  • This video is about making a Shoe Storage Unit for under the stairs.
It is all made from Mdf and spray painted in a super tough and durable 1K paint from Amicus Uk (www.amicusuk.co/).
It is roughly 1m x 1m traingle, and 800mm deep.
Its designed as one giant drawer to maximise storage and minimise wasted space.
The drawer is carried by a pair of collosall 800mm side mounted drawer runners from GTV which are designed to take up to a MASSIVE 100KG...

Loved the precision and attention to detail. Top notch. That's very very handy storage space for a house to have. I might have put a third runner towards the top of the back to make it extra super OTT sturdy

    • @thelondoncraftsmanworkshop

It is a very handy space, especially in a smallish st albans house where space is at a premium ☺️
There would be no harm to ad another runner, but these runners are beasts!!
In the specs, they take 100kg ! That's me and my son together standing in them 🤣🤣

Great Job guys. This is the first time that I have seen this done with the outer carcase made as a separate unit. Mostly I have seen it done with the outer carcase built into the stairs. This is on my ever increasing job/project list and I may shamedly steal this idea of building it the same way as you did it. Great job!

It’s nice to be in contact again, I’ve been away from woodworking for a while but I’m trying to fit my shed out and I made my first purchase in 2 years through your link and I finally have the parallel guides and got them for £67 🤷‍♂️ don’t know how!? I watched your video to assemble them, then I’ll use them once my shed is done 👍 thanks mate, you’re a legend !

@@jochippyy Yes, he should be drilling both, but should also be clearancing the first panel with a larger hole, or using a suitable screw with an unthreaded shank portion. I actually replied to his request for clarification, but I guess I made him look bad and he deleted the comment.
