  • Give Me An Answer: In this episode Stuart and Cliffe Knechtle talk to college students about how going into a Godless eternity is the worst thing that can happen to us.

Join us in person for a Sunday service at 9:30amET at Grace Community Church located New Canaan High School, 11 Farm Rd. New Canaan CT, 06840
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

Jesus The Christ of Nazareth was definitely the most influential and historical non military figure to have lived.
Cliffe Knechtle's been doing Christian Apologetics for decades now and it's awesome seeing his son Stuart following his father's footsteps 😊.This has nothing and everything to do with the video but please listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a fellow
Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college graduate. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't.
I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict.
Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers.
Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years
ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of macro Evolutionary biology whereas I accept micro Evolution like speciation and adaptation but not macro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word.
Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. I don't mean this is any condescending manner but if you'd like to discuss The Scriptures with me or have me listen to your view on anything my instagram account is Savage Christian Kombatant

I feel scared my children will not go to heaven because they think my way of life is a joke. They are not believers. I'm proud to say I approach things the exact way cliff described. Do the best job no matter what it is you do and give all glory to God. Bottom line is life isn't about money. It's about the experience. Experiences with others and the focal point is what God wants you to do. They of course think thier fathers way of approaching life is better. 1:14 A persons environment is apart of it, and that can pertain to many areas of a person, Christian or non-Christian. A person could also be demonically influenced or demonized, the one thing apologist don’t particularly talk about. Demons attach themselves to people, they tempt-influence peoples everyday decisions, and they can posses people. Not just with big or “small” sins but a way of thinking leading to death. Freedom from demons is only through Jesus Christ.

Stuart, we need to qualify the fact that Jesus was “at a party”, we must be specific and tell the group Jesus was at a Wedding, or they will think its OK to go to any type or kind of party, which is not a wedding. However, the Bible says stay away from the appearance of evil, not to place yourself in a position that will cause you to sin, in addition, bad company corrupts good character, and it takes wisdom when to attend any party or when not to go, as we are led by GOD. And yes, we are holier than they, because we are saved and redeemed and have eternal life as they do not at that time so the LORD does consider us HOLIER than they as saints without us condemning them because we were once sinners also at one time, yes, but we are not to Lord it over them, and walk in pride and arrogance, but to know when by the wisdom of Christ to attend a party of any sort, with the right reason and motive, not just to go to one just to go to one. There MUST always be a purpose. There is more to this but i digress. Yes, love them, however, we must still be careful.

Cliff. Good points on his question of innocent children . I know the old scriptures shows how to understand how God works. Israel had to go into other nations to destroy them because of their wickedness and serving other Gods. So as a result, the children of those wicked parents had to also receive death. This was God showing us that we as children pay for the sins of the parents as far as seeing and reaping. That does not imply that they go to hellfire as it speaks, but that the children will suffer because of their parents walk of distance from God. Remember, the Apostles asked Jesus if the blind man he was healing was blind because of the mother or fathers sins. This was their mindset, and they knew and understood this. But blindness was the one thing that was for God's glory, because only he can make someone see the truth. Without him, we are all blind, regardless of what we believe. Just as sin entered through Adam, we now suffer because of it. Doesn't I play hell, just death and suffering among other things. Sin brings in generational curses, even deformities of a new born through the mother's womb because of her sin. Is the child wicked? No. Are they doomed to hell? No. But they are affected by the sins of that mother. Same way God commanded Israel to kill all the children and infants when they overtook another land, this was showing that you can die because of your distance from God. But never says those infants were sent to hell, just that death is something we pay for from the sins carried down from parents.

    He Said -
    • If the scientific community were to declare free will an illusion, it would precipitate a culture war far more belligerent than the one that has been waged on the subject of evolution. Without free will, sinners and criminals would be nothing more than poorly calibrated clockwork, and any conception of justice that emphasized punishing them (rather than deterring, rehabilitating, or merely containing them) would appear utterly incongruous.
    What does he say.?

AMEN 🙏❤.

I personally find that people don't want to accept the God of the Bible because they don't want to identify as such. It would mean that they must lead a life in accordance to God's word and His teachings which is tbh really difficult to implement in daily life. The identification you make as being a Christian initiates your separation from the ways of the wicked world and once you do that, the world will hate you for it. So it all comes down to whether you're willing to sacrifice the world's approval for God's approval. You can't serve two masters at once.

For they are without excuse. For the ones who don’t believe it, or don’t want to hear it Your bible reads the same as mine… Truth is truth. even though someone may have not heard they know because it is written upon their hearts. Only if the consequences are different does choice exist, which means the greater the difference, the greater the choice. And there is no greater difference than between Heaven and Hell, which means it is the greatest choice.

