I really connected with how honest and vulnerable the lyrics are. This has to be some of my favorite lyrics James has wrote. I think the song is about living with your past, trying to let go of the past and limiting beliefs we have of ourselves. Because to move on and grow we have learn to let go. All the shame and fears are holding us back from being fully present and enjoying life.
Also its about showing your authentic self to the world. And contemplating the level of fear and judgement that comes with that. Its not easy to fully express yourself but hopefully with the right people, it will be. And you wont need to hide your real feelings or thoughts.
There's lots to unpack but that's my interpretation of the lyrics. If you guys have anything to add or wanna share your thoughts, feel free to leave a comment below. I'll read them and reply.
I hope you enjoyed my last cover of 2023! I tried many new effects and editing in this one. This is my most experimental and psychedelic video yet.
