You guys are the absolute cutest couples out there. My 3 year old son still isn't talking much but since he started pre-k that has been helping him out so much. He is still super delayed and his pediatrician did say that he will talk when he’s ready. He did have a lot of esr infections when he was younger and got ear tubes put in but they say that his hearing is fine. I also thought with him spending 2 months in the NICU due to being born 8 weeks early delayed him in his speech but they just keep telling us to encourage him and that he will get it when he is ready. I was very worried when he was a year old- 2 years old that his vocabulary wasn’t very long compared to all his lil friends but everyone told me that he’ll talk when he’s ready. I love that you guys are so honest about life and your kids are adorable.

As someone who has individually cared for over 400 children in my lifetime, I would interject that yes multiples have a higher chance of having a speech delay than a singleton. They say they catch up by about 3 or 4 years of age. More often than not, multiples are also premature so would also have to take into account adjusted age versus chronological age. If someone wants some extra peace of mind, yes they can also hire a speech therapist. As Believers, my approach would be to pray and ask God for both peace and help on the matter.☺️He will definitely help you.👍