You do have choice over many things, but not these. You did not choose to come into existence so you can't choose to live or not live forever.
If there is no God, it will not be your choice to not live forever, that will happen whether you desire it or not. If God and Heaven and Hell are real, you will continue to exist in one place or the other, whether you want to or not.
So it doesn't revolve around your likes.
I am not flippant about addicts. I have some in my family. My brother is one and he was raised in the same house and treated the same as me and my other brother. But he decided he liked being intoxicated and we didn't. Having been in and out of prison and with health failing so badly that he now looks like he could be our father, he still chooses to drink. It's not much fun to watch. Yet it's still not too late.
On the other hand, we had an AA chapter at my church back in LA and I met and talked to many, many a recovering addict. To a man, they all said that nothing will ever change -- except to get worse -- until YOU decide YOU are sick and tired of pulling arrows out of your butt. PERIOD. That means making a decision. A choice.
That's not to say that childhood trauma can't greatly influence you toward taking that first hit, drink, snort or puff, or to keep going with it, nor is it to say that such things are to be taken lightly. Far from it. But it also doesn't mean you can't recognize that you are in deep doo-doo and you desperately need help and make the choice to reach out.

It's like you didn't read what I wrote. People choose Hell on earth all the time and I gave just a few examples. As I said before, if people choose Hell on earth, how much more is it so in the next life undiluted by God's common grace?
If you really think God and Christians are these awful, stupid immoral beings, you can opt out and permanently separate yourself from them. No-one will be in Hell who didn't choose it because they preferred it over Heaven. Hey guys, I have a question that I find difficult to maintain. My problem is that I wish to acknowledge the fact that Jesus died for my sins, but what I’m having trouble with is that if Jesus died for me why can’t I continue sinning? (And in Galatians 5:19-22 it states some sins that say that if you do them then you won’t inherit the kingdom of God) So in conclusion: if I commit the sins that are stated in Galatians 5:19-22 and yet I trust in Jesus will I be accepted into the kingdom of God?

    • @bonnie43uk
      @bonnie43uk 2 месяца назад

good question, this whole question of sin is ridiculous, I think most Christians tend to think about sex as being one of their most popularly committed sin. Truth is, we are sexual creatures, we all are attracted to sexual thoughts, I'm guessing that's the thing you're worried about?, or do you continually steal and get drunk?

    • @relaxAndBeCool
      @relaxAndBeCool 2 месяца назад

Does God want us to stop sinning? Of course. But he knows we are not perfect. Only Jesus was able to live the perfect sinless life. But, God wants us to keep trying. He really likes it when we keep making an honest effort. When we screw up, we need to be sorry and try harder next time…. That is the commitment God wants from us.
Do we WANT to be more Christlike and stay away from sin? Yes we do, IF we really understand that Jesus loves us so much that he suffered terribly and died on the cross to save us (personally) from the punishment of our own disgusting sins. We are NOT WORTHY of such a sacrifice. We owe him, big time. We should WANT to please him by being a good representative.
When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, we undergo a change of heart by the Holy Spirit; we are no longer “dead”, we are no longer “lost”…. We are “born again”. It becomes EASIER for us to sin LESS, not only because it is the right thing to do, but also because we WANT to be pleasing to God.
That’s how u can tell if someone really has been changed by the Holy Spirit and has been “born again”; they WANT to act more Christlike, so they do. That’s why this verse from James totally makes sense:
James 2:17 “So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
If someone calls himself a “Christian”, but then totally acts like a nonChristian (lying, cheating, stealing, holding grudges, starting fights, etc.) he sure doesn’t look like he has been “born again”, does it?

Cliffe asserted that the Canaanite children murdered during the conquest were not judged by God. Prior to that he made the claim that God values the lives of children. How is that demonstrated by commanding their murder for alleged crimes committed by their parents. Furthermore, is there historical evidence outside of the Biblical record that lends support to the claim that the Canaanites were depraved and sinful enough to warrant virtual extinction as a result of attempted genocide?
Cliffe also speculated that the children murdered during the conquest were granted eternal life in heaven. What Biblical support is there for that belief? A Bible-believing Christian must wrestle with numerous passages that imply the opposite is true because of the Bible’s claims about the natural state of mankind, e.g. Romans 5:18-19, and the conditions necessary for one to be rewarded with eternal life, e.g. John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
Cliffe cited 2 Samuel 12:23 as evidence that children go to heaven. However, the passage containing that verse is hardly meant to be read as prescriptive. That passage is silent concerning the truth of David’s statement. It simply presents it as something he said. Also, notice in that passage that God is responsible for the death of David and Bathsheba’s son. 2 Samuel 12:15 explicitly states that God killed the child.
The portrayal of god we’re left with drawn from information extracted from the Bible is of a powerful being abusing his power against those powerless to resist him. A god with blood on his hands responsible for babies suffering eternally in Hell because he killed them and deprived them of their only opportunities for redemption.

