1 and 2 but I'll take Uncharted over the new Tomb Raider any day :D Most games copy from other games though. Just look at advanced warfare, destiny, halo 5, and even evolved borrowed from titan fall. I don't really like fps but you see my point.

    • @George...
      @George... 9 лет назад +1

      Yeah I do! :)
      I used to love all these games but as I got older (nearly 20 now) I find myself playing games for the story now anyway, rather than the repetitive XP grinds and skill tree's and mirroring other game mechanics etc.
      I think it's just got to a state where it's hard to be impressed now unless the story and acting is strong. But maybe I am just a nob xD

      dude EVERYTHING! Seriously it's a game and it's the best movie experience that I've ever watched/played, its a must have on ps3 or if you're getting a ps4 get it on a ps4, it is definitely a system seller. I've been beaten it 7 times on every difficulty and have gotten every single player trophy and I still want to play it, I'm a big fan of really good story and this game has a really really amazing story and game play Is fantastic. anyways buy it when you get a ps3/4

    • @megaprimegamer1184
      @megaprimegamer1184 9 лет назад

      obiDave28 Yeah sure Im waiting to get a ps4. And nice to know that it nails every aspect!
      Personally, the only game I've played multiple times are BatmanAA, Mafia 2 and MGS GZ. And Im not a big fan of collectibles, side missions, extras and whatnot but in that regard, recently MgsGZ really stood out for me where I have been trying out hard difficulty, taking different approaches, collecting xof patches, I mean I never knew I'd do all that! It really blew me away and since Im on pc thats the only mgs I have played and now I want the older ones too!
      I have always believed that Ps3 had the best exclusives and I really want to play them!

    • @obiDave28

      I have both x1 and ps4 and I had ps3 and xbox360 but I sold the xbox360 and still have the ps3 because its still relevant I only bought a x1 for halo and a ps4 for everything else... If you haven't played uncharted you need to it too is amazingness in a disc, it was my favorite until TLOU came out.

If you want to just check it out without getting too deep into it, go with Uncharted 2. If you're pretty sure you wanna go through all 3 games to prep for Uncharted 4, play through all 3 in order :)

      yeah it does sucks, but that seems early for such a great game unless its already in development. TLOU was started in early 2009 and released on ps3 in mid 2013. That's just over 4 years. I want more and more and hope it works like Uncharted but i don't think things will play out like this. Uncharted was set up in that made it easier to get better and better story wise. TLOU story was SO damn good i doubt it can be topped.

    Bruce & Neil are such amazingly talented guys, who also seem really humble. In my opinion, Naughty Dog are the best developers in the gaming industry. I'm so glad Bruce & Neil have taken over Uncharted 4. No disrespect to Amy Hennig, she's an amazingly talented writer, but after Uncharted 3's weak story, Ugh. I think going a different route with Bruce & Neil at the helm will make for a better game overall. The fact that everyone at Naughty Dog are allowed to give " Constructive criticism " on gameplay elements, level design, ect is the reason they've been so success & have delivered amazing games for so many years now.

    • @Shorty_Hutch
      @Shorty_Hutch 9 лет назад +4

      This company has definitely got the players in mind and is not all about cash like some companies. (EA lol) and they deliver games that they want to deliver. Not what is popular. And I'm glad to say I've never been let down by naughty dog once. There's other companies who are like this too but nobody will take naughty dogs crown :)

    • @playforfun8212
      @playforfun8212 9 лет назад +2

      Randy Marsh 100% agree with you. Loved how you put ( EA ) in there lol. So rare to find game companies like Naughty Dog, but yes, a few others exist. Thank God. The developers at Naughty Dog are real gamers at heart. They truly want other gamers to get lost & immersed in the storys, characters, & worlds that they create. Quantic Dream is another company who's not focused on what the industry considers cool/acceptable. They've done amazing work with Heavy Rain & Beyond two Souls ( In my opinion ) Really different approach to story telling & gameplay. The games they make aren't for everyone, but I'd rather work for or support a game studio that takes risks, which pay off, or really tries to raise the bar & give a better gaming experience everytime.

