I love these. I just finished my first skate today. Knocked out 8 miles and my feet feel fine! I have rollerblade zetrablade fitness skates and it's a huge difference. I feel so close to the ground on the Zoom 80s compared to the zetras! They're quiet and just smooth all around. Thanks for this review, you helped me pick out the right size (9-10) and they fit perfectly! This is also the first vid I've ever seen with no dislikes! Gangsta! ❤💛💚
I've had zetrablades since last year managed to put in 15miles on my longest trail last year, I changed to 85A wheels and its a world of difference but I just bought the zoom 80 waiting on the mail anxiously haha
I do not know if it is the trinity mount that does the magic, but I was equally impressed by how stable I felt on my 3x110 (PS Next) setup. Doing jumps, stairs, etc. I would say it felt almost like riding 60mm wheels
Oh really!? Because I'm changing my rollers and feeling a bit afraid to get a zoom with 3 wheels, and I'm thinking of getting a red one with four wheels, so now I'm gonna to re-think
Vanessa Morais trinity mount does not distinguish how many wheels there will be, it is just different way of attaching the frame (the part that holds the wheels) to the boot. There are 3 and 4 wheel trinity frames :) If you have a local skateshop, try going there and trying the different options. Comfortable fit will be more important than the ammount of wheels I think :)
@@Ascendancy- I have slim feet so I can't speak for everyone. I will say I have the Next boot now also and after the 10-15 mile mark my Next boots bother me more than these Zoom on the inner ankle and inner sole.
I was looking at their site and I'm wondering if you could tell me what the manueverablity and stability difference and just skate experience would be between this skate, and the 3X100 version? I'd assume the tri-skate with that wheel size would be a little shorter than the 4X80? But larger wheels tend to be more stable downhill. Does the short base just cancel that out? I can't find how long the 3X100's are. I'm not well versed in all the specs and what they mean. I'm trying though.
If I went with a 41/42 (26.1-26.9 cm) in Aeons should I go with the same on the zooms if I'm right around 26cm for my feet? Considering saving up for the Lomax Pro 110s but I've heard these run a bit wide
@@BacktoBlading sorry I just saw this! The aeons are actually fairly snug but they're brand new so that's probably to be expected. My toes are right at the edge of the liner also if that's helpful
This is a crazy fix so do it on your own risk. But on my brother's old skate I would take the boot out, flip it inside ouy and with a wood burner thin out the sides a bit to release pressure. Or you can try to by thinner boots
Great vid. These cost almost the same as what an 80mm UFS frame setup would cost (they're cheap!). Do you think they offer a better/more stable feel than slapping something like the GC 80mm aluminum frames on a aggressive boot?
im picking up some blades again, after a 17 years break. Lol. I was REALLY Good though. Im fairly certain I can still skate, At Very Least, Better than the average person... THAT being said... Anyone recommend a certain pair of skates for me? I have HORRIBLE roads. I need a SMOOTH ride, but I also want hard boot so I can at least do some half-ass tricks/half-ass grinds or stalls..... Im thinking of getting this. But if theres a better one for my needs someone please let me know. THANKS! Cool video btw!
Hey, I'm in the same boat as you! after much research and getting my first pair (them 909s on sale), realized that doing tricks and getting a smooth ride really requires two diff pairs. The them 909s have superb build quality and I got em in the flat setup to ride around, but the wheels being so small and hard does make it much bumpier if the road isn't super smooth. I just got the zoom 80s, will arrive this week so will be using them for longer rides when i'm in urban exercise mode. Hope this helps!
Both the slight leaning forward and the "short" 243 wheelbase are pretty much the standard on freeskates 😅 Looks like you'd prefer something more speed oriented... (luckily there are many options, obviously more on 165 mounting, but for trinity the catalogue is growing too). But freeskate is all about agility, in fact it's common that smaller sizes than yours have even smaller wheelbases like 231 or even 219. I'm a 38 EU and mine wear 76mm wheels with a 231mm wheelbase; on some freestyle models my size would have come with 72mm wheels on 219 frames.
I think it's pretty weird that freeskate frames usually don't go above 243mm. Yeah, freeskates might be about agility, but when I take my 243 4x80s to the skatepark, or skate street and do gaps or just go fast and jump around, they feel a bit unstable. Not just unstable as in too squirly, but i'd like a longer platform when I land after jumping a stairset for example. I don't want anything like speed skates. I'm around a 43-44 as well, and I prefer 260-270mm frames on aggressive skates (flat). With a size 38 (lucky) foot you definitely don't need anything long. But when I see 243 frames on stuff like size 45-46 boots... They look absolutely ridiculous. With bigger feet you also have a bit more "leverage". So even if a certain frame size might not feel maneuverable enough for you, it might feel completely different to someone that has a foot size that's like 5-6 sizes bigger than yours.
Boni Hollóssy I agree! I have a 47 size boot and the 243 frame is def a bit ridiculous. And as a beginner the instability makes everything so much harder to learn. (I bought them before I knew better 🤦♂️)
Next is better, zoom is cheaper.. The Next is lower to the ground and better boot.. I just ordered the Zoom, but that is because i just get started in skating again (25 years ago i did skate xD) I want to upgrade to a Next boot in future and then i can use the frame from the Zoom (Trinity) both are two sized, but with different steps..
thanks for the video but i totally disagree with you i just bought them like one week ago and i cannot be more unhappy with them i have been roller blading since i was 10 now im 36, i had lot of skates during my early years 6 pairs at least , because i use to do crazy staff , not anymore i just skate to have fun a and reduce my belly, the last skates was a bravoblade and last me 22 year finally the boot broke up so i had to buy a new one here is my review confortable = 1 very hard and inconfortable breathable = 2 almost does not have any hole for the heat of your feey goes out, at the end your socks are like a swimpool bearing: 2 they say abec 5 but does not feel more like abec 1 wheel : 10 when you need to stop , they do the job inmeditly shockabsortion: 9 if you do half meter jump you kidney does not suffer how they look: 5 kind of ugly totally subjective tighting system : 6 kind of slow to put them on
I like this review style. No fancy graphics, just short and to the point.

