Hi everyone!
Welcome to another fitting Video.
This one is real- life and real-time fitting a small 2.6m wide Tv Media unit.
We fitted this one without any massive hitches but the time did get away from us!!
I've not had a fitting job that hasn't gone to te schedule for a long time (more than 5 years ago in fact)
I talk through lots of details and my design features as I am fitting.
I hope you find it educational and I hope you enjoy!

As I said before thank you so much for building this Ryan & Sean.
You’re both extremely talented craftsmen.
Cheers Helen, was a pleasure!! 🙏
Great video !!!!! thank you
Hi Michael!
Thanks very much!
I hope you're well 😊👍
I love watching your work. I’m making some diy fitted wardrobes soon and I keep picking up great tips from your channel. Oh and my Banggood parallel guides are arriving next week!
Ahhh thank you !
And that's great you are taking something away from the vids.
You will love them! One of my best buys!
Great work as always Ryan and Shaun 👌🏻
Ahhh thank you Stephen 👍👍👍
I don’t know what I’m watching. Who puts milk in first 😳. No no no. 😂😂
Hahaha I didn't always do it, it's a time saving thing when on site, get the milk in whilst it's boiling 😅😅😅
I can assure he can make a decent cuppa !!!!!!! He must have just been over come with stress building my unit!!!
Love those kind of videos, really helpful, I just need to think what to do in my home.
That's great!
What about making one of these? 😉
@@thelondoncraftsmanworkshop I'm scared LOL, but I did wardeobe and simple TV stand, made few mistakes, but i learned a lot.
@mrki412 It's good that you are trying... we are all beginners to start with and learn by making mistakes I suppose.
Maybe start with a more simple design?
@@thelondoncraftsmanworkshop yea righ, I overcomplicated it, but I need to make it more simple. It is not my peofession, I do it for relaxation.
@mrki412 Haha well next time makenit more simple 😊👍
Amazing build! Out of interest, what would this size and complexity of build cost in general? Trying to understand how much I might be saving by building it myself
Thanks as ever, such a good channel
Thank you much appreciated!
Im reallt happy you like the channel!
This one would be be around the 4k mark :-)
Cheers Ryan
love it. as always. Can i ask what 8mm shelf pins you use? Cheers
Hi thank you :-)
They are actually 5mm I believe.
I have put the link for thr type I use in the video description for you :-)
Cheers Ryan
your worker (sean--shawn---?) got a haircut----looks great.. you need to let him verbalize a little more during the vids great project vid thanx rick
Hello Rick!
Thank you!!
Yeah Sean doesn't say that much, and he's not overly keen on talking on camera 😞
I'll try and get him talking more if I can 😅
Hey you 2 awesome job once again. Can I just ask is it ok to cut off the plugs if they are sealed and reattach
Ahhh thanks Dean!
Well I'm not 100% sure on why they are sealed, but to me, it's a standard 13amp plug and cutting off and putting a new one on is just like for like (may be wrong but I'm sure it's OK ) 👍
@@thelondoncraftsmanworkshop yea this does come up a lot on installs must admit. Would make it loads easier if it’s possible to cut off and reattach. Love the packers to stop the top piece flapping back that’s a nice touch. Absolutely love your work
@deancarter4109 yeah it's a wierd one... no idea why they would be sealed! But shame it can't be reused. It's not a big problem really though, unless you get a weird customer lol.
Ahh nice one, yeah that and make drawer cheeks I came up with to make things simpler and faster (less work the better lol)
Ahh cheers man... 🍻 I'm hoping I'm (the channel conent) is going in the right direction. 👍👍👍
Sorry to keep going on do you have a link to those push catches too please
Hi Dean,
Thats not a problem!
I just put the link in the description for you 🙂
Is that painted MDF you're using for the carcasses? I've built a few wardrobes using MFC boards and I'm looking for an alternative.
Hi!
Yes it is painted mdf.
We paint all our mdf in the sprayroom with an airless sprayer.
I have a few vids on this.
Although mfc is very durable and quick to make a carcass with, it hasn't got that hand made feel or look.
I feel a sprayed or hand painted mdf wardrobe definitely has that hand built feel to it 😊👍
Again, stunning build guys and some great tips for a build. I saw on an older vid that you had a Domino (which I will be using to line up panels before screwing), is there a reason you prefer the biscuit jointer over the domino?
Buiscuit has some move to left right, with dominost you need to be precise in 100th of mm.
Thank you so much!
Like @mrki412 said, the domino gives you absolute precision. The domino fits so snuggly and will give you that much more accuracy compared to biscuits.
Saying that biscuit are still berg accurate in my view and perfectly acceptable 👍👍👍
@@mrki412 not quite, one loose tenon on the tight setting and the remainder on a looser setting will account for any small misalignment.
@@thelondoncraftsmanworkshop understood mate 👍
@barryspiers6956 yep in width of the tenon, not the height of it
Is there a reason the account has changed names?
Hi, yeah I was changing a few bits and I shouldn't have changed the account name, I didn't think it would be seen🙄
Ive changed it back now 😊👍
@@thelondoncraftsmanworkshop it wasn’t a criticism mate it was just merely an observation. Your work is stunning mate that’s why we are here
@denty32 Hey, no I know 😊👍
I'm really grateful you pulled it up to be honest so thank you for that👍
Thanks for the nice comments too, it means alot and I am equally grateful for the support on the channel!
Cheers Ryan
