Is this your game? Why didn't you tell him what side you were? Why does the notation just end? Was there time trouble, if so what time control was the game? He's being harsh because you provided no details to help him help you
Yeah - but in Chess the biggest risk is you might fall asleep at the board and, when you slump over, having a bishop poke out your eye, or, if you're playing online, your head might slam the keyboard with the precise sequence of keystrokes that remotely self-destructs the US nuclear stockpile. In tennis, one of these guys is going to smash themselves in the face with a racket.
that was my game, and I laughed so much after i played that the more funny thing was engine analysis like it gave some 80s Accuracy me and my friend were laughing then we forgot on whom we were laughing me or engine?
Here's the one piece of advice I have for both players - go into your settings and turn on the "show legal moves" option. It'll dramatically reduce your time-per-move if you can click on a piece and see dots on all the squares that piece is legally permitted to go to. I'd normally assume that black flagged but, given the moves, it wouldn't surprise me if either one of them resigned in the final position or it was drawn by agreement.
All the moves during the games were not either good or bad, which is very inhuman considering the nature of the position, it does indeed feel like someone let the engine play both sides of this game at some point.
Very accurate game analysis, "it was someone who told their engine to make random legal moves for both sides." I can't even fathom what they were thinking. We need the actual players to talk us through the game though I suspect they'll just say "I don't know, I just wanted to move there," as their justification.
I literally don't know how this game is possible - if the moves were good everyone would be screaming: engine-cheater - but this is the statistical inverse... it boggles the mind that these two players could both find the wrong moves in EVERY position. I'm pretty sure that every move played in every position caused the eval bar to flip.
I literally was wondering if they somehow configured an engine to provide the 6th best move that is bad enough to flip the eval bar in favor of the opponent - because that seems to be what is occurring on every move.
Thanks, I quit chess for about a week. After watching you video I think I made the right decision. This two player is much better than me, and I realize I had no hope in chess. thank you for save me a lot of time in the future.
That's the only thing that makes sense to me. Dozens of nonsensical moves then the game ends. Gotta be two people just trying not to blunder while their time ticks down
You know how Ben says "I've never been so mad"? I think he's serious this time. Hey Grandmaster Ben Finegold, can you analyze the strategic and tactical implications of this game where neither side ever made a move that made sense? Give me the theory on moving the queen back and forth and the knight back and forth. Is this good chess? The kindest thing he can say about this game is that all the moves were legal.
I feel like if you were to actually explain why every move was bad, this video would be 7 hours long. I think Ben might have had to repeat everything he's ever said about chess to properly annotate every move of this game, and he doesn't get paid enough for that. There aren't enough hours in the day.
"I feel like if you were to actually explain why every move was bad, this video would be 7 hours long. " He could have at least explained some of them. Not sure what the point of this video was. Just a random game with Ben saying "terrible"... why did he post this?
I have enjoyed your videos a lot. But people should be encouraged to play chess regardless of ability. Back before we had online play, it was hard for someone who likes chess to find someone to play if you were a newbie or weak player. As people who goto chess clubs are often good or better than just good. But now you can play online with people of your skill level and try to improve. If nothing else, chess is a nice mental exercise. I find it to be a de-stressor, because I have to focus on it 100%, which means not thinking about crap in my life. So please, if you like chess, play chess, do puzzles, watch videos. Don't quit just because you are a weak player, I am certainly weak and keep playing. Don't listen to elitests who think you can only play if you are above x rating, and they decide what x is for you.
@@rastaarmando7058 I have been here a lot. And seen his other videos like from St. Louis. But not seen this sort of game review before. So if it was some sort of humor, I missed it. I admit, at times the moves did seem somewhat random.
@@otakurocklee he rarely makes more than like 1 informative comment. Are people really paying $250 for his analysis? I'd expect at least an hour of his time for that.
You lead a sheltered life. I have watched two weak people play chess multiple times, and they both keep blundering but both are too weak to leverage the blunders. But we should encourage people to play this great game regardless of skill level. No one is going to die from weak chess, and they might improve, or most importantly ENJOY it. I try to find hobbies I enjoy.
Every move was the worst, except the next one.
🤣
I've never been this mad before, and I'm ALWAYS this mad.
This is like when your parents are so mad at you, they don't even yell. They just quietly say, "I'm really disappointed in you".
This game doesn't need an analysis, it needs Jesus.
wow thats pretty funny
I have no dog in this fight and even I'm mad after that game. Terrible.
the funny part is that I agreed with all the moves, white and black. this is how I do it. I feel represented.
the thumbnail 4 a second made me think that the viewer was gonna reveal that this was a game played by Ben when he was young
Don't be so hard with me. I'll continue trying to improve!

@@akin0m Yes! Except for one thing.
Also he's mostly making jokes, he doesn't want you to quit chess lol
But why did you submit this game?
Please take his advice he quit. Terrible!
That Hans comment is wild considering what's just happened lol
and that game was sore to watch
Tennis is actually pretty fun. Not the worst thing to try if chess isn't your game.
Ok Marc Esserman

@Joseph55220 be a man its tennis lmfao
I watched this monstrosity. I demand a refund!
The genuine disgust was fun to watch, it wasn't all for nothing.
Should’ve analyzed blindfolded
Actual 5 minutes with Ben
Whoever gamed this game needs to quit submitting chess
I no longer feel bad about my chess playing
4:50 lmaooo
Wow, so many "waiting moves". This is what people play when they don't see any way forward.
".... and then it just.... ends."

The thumbnail alone deserves view, like and subscribe.
That is one awesome thumbnail. Also, I probably play worse than these guys
im not letting that diss on hans slide
This looked like me playing chess 35 years ago, when my dad was teaching me how to play. Good times, such nostalgia.
hi i was black here. thanks for reviewing my game.
at 1:58, h3... lawlz. way to accidentally prevent the knight from jumping to the one-square you desperately want the knight to jump to.
I thought that I had lost all hope in humanity but now I have even less. So maybe I had a little.
“This looks like a game Hans would play if he wasn’t using an engine to help him” savage😂
Still theory
The chess speaks for itself

Appreciate everything you do Ben and will always love watching your lessons especially tactics related lessons

I'm not Akira Crush with telekinesis anyway...
I think this mess was a Fraud - submitted just to get Ben to react hopefully in an entertaining way. Nobody plays checkers this bad much less chess. 😂
The thumbnail is insane
I am immensely confused with this game, lol!
What were the Elos? Cuz it’s understandable if they are low rated but otherwise…
Maybe these guys were using Stockfish's brother, Worstfish to help them master the game of Chess! 😂😂😂

You don't need to be super good to have fun. If you enjoy playing why quit?
I didn't understand the game at all. It was either very bad or very good.
What was the time control? Maybe this was an attempt at flagging eachother with barely legal moves?
That's the only thing that makes sense to me. Dozens of nonsensical moves then the game ends.
Gotta be two people just trying not to blunder while their time ticks down
Shouldn't it have been declared a draw after the third Qh+ Nh7 ?
No, a draw can be claimed if the position repeats 3 times. It didn't, the queen checks happened in quite different positions.
The thumbnail for this vid seems to show a young Ben Finegold. Saw you in some Ohio tournaments back in the day. 😁
can i send you a poker hand to review?