Planning on it!

Love your stopping technique
Just bought some Compass 80's to replace the stock wheels when they go.
Ah, good upgrade. The stock wheels seem pretty great though
I wish I could do fakie crossovers like you. Would those shorter 243mm work great for small feet like mine?
Yeah, for sure! 243 is a great length for most people. Especially smaller feet. I think I just prefer longer wheel bases with my experience
You're 10.5 US men size feet, What size are the skates in this video?
Just ordered these can't wait to put in a couple hundred miles by the end of the summer, wish me luck lol
@ bro i mustve put atleast 100+miles on them already, i love them. Im a size 10 they only had 9-9.5 but they fit just right even with wool socks.
So would you recommend ordering a half size down then?
@@Ascendancy- I have slim feet so I can't speak for everyone. I will say I have the Next boot now also and after the 10-15 mile mark my Next boots bother me more than these Zoom on the inner ankle and inner sole.
Very tempting skates. Until you read (on Reddit) all the posts about the faulty buckles and clasps...

Hello!! Very nice review!! Are they suitable for women? Thanks!
I also wear a size 10.5 shoe, what size do you recommend in this skate? Thanks for the video!
I got the 44. But make sure to measure your feet in centimeters first. 28.5 is usually a 44.
Anyone know how they compare to the NEXT and Rb twister?
Im a size 9! Do you think the (9-10 size) would be good ?
Sure! But measure your feet in cm first to get a more precise number.
Get the size EU 41-42
This man is awesome!

I think you’ll be good. Are you’re aeons pretty roomy? The Sway will be a bit wider
@@BacktoBlading sorry I just saw this! The aeons are actually fairly snug but they're brand new so that's probably to be expected. My toes are right at the edge of the liner also if that's helpful
Can’t wait for mine to come in 💃🏻😊
nice review! It helped a lot, but does anyone has experience of the fit for wider foots. I have a problem there all the time haha.

Totally! And lighter than most aggressive skates
@@BacktoBlading Great to know. Thanks! I'm debating throwing some GC 80mms on my Seba Carbons or just grabbing a pair of these...hmmm....
Yeah I bought some 80mm ground control aluminium frames for my razors SL2 and they were unusable. Not enough ankle support
Do these come with abec 5 in some markets? Some websites list them with abec 5 and some list them with abec 7. I am confused. Thanks!
I think mine had abec7, but I don’t know all markets. I would be surprised if they were different.
How's the fit of it? Should I go size up?

I will now be buying them 😂
which camera do you use please?
That’s the insta360 or iPhone XS
Would they support 240lbs person?
can you change this model to have three wheels or do you have to buy the powerslide zoom 100?
Yes, its a Trinity mount frame so any trinity frame will work. I have a few three wheel frames for this boot now.

For sure! Though big feet need a longer base. 260 would be better, the new Zoom 44 come with 4x90, which is perfect.

do they come with brakes?
They do not
can you grind with those?
Yes, if you get the Sway soul plates
Is it suitable for wide feet?
Yes, the Zoom are great for that
I have heard these run wide as far as fit. Would you agree?
I felt like they were the right width for me, not narrow for sure.
