    Hi everyone!
    Welcome to another fitting Video.
    This one is real- life and real-time fitting a small 2.6m wide Tv Media unit.
    We fitted this one without any massive hitches but the time did get away from us!!
    I've not had a fitting job that hasn't gone to te schedule for a long time (more than 5 years ago in fact)
    I talk through lots of details and my design features as I am fitting.
    I hope you find it educational and I hope you enjoy!

    Hey you 2 awesome job once again. Can I just ask is it ok to cut off the plugs if they are sealed and reattach

    • @thelondoncraftsmanworkshop
      @thelondoncraftsmanworkshop  2 месяца назад

      Ahhh thanks Dean!
      Well I'm not 100% sure on why they are sealed, but to me, it's a standard 13amp plug and cutting off and putting a new one on is just like for like (may be wrong but I'm sure it's OK ) 👍

      @deancarter4109 2 месяца назад +1

      @@thelondoncraftsmanworkshop yea this does come up a lot on installs must admit. Would make it loads easier if it’s possible to cut off and reattach. Love the packers to stop the top piece flapping back that’s a nice touch. Absolutely love your work

      @deancarter4109 yeah it's a wierd one... no idea why they would be sealed! But shame it can't be reused. It's not a big problem really though, unless you get a weird customer lol.
      Ahh nice one, yeah that and make drawer cheeks I came up with to make things simpler and faster (less work the better lol)

    Is that painted MDF you're using for the carcasses? I've built a few wardrobes using MFC boards and I'm looking for an alternative.

    • @thelondoncraftsmanworkshop
      @thelondoncraftsmanworkshop  2 месяца назад +2

      Hi!
      Yes it is painted mdf.
      We paint all our mdf in the sprayroom with an airless sprayer.
      I have a few vids on this.
      Although mfc is very durable and quick to make a carcass with, it hasn't got that hand made feel or look.
      I feel a sprayed or hand painted mdf wardrobe definitely has that hand built feel to it 😊👍

    Again, stunning build guys and some great tips for a build. I saw on an older vid that you had a Domino (which I will be using to line up panels before screwing), is there a reason you prefer the biscuit jointer over the domino?

    • @mrki412
      @mrki412 2 месяца назад +1

      Buiscuit has some move to left right, with dominost you need to be precise in 100th of mm.

    • @thelondoncraftsmanworkshop
      @thelondoncraftsmanworkshop  2 месяца назад +1

      Thank you so much!
      Like @mrki412 said, the domino gives you absolute precision. The domino fits so snuggly and will give you that much more accuracy compared to biscuits.
      Saying that biscuit are still berg accurate in my view and perfectly acceptable 👍👍👍