I disagree, while there's no verse that I know of that specifically states what happens to young kids.
I personally extrapolate from these two verses.
      Luke 12:47-48a NLT
[47] “And a servant who knows what the master wants, but isn’t prepared and doesn’t carry out those instructions, will be severely punished. [48] But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly.
      ---
To me that says based on your knowledge, is tied on your severity.
We do the same with our kids.
5 year old? Slap on the wrist
      15 years old? Grounded.
      30 year old? Jail.
I believe God works the same way. Angels can't be redeemed, because they had way more knowledge than us when they rebelled.
      ----
      Revelation 20:12-13 NLT
[12] I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. [13] The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. *And all were judged according to their deeds.*
      ====
These verses say that they will be judged on what they have done, not on if they believed in Jesus.
I know this isn't some straightforward satisfying answer for you. But I at least wanted to show God will be fair and just to everyone.

@Videokirbyo What can be extrapolated from that parable in Luke is that punishment awaits all who do not behave in a prescribed manner. The parable teaches that there are varying degrees of punishment determined by the level of knowledge of the recipient.
You next cited Revelation 20:11-12. That passage describes the passing of judgment against the dead according to their deeds. However, if you read that chapter through to the end verse 15 states that “anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:15, NRSV) This now raises a question. What is required for one’s name to be recorded in the book of life?
What you’ve done is applied a hermeneutic that requires the Bible to be viewed as a unified text. You’re connecting part of a parable in Luke with part of an apocalyptic vision in Revelation. So, let’s follow that hermeneutical approach to its conclusion.
There are numerous passages (John 3:18, Romans 10:9-10, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, 1 John 5:12) that state belief in Jesus and confession of that belief are necessary for salvation.
So, I ask, how are babies and young children saved if they do not possess the cognitive faculties required to formulate a belief and articulate that belief? At best, based on the limited data available in the Bible, assuming that the books collected within it are unified in their teaching, we can assume that babies and young children will be judged alongside anyone else who never confessed belief in Jesus and that their punishments in Hell will be less severe but eternal, nonetheless. This is your idea of fair?
I do not believe that the Bible is an inspired, unified collection of texts. I do not believe in Hell. I believe that this life is the only life. For this reason I believe we should respect and value life because we are fragile and life is limited. For this same reason I believe that apologetics that excuse the murder of babies and young children, as well as innocent adults, are dangerous because they devalue life and diminish the suffering of those who lose loved ones.

      > So, I ask, how are babies and young children saved if they do not possess the cognitive faculties required to formulate a belief and articulate that belief?
To be honest, I don't know God's plan for babies and young children. Could it be He just throws them into hell and call it day? Maybe, I don't know. But do not forget that God is also supernatural God and doesn't tell us everything(Probably because we'd exploit it, and use it for evil.). There are several ways God could save them. Maybe moments before their death, He gives them enough wisdom and revelation to choose or not. Baseless and Overly Convenient? Yes. Impossible? No.
But, let's stick back to what we can read in the bible.
In Luke 16:19-31 is the parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus. Both die, and go where?
Well one is Hades, and the other one Abraham's bosom/Abraham's side(?). Okay, so then where is Abraham? It doesn't really say Heaven. But some nearby place visible to the Rich man.
To me, this read that both (Rich and Lazarus) are in the same region (Hades), but one is tortured and the other is comforted in different locations. But somehow they're both close enough to talk and be seen.
Now, read closely to what Abraham says.
Super Paraphrased. "Rich man had good things in his life, Lazarus had mostly misfortune in his life." Well, that's odd isn't it? Nothing on what Lazarus believed in...
      In Revelation 20:13-14(NLT/NKJV)
It says that the grave(Hades/Hell) gives up their dead, and the dead are judged. Then Hades is thrown away into the lake of fire after its emptied out...
I could be wrong in my theory in this as it's a parable, but Jesus never mentions in the story that Lazarus was a believer, right? Could it be that Hell(Hades) is more of a holding cell, and there's a tormentous side and a comforting side until the Day of Judgement?
Now, let's talk about the verses you brought up about salvation.
Yes, belief in Jesus is required for salvation. The Bible is super clear on that. But let's re-read one of the verses you referenced, John 3:18(NLT)
Jesus says how there's NO judgement for those who believe in Him, and those who don't, will be judged. To me it sounds like Believers are saved from Judgement Day and their names are automatically written in the Book of Life/Recorded in Heaven. Luke 10:20(NLT)
In other words, Believers are saved from (skip) God's "Due process" system.
Here's my theory from all of this. Babies and young children go to hell(Hades) but are NOT tortured in there, but are comforted. Why? Because they had mostly misfortune in their very short life.(Luke 16:25) They, however, are not spared(saved) from the Final Judgement (Due Process) and are judge on their actions(Rev 20:13). God rules a fair judgement for them.
      > I believe that this life is the only life. For this reason I believe we should respect and value life because we are fragile and life is limited.
Even with life after death, we should still respect and value life. It doesn't make it less valuable, to me it makes this life even MORE valuable with Jesus.
If there's no life after death, why should I bother to strive to live? The death rate is 100%, no one escapes death, so my actions are meaningless, and then after that... that's it.
While I can understand your point of view. I disagree Life after death devalues the current life here.

