I start my first help desk IT job ever tomorrow , this video made me feel good . Thanks man
Anything I can do to help! Good luck!!
Are you still working as a help desk tech?
How's your experience
I just started my first IT help desk job. You are so on point when you were talking about being nervous. This is exactly how I feel. Thank you for this message.
Thanks man, starting my first IT job in an hour, this really helps!
How’d it go and where are u currently?
Really needed this, graduated from tech school at 34 and now starting my first I.T. working for the State of Texas on Thursday. I'm extremely excited but also nervous after being in retail/management for 15 years.
This is a great advice, Bro. And it does not apply just to IT Jobs, or to Jobs at all, when you face a new and unknown experience you always get nervous because you are uncertain about the results of such experience. And when you realice you are making a mistake, you tend to get out of your comfort zone and you end boycotting yourself. When you arrive to a new environment you need to set a new attitud of accepting all the new information, accepting the way people do things there, even when they do not seem to be right, you MUST LEAVE the over comfidence, this is what causes all the mistakes, and what causes people to hate you or have a wrong first impression of you. And then once you are adapted to the new environment, then you can try to adapt it to yourself, but only when you know how and when to do things in your own way. Well, at least that's what I have learned so far, maybe I'm wrong. xD
I think confidence is great for a new job, as long as you aren't cocky
This is such a good channel. I'm pumped that you're keeping up with uploading content. Thanks so much. I'd love to see a live Q&A while you're not overwhelmed with viewers.
Thank you for this! It is exactly what I needed. I was pretty scared of getting my first job, because I was afraid that I'd need to know all about it beforehand.
I start a new admin assistant job on Monday. I've watched several videos similar to this, but this one was the most helpful. Thank you.
You are very welcome. May I ask you what was the most helpful about this video?
I'm glad I could help! Good luck on your new job!
Thank you so much, I had my first interview today for an I.T job (desktop engineer). Not sure if I got it yet, but this channel is extremely helpful!
-Thank you again!
Did you get the job? 😀
I can't wait to get my first it job!
Today is my first day and I’m about to head out , this helped me
I start in 2 weeks, first it job, I consider myself patient but still, I'm super anxious about it 😅
UshioSorrows its a great learning experience and once you get the hang of the ticketing system it’s a breeze
@@202WinkProductions awesome!, did they explained to you? Or did they expected you to know of it already?
UshioSorrows they explained everything and showed me how to actually put in a ticket , document tickets . Iv been shadowing the guy above me and he’s showing me things. Honestly the hardest part is finding your way thorough the building
@@202WinkProductions How is it going at work now? ARe you still there? have you moved on? Were you starting as Tier 1?
Such a great channel man it's a shame more people don't watch.
Maki thank you I certainly appreciate that. quality over quantity though! As long as I'm helping the ones who do watch that's all I care about.

I landed my 1st IT job recently with no IT experience.. I'm so nervous, it's remote and I don't want to mess anything up.
How did it go? I start my first IT job as well with no experience in around 2 weeks and I'm super nervous too 😅
1st day at labcorp as BA monday, nerves!!!
Yes, every BA job is NEVER the same.....lol
Each company is different....IT can be great or a nervewracking deal
does this mean they will train you for weeks even if its a mid level IT job, like by shadowing someone
Im watching this bc I just got accepted at PwC as an intern I’m nervous lol !
I start my first IT job tomorrow as an IT technician... we'll see how it goes :)
Ali Alfaraj hey! How was it?
@@mahammad Bro you will not beleive what happened to me! On the fourth week, the company laid me off for a very, very, stupid reason. Literally because the company owner was "bothered by my actions" for taking too many pictures of the National Day Party at the company, when it was my maneger and HR that both said they want pictures to be taken!
The actual job was a joke for the most part! CEO calls and says his internet is not working, I come and I just see that the ethernet cable is not plugged. Or someone tells me their screen is not working, I come and I press on the power button for the screen then it works! And they tell me usually they just have to move the mouse then it works. Total joke! Other tasks I did was gathering all the company's IT assets data (Serial numbers, Brand, OS, Windows activation status). I worked a bit an Active Directory and c-panel.
3 weeks after leaving the company I worked at Hilton as a receptionist for about 2 months, and their package was a bit better!
On Janaury this year, I recieved an offer from an international IT company that provides IT Services for the Oil & Gas sector in the Middle East, and they are paying me DOUBLE what the first company paid me.
Starting on Tuesday, im scared.
I was all good until he emphasized DONT. MAKE. THE SAME. MISTAKE. TWICE. But its no big deal... youre gonna make mistakes. But DO NOT. make the same mistake twice. Or you will be sacrificed to our lord and savior.
what if I'll make the same mistake twice
If you're a programmer what's not ok is coming to the job and telling me you don't know how to write a simple select statement and didnt tell or ask anyone for the past month or demand to go to school to learn xyz and expect the company to pay for it when a specialist offers to train you with all the accumulated resources developed in house over the years but claims that it's not how you learn 🙄
You spent the first 3 minutes of this video repeating the same thing.
