One such city in my home state of Gujarat is Gandhidham which was established by the joint efforts of Bhai Dayaldas Pratap (who was a Sindhi businessman) and Raja Vijay Raj Jadeja of Kutch. Gandhidham was an industrial city with very modern facilities of its time...but few years after independence....Bhai Dayaldas died and then gradually the city came under government control.... Still city is a modern and good to liveble, but not like a jamshedpur level....
In 1902 at the same time both in britain and in india, teo planned cities are formed. One is belfast aand this jamshedpur. Today bel fast have mostly abandoned but jamshedpur is still prosperous nowadays.. Both cities were more industrial development and occupied major amount of work force.
Another such city is Raigarh, located in Chhattisgarh. It was on it's way to have the same fate as Jamshedpur but wasn't able to achieve it, due the the strong presence of 2 major communities, namely Marwadis(mostly Agrawals who own businesses) and Aghariyas(mostly Patels who own land). This city made it's initial progress due to the establishment of the steel industry established by Jindal group. Jindal group still has a strong presence here and owns major infrastructure that helps countless people and give employment to many.

I am from BOKARO, while you mention the point that the people of city protest so that it does not go in government hand , it was a good decision, as of Now my city BOKARO is on its way to become a ghost town 👻🌇 , i cant see any renovation work there forget about the development. I wish it was maintained properly then it could be also one of the best city's of JHARKHAND, the city was developmed in a grid pattern most of the todays planned city , help from SOVEIT UNION was also taken as clearly visible in the city infrastructure. I really wish from bottom of my heart that the city BOKARO STEEL CITY was maintain and developed, this is also the example of neglect to the east of India, i wish great journey to the TATANAGAR CITY be the best city in the 🇮🇳

Living in Jamshedpur has all the perks of being in a tier 1 city without the problems.

Not only Gandhidham and a small town of Adipur, just 10 kms away, were largely developed by sindhis inspite of shortage of water and sandy soil.