@Videokirbyo You’ve illustrated my point that the Bible is not inspired by taking disparate verses and attempting to reconcile them through little more than speculation. If we can’t agree on the inspiration, or lack thereof, of the Bible, a productive dialogue is impossible.
I’ll ask one question. This is a “yes” or “no” question. I’m sure that won’t stop you from philosophizing. However, that is your prerogative.
Are the murders of innocent men, women, children, and animals found throughout the Hebrew Bible, carried out by individuals responding to direct commands issued by God, to be viewed as morally just?

Even saying "the abuse of an innocent child is objectively wrong" is in of itself a subjective opinion. I would say infant circumcision could easily be deemed as child abuse, but most orthodox Jews would deem it perfectly ok. So who gets to say whats acceptable and not acceptable?, we all have to individually (subjectively) determine that ourselves and hopefully make a judgement based on whether an act is deemed beneficial or detrimental to that person, some things are easy to work out, and some not so easy.

lets personalize and identify ourselves as the Lord as we often do. Then lets apply the logic, "why trust the word of the Lord when he says he is good". As humans how often do we desire to convince people of our morals and self worth. We can say to someone, I am a good person. Yet you expect they will believe you 100%. Yet 99.99% of the time they will always seek to find a way to prove your words wrong. The Lord, the creator of everything has the ultimate word and we do to him the same we do to other humans day to day. Now. Expect the fact that you want to be taken on your word alone. So does The Lord, yet we are evil by nature and his word is the first word. Trust in him, or if you really neglect him, everyone on Earth must be able to trust the good word of everyone 100% of the time. Yet it doesn't happen because everyone is evil and the Lord isn't. We want what The Lord wants from us.

