Fun fact the John Romero head isn't just a secret that actually is the icon of sin, the way the boss is dealt damage is Splash damage from Rockets hit him so technically he is the icon
Came to post exactly this. This is the *ONLY* way to beat the final level.
You're just not supposed to know it is John's head you are shooting at.
Fun Fact: John Romero was initially unaware of him being the Icon of Sin. When he was play testing the game late one night, he no clipped and saw the Easter egg. He thought it was so funny that the same night, he recorded the speech, reversed it, and changed the pitch. Of course the next day, his colleagues immediately reversed the dialogue and found out that he knew about the Easter egg.
I don't believe Clockwerk is "alive and well". The Clockwerk we see are obviously the Clockwerk that were present during the Coopers original timelines. On account of him being immortal and all.
I was going to say. Kind of confused how this guy discussed Sly 4 having clearly played it, thus knowing about its time travel mechanic, but assumed Clockwerk just came back from the dead or something rather than, I don't know, these just being past versions of him?

For the red dead redemption 2 easter egg, if you go there as Arthur, you can see the painting being worked on, starting as a blank canvas the first time and progressing through various stages of completion each subsequent time you visit. On the last visit where the painting is finished, Arthur can have the same mirror encounter with the Strange Man.

maybe you're remembering wrong. Since Arthur never meets the Strange Man, there's no painting to see for him. Only John can see the finished painting

The Clockwerk easter egg is present because his mechanical body was what allowed him to stay alive throughout all of the past eras that we travel through in Sly 4. Those are just him as he was in that moment in the past which makes it a very clever easter egg, especially since we know what his ultimate fate will be.
Great video! Although I was confused about the way you talked about Clockwerk being alive in Sly 4 because the Easter egg is very obviously about how Clockwerk was always there during the time of his ancestors, which is what you see in Sly 4 when you go back to the time of these ancestors. Clockwerk is NOT alive and well, you just go back in time to when he was.

Clockwork definitely ain't alive and well he is very dead cause clockworks parts are a important thing in sly 2 and many of the parts end up destroyed by the end
The clockwork we see in thieves in time is him from the past during the era's of Sly's ancestors
In fact it's likely that soon after sly and the gang leave his ancestors time periods clockwork likely took them out
I, too, adore the first three Saint's Row games.
And while I did not enjoy the 4th near as much as anybof those three. I will Saint's Row The Fourth, has some of the best DLC I have played. I genuinely love the Christmas DLC