    • @Shorty_Hutch
      @Shorty_Hutch 9 лет назад +1

      Yeah I played beyond two souls and it was so different and out of the usual, that I found myself not putting the controller down. And not to mention the graphics!! But yeah it's a shame with EA. Releasing Fifa and other sports games annually with little to no improvements. And assassins creed is losing its reputation, dishing out the assassin title to just any character.
      And then naughty dog comes and packs a punch with every release :)

    • @playforfun8212
      @playforfun8212 9 лет назад

      Randy Marsh Haha. I'm so glad to hear Beyond two Souls make you feel that way. While I personally feel BTS was a step back from HR, in terms of inner activity, I believe the story telling & performances were a big improvement from HR. Which had great story & performances. Beyond two Souls's graphics in my opinion could pass for Next gen. Incredible looking game. Yes, Shame on EA. I don't like the AC series. I buy every year & then get let down. Right again you are lol. Naughty Dog delivers with every game they release =)

    I love that when they where questioned if Uncharted 2 was the blueprint for 4 that they replied with a 'no'. That is what puts these developers over the top when you compare them with the stream of copy/pastes by other developers over the past couple years. Naughty Dog are constantly trying to push the boundaries and want to make games that they actually want to themselves, Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley are real role models for anyone wanting to enter the video game industry.

    I like what he brought up with developing a game that he wants to develop, and not falling into what's popular in the industry. Open world games have become a lot more popular, but Uncharted is not an open world game, it's supposed to be "liner" to tell a story. This is the 4th entry in the franchise so it would make no sense to all of a sudden make an open world game with a lot of choices

As someone who puts Last of Us somewhere in my all-time top ten list, I'm so relieved to hear and feel these two devs' committment to making another mind-blowing adventure; and nothing I've seen so far has changed that perception. I've been playing games since Pong, Dungeons & Dragons, and they share a place with Nintendo in my heart. I just can't wait to dive into another adventure with them again.

    I truly enjoy to see the actual people working at Naughty Dog. The company is legendary, in a way. The more titles I know that are from this company, the more I realize that they are phenomenally amazing. And I also like that they are all so relaxed, cool, human, respectful and very down-to-earth. And the fact that they don't focus on nor even care about what other game-companies are doing, is an important thing, because they can therefor put that energy into what they are doing.
    All these factors and beyond, is what makes Naughty Dog one of the absolute best game-companies on the market.

    My top four games of all time go as such...
    4. Uncharted
    3. Uncharted 3
    2. Uncharted 2
    1. The Last of Us
    Oh! Surprise! Surprise! They are all made by Naughty Dog!
    Now other great games that are worth mentioning,
    L.A. Noire, Heavy Rain, The Walking Dead (by Telltale Games),
    And so many more that I don't have time to name!
    And before you say anything. No GTA 5 does not make my list of the best games ever. It is a great game and has alot to do both online and offline, however after I completed the main story and did some of the side objectives I quickly moved on to other games. The game just wasn't able to keep my interest much after the story and the online mode was disappointed. But before you get mad, GTA 5 is a great game, just not on my list of the best.
    Also I like games that are very story driven and that take you on an emotional rollercoaster and make you really care about the main characters.

    What they have to do for The Last of Us 2 is combine the utterly brilliant gameplay and smooth mechanics from Unchartered 4 with the emotional depth, atmosphere and beautiful storyline of TLOU. If they manage that TLOU2 will be way on the way to becoming one of the all time best games. TLOU has always been Naughty Dog's serious game, it is much darker than Unchartered and is trying to say much more. It's story arc is much deeper. The Unchartered series is designed at heart to be fun, in that respect the games are polar opposites, but both offer huge qualities.

  • @AlexLove631
    @AlexLove631 8 лет назад +55

    I don't want TLOU2 without Joel & Ellie. Would you really want Uncharted without Nate? The same way Nate & Sully make Uncharted, J&E make TLOU

    • @TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsCunt
      @TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsCunt 8 лет назад +11

      +Alex Mujica It's been one game and the legacy of TLOU is yet to be made. Joel and Ellie are not TLOU. The world it takes place in is TLOU.

    • @TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsCunt
      @TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsCunt 8 лет назад +12

      Alex Mujica Joel and Ellie's story has been told. To go back to them would be limiting themselves far too much. The lessons I learned and I feel like the developers were trying to teach were the tendencies of humanity. Put it in a different environment with different people and learn more about the world and the people that inhabit it.

    • @AlexLove631
      @AlexLove631 8 лет назад +5

      Cunt There's always more to tell. That's why they're writers.. The aftermath of Joel lying is a huge plot point. Neil's beyond talented. He probably already has like a story map for the sequel with J&E. It's not about the world. It's about Joel and Ellie and their bond

    • @TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsCunt
      @TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsCunt 8 лет назад +6

      Alex Mujica Whatever Neil writes will be good. But for him to stick to J & E is shutting out a massive opportunity. We know J & E's relationship. It ended with just the right amount of closure and just enough room for interpretation. Leave how they continued with their lives up to each individual player to make up in their own mind.
