Good question. Because the Sheriff's Office serves Cupertino, Los Altos Hills, Saratoga, and unincorporated areas of Santa Clara County, it is more connected with Santa Clara County Communications. Some calls in San José can be routed to Santa Clara County Communications, but this doesn't happen often and so we did not include it in this video. @@Interstate107 Calls that originate from highways (e.g., 87) and freeways (e.g., 101) are forwarded to CHP. Everywhere else inside of San José, calls are forwarded to our Fire Communications Center.

Out here in Pa our dispatchers dispatch for fire/ems and police so its interesting to see you have different dispatchers for each emergency service

In my area i always get asked my address. Then they transfer me to the 'right' agency.
