  • Discover the transformative journey from traditional clay sculpture to cutting-edge digital art in the heart of Carrara, Italy! Join me as I unveil a groundbreaking collaboration between two artists, blending centuries-old techniques with modern innovation.
Meet Lorenzo, a gifted sculptor, and witness our shared fascination as we merge our respective art forms. Together, we embark on a quest to reimagine the creation process, fusing traditional craftsmanship with digital wizardry.
From the raw material of clay, we sculpt intricate forms that capture the essence of life itself. Through meticulous craftsmanship, Lorenzo breathes soul into each creation, while I lend my digital expertise to bring our vision to life.
Step into Lorenzo's workshop, where artistry fills the air and every stroke tells a story. Watch as he molds clay with skilled hands, infusing each piece with passion and dedication. Together, we scan our clay sculptures into the digital realm, where my digitalization work begins.
Using advanced software like ZBrush, and the powerful Mesh Morpher plugin, we refine our creations, pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Witness the birth of our Metahuman-a fusion of traditional artistry and digital precision. Each detail meticulously crafted, each expression imbued with life.
But our journey doesn't end there. Thanks to groundbreaking AI technology, we breathe new life into our creation, replicating the iconic voice of Sir Sean Connery. Experience the magic as our Metahuman comes to life, bridging the gap between past and future, tradition and innovation.
Join us on this extraordinary adventure-a celebration of art, collaboration, and the boundless possibilities of creativity.

Fantactic work ! Love it. Just to push the realism, you could add fuzz, very short barber, hair in the nose and ears. Keep pushing! 😎

Visuals are good, though it does sound like Sean trying to do his 'russian' accent from Red October, more than his normal accent. 😊

Crazy workflow. Is that an Zed sensor? What software are you using to capture 3D scan?

Very impressive! Are the facial movements all custom blendshapes or did you get a rig done too?

I can respect the traditional way of sculpting with clay, but with the advancements in digital sculpting technology, I don’t see how sculpting in clay would or could be advantageous in this case! But amazing job nonetheless!

Normally having a base mesh makes sculpting easier. Pixar does the same thing with it's characters.

It's a pointless step in terms of the final product, but it's vital for creating human connections, for getting our hands in the soil, water, and disconnecting from a digital world where everything remains confined to a screen, even worse today with AI assistance where everything is done with a prompt.
I don't know if you've read the article, but that's the concept behind this work :)
I met Lorenzo thanks to this project, and a beautiful friendship was born, and we have other projects in the works!
      Thank you for your message.
