My opinion Graphics: Street Fighter V Moves: Street Fighter IV Update: Now that I think about it from the replies and the games themselves, I think Street Fighter IV is better at both in my opinion.
I generally agree but there is a bit of give and take. SFV does have some great moves but they are thinner on the ground. I think it does slightly better overall on the poses and character showing within those moves, though. But it does have more moves that are like "wtf that was it?" and I think that's its main let-down. As well as only normally having one finisher per character, while SFIV had two each. Dunno why they went backwards on that. I get that choosing between them's a bit clunky - so why not then just have every character have two to choose from all the time?
(REVISED) The Graphics and Animation are more photo-realistic in V. The Designs and Illustrations are more genuine anime stylistic in IV. The Game control is more procedural thus the Gameplay feels more unconventional and systematically artificial in V. The Game control is more manual thus the Gameplay feels more original and organic in IV.
It's always disturbed me how in SFV, the Raging Demon triggers a "K.O.!" voice line on victory. Takes away from the whole idea that the Raging Demon literally murders the opponent

The main difference I think between the two is that Supers in ST5 are meant to be used EXCLUSIVELY as a comeback mechanic, something that you use to seal the deal at the end of a match, and as such they tend to only look and FEEL good when you finish with them. Supers in ST4 do not have this problem because their usage is a lot more flexible, just more utility in general, so players are more likely to use them in the middle of a match instead of saving it until the end. As such they are instead choreographed to look awesome as long as you land it. I prefer ST4, in case you were wondering. :)
@poopy_kyle well I think it depends If your ultra meter is only half, it could deal less dmg then the super but if it's full then it could deal an absurd amount of dmg
Street fi%hter 4s ultra only exist as comeback mechanics. You can only get them from getting beat while sf5 you get it from beating the opponent as a reward
I kinda have a problem with sf5's rapidly moving camera and changing fov, it's just too quick and makes things less enjoyable. sf5's animations are good, but i'd prefer sf4's animations. Sound design is also better in sf4, compare kage's super with ryu's u2, ryu's u2 is just crispy, especially the last hit actually makes a proper sound as if flesh and bone broke.
@Truth in Entertainment the thing is though he has to get both meters full before doing so in which after each round they reset so you only get the opportunity around the end of the round and even then it’s hard to hit and can be easily read with how flashy it is at the beginning
I will say, the effects are much better In 5. But the cinematics are more intense in 4, making the actual impact and energy look more powerful instead of constantly knocking the opponent over like a ragdoll.
SF IV has more impact in it's animation and is more visceral...somehow they lost most of that in SFV. Ed says it best after seeing the differences in Yuri's animation between IV and V... 9:06

I absolutely loved 4 but the game play in 5 just didn't flow like street fighter 2, 4 or the alpha series in my personal opinion. That's what people hated about 4 and liked about 5 actually. Animations don't take fucking forever with the crazy cinematic effects. To casual spectators who don't see it hundreds of times a day though when they play the game, I can understand 4's appeal with their cinematic ultras.

Guile: 3:07 MY NERF GUN
The only super I can say I liked more in 5 is Akuma's raging demon.
Over all street fighter 5 is prettier than street fighter 4 but that's about it.
I like ibuki super more in sfv
Agreed. There are some other decent ones. Like Ibuki, Ken, and Cammy, but Akuma's is definitely the only one that's undeniably better.
@@auzziegamerfan a bit nit picky that he doesnt have hes silent no ko screen which felt more menacing but I like what they did with hes demon
and SFV has a much better roster
@@skurinski both games have a good roster but street fighter V will never have a character like Oni or Seth
In sf4 they have light reflect on their body when they use hadoken or fire but sfv don't have
Sᴛʀᴇᴇᴛ Fɪɢʜᴛᴇʀ IV👌👍
I’m guessing you didn’t have the classic outfits for vega and Dhalsim at the time.?
Bruh 8:33 "profound sadness" Rip to guys junk
1:00 epic
I can't believe it... he did it lol. Cracks me up each time
FYI: Ultra IV has MORE ultra combos/Super moves, it's just that 5 has less and the uploader only compared what they could. Juri's other Ultra combo is BRUTAL.
I f**king love Street Fighter!
.. L
Still can’t get over how trash they made Juri’s
I used to play Juri in SF IV
She got more move and that spinning Kick.
I dont see any player use that in SF V lol
Still can't get over how trash your opinion is.
I agree Kai
I love both
Cool
the attacks all did more damage in 4. i dont think thats a problem
SFIV revived the entire FG genre. That's how good and popular it is.
SFV .... allowed better games to sell.
what is FG genre ؟ and what games does SFV allowed to sell ؟
@@rahimrahim6330 Fighting Game Genre
Ultra Street Fighter IV is the best in the series since EX2 Plus. And it brought Elena back!
For a second there I almost thought the raging demon did 100% for once, only to see that the footage was closely put together.
no *Fei Long* ???
6:17 the best female character in my humble opinion :)
I like her too hehe
Cammy’s pretty cool, but I think that in USF4, Decapre is cooler, but they aren’t in SFV.
@@thecatastrophe132 Umm, the main story?
bruh i mean as a playable character
Why not use SFIV Ken's non-animated Shinryuken? Fun video. For some reason I always felt the pipe was more of a Haggar thing and completely forgot he had it in SFIV already.
Gotta admit, M. Bisons Ultra Psycho Crusher looks dope in SFV.