Here is the gospel of salvation:
We live in a sinful, broken world that is filled with immorality, lust, greed, envy, selfishness, jealousy, and hatred. People willfully lie, cheat & hurt others.
All that separates us from the holiness of God.
God saw how much evil there was in the world and knew that no human being was pure enough to live with him and the angels in Heaven (our sin keep us out). He knew that even “good” people sin every day and each one of those sins deserves a just punishment. And those sins keep adding up our whole life.
Because he is a just God, a price had to be paid for our wickedness…. The price for our sin is death & eternal separation from God.
But God loves us and wants us to live with him, so he came up with a plan. As part of this plan, Jesus (God the Son) volunteered not only to humble himself and become a lowly man, but also to leave his Godly powers behind (temporarily) while he was a man. He was the only person who was able to live a perfect, sinless life.
But after that he allowed himself to be arrested, slapped, beaten, spat on, whipped and then nailed to a cross where he was mocked as he endured a slow torturous death. Why? So that HE would be the one to pay the price for OUR sins. He became our scapegoat, our whipping boy, by suffering terribly on the cross so that we don’t have to endure the punishment we rightly deserve. He essentially bought our “get out of jail free” card. Because of what he did, ALL of our sins (past, present, future) were forgiven.
3 days after his death, he was resurrected in a glorified body, not only proving he was the son of God, but also showing that we too would be resurrected (on judgement day) and could have everlasting life with him. All we need to do is TRUST in him and commit to following him.
Jesus stands next to us, holding out this card saying “I love u. I died for u. Please accept my free gift I paid for. Just trust in me and follow me,” It’s entirely up to us whether to accept his free gift of salvation or not.
If u robbed someone u would go on trial and stand before the judge, and that would be fair because u deserve to be punished for what u did.
When we die, we stand before God, the righteous judge. He basically asks if we have the “get out of jail free” card that Jesus paid for with his blood, or does he need to go over every sin we ever did and add up all the penalties?
Some people who don’t have the card will say “Wait. I did a lot of good things. I helped people, I volunteered, I donated money to the poor.” God will say “That’s great. Good job there. But, those things DON’T erase any of your sins. U still need to pay the price.”
For those of us that have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior and have committed to following him, God will say “Thanks for putting your trust in Jesus. Your sins have already been paid for in full. Welcome to Heaven!”
This is what is talked about in the Bible as when God separates “the wheat from the chaff”.
This is not an intellect issue; it is a heart issue. He wants u to open your heart to him and commit to him.
What God wants is for us to have a close personal relationship with him. He wants us to talk to him every day.
He wants us to be HUMBLE… to realize that we are UNWORTHY.
To be THANKFUL for the sacrifice of Jesus; to realize that without Jesus, we are toast.
To realize how much he loves us; how important we are to him.
To feel sorry for our sins.
To make a commitment to try to be more Christlike and to stay away from sin. To accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
We are NOT saved by what WE DO; we are saved by what JESUS DID.
That’s it. It’s so simple. Does God want us to stop sinning? Of course. But he knows we are not perfect. He wants us to keep trying anyway. He really likes it when we continue to make an honest effort. That’s the commitment he wants from us.
If u say “That’s all BS. I don’t need Jesus”. U are basically saying that Jesus was stupid to have sacrificed himself for u….
That u don’t care about what the judge has to say… and u totally REJECT someone paying your fine… u don’t want it or need it.
That’s pretty disrespectful and ungrateful, wouldn’t u say?
What would u expect the judge to do?
He’ll say “OK. It was your choice, and u decided to REJECT the previous payment. That means u will need to pay the price yourself.”

Dear Jp, making an attempt for that question. Ultimately, I need to repeat Cliffe's 4 words "I do not know".
However, it is important that Exodus 34:7 does not say that God PUNSIHES the descendants of the guilty person, rather than warning humanity that our acts have consequences for our children. If I decide to be unfaithful to my wife, who will be who suffer most of it? Probably my children... If I decide to live my life as a pathetic egoist, who will suffer from it? My family. The principle of "sowing and reaping" is our experience. And sadly we humans are the cause for the unrighteousness our decendants need to face.
Btw. if you read the previous verse, God speaks about his will to forgive and being merciful...
The second point, how can it be just that God commands to kill them? (Bare in mind that without God there is ultimately no such thing like god or evil)
The question is a matter of perspective. The bible has always the perspective of eternity. Life on earth is only a little fraction compared to eternity in heaven/hell. As Cliffe said, those children may have lost their life here on earth but not the eternal life being with God in heaven ( see also Matthew 18:9-11).
Bare in mind that these children lived in a time where the canaanites sacrificed their children to their idols.
If God claims to be just, then we need to assume that these children will be compensated in the after-life, as macabre this may sound. But to our unbelieving eyes, this is only going to make sense if there is life after death and if there is heaven and hell.
      Else anything is relative...
      God bless you

13:25 - Age of accountability. Not a Biblical doctrine. There is nothing that suggests this is a thing. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that because you're young, you're not accountable. That's human reasoning only, and in this case... faulty reasoning.
What the Bible does say is God is merciful and directly teaches that he will have mercy on whom he will have mercy. He may have mercy on little children. He may have mercy on people born with mental problems. He may have mercy on those with low IQs. He may have mercy on those who suffer from dementia. God's mercy is rich, so let's get away from non-biblical human "logic" (oh, their mind isn't good enough, so they CAN'T be accountable... what silliness!) and stick with what the Bible teaches.
But think about this: how silly is it to say that faith in God is a matter of cognitive ability to "dissect the Christian faith?" Faith in Christ is so simple that a young child can "get it" and yet the most educated theologians with IQs of 180 can still debate it and discover new things and understand old things in new ways.
Who among us can perfectly dissect the Christian faith? None, not even one. Every neonatal physician and pregnant mom knows a baby in the womb can respond to its parent's voice. Why then, would we be surprised that a baby can respond to God's voice? It might not be in a way that we can understand, but so what? Cognitive ability doesn't determine anything about God's mercy or ability to work faith in the hearts of those among his elect.

It's more than ok to go to typical parties...it's what the Christian's motive is. There may be some tough temptations, but there may not be. Enjoy and appreciate the experience together.
