I was lucky with my wheels, the nuts fitted and then had the tool issue. The fake callipers did need filing down, you heat gun does work well and have used that way. LOL you did not want to stink out the oven, truth you did not want a rolling pin from your misses.
I built the kit version. I blew out two hexes. Gorilla brand super glue was a bear and I ripped badly 3 of 4. I like the tires. I need a new set. SSD makes nice adapters now that work on the wheels and they hold good and tighten normally
I have run into this quite a bit. I always purchase hex extensions. I have always had good luck with them. The black 1.9 aluminum rims will not fit over the portal axles on my SCX10III. I have 8mm steel extensions on each wheel to make room. I now have just enough room for the wheels which makes me super happy. Love the video.! Watched every second of it.!!
Thank you Brian the problem is I can't find hex extensions for the m5 axles on the RYFT i think normally they are m3 or 4 they made them bigger on the RYFT so I can't find any hex extensions i love using them to on most of my crawlers
Nice Looking Beadlock Wheels 💯 The Orange matches the Cage too 😁👉 Great tip on the tool handle usage with the Hot Plastic's ✌🤠👍 HFLPRCing 👍😎👍 AOAH 🌟 RCF4L 🙏 Stay Safe and Play Healthy Brother Brent
GREAT IDEA!!! 🤘💪👩👩👧👧👌 I have done the Toaster Oven method before..... Messy, pisses off the Wifey, and takes much longer. I've got a Heat Gun and Rubber handle Pliers, I'm TRYING that!!!
Wish I had a heat gun one tool I've not had much use for😂 l thats a good quick way of getting them off, I found boiling them in water for half hour was easyer for me an it doesn't destroy the plastic rims an no smell 😂👍 hope ur keeping well pal 🙋♂️✌
Nicely done. I was setting up a set of new wheels & tires myself this weekend. In past I've always boiled my tires to get the glue bead to break. I don't know what happened to my old pot. I might have to "borrow" the heat gun from work one day. Anyway an update video on my channel coming soon on my new tires, wheels & shocks. Rock on!! 00
Very very cool, love the wheels, and thanks for the tip removing the preglued tire. Needed this I have some nice tires I want to put on metal wheels, yes sir Thank you 😎🤘
Holy Screws.. JAZUS man!!!! And the wheel nut. I assume the Regular little "t" wheel wrench that everyone has, wont fit in there either? Huh!! That sucks. lol When it came to removing tires. I have found that Boiling the tire for a couple of minutes .. seems to work pretty good. The rim stays in decent shape as well. Only did it a couple times though. But Brent those new rims look pretty awesome on the rig brother. It will look good out there.. ;) Did you see the Ocean of Ryfts at axialfest? I saw a video on the course they had setup for them. Looked pretty cool. The ryfts were so new they all looked like they were stock. It was a fun event by the looks of it.. :)
@@AdventureTimeRC they might be ok for crawling but bashing around I doubt it ( hopefully it will be okay ) as we all know the Chinese alloy its a bit on the soft side and I know you give your rigs a good ol'bashing 🙂
This was really good, I have struggled with using the oven and boiling water to unglue tires, it's always a huge hassle and I've never had it work very good. I've done the homemade thin wall thing myself before LOL.
The first time I baked off. RTR tires my wife come home. Thought I was doing something else. I was like hell no I got tires in the oven The terrible odor they go away.

Wow 😍😍👍👍 nice video my friend 😊👍
Thank you very much my friend
I didn't think that those tires are so big comparing to your hands, or are your hands small 😋, great video my rc friend 👍💪
Lol the tires are really big love them
That's a good tip, pushing the rubbery part of the handle of the pliers down and sort of rolling it.
Thank you Del it was a happy accident the first time I ever did it because my hands were getting sore now I always do it this way
😁😁👍👍

cool information and nice bead locks
Thank you very much brother
Looks nice, great job. The Ryft will benefit from a little extra width.
I noticed that to I like these wheels hope they hold up
Very nice! Great Job Done. Need to get that nightmare of a reserver out of my ryft, losses bind almost every time it's shut off...
I had the same issue turn off the avc and make sure its on a level surface when you power up not a problem since I did this
@@AdventureTimeRC thanks Brent... 🤜🤛👊
Awesome information 👍 Thanks for sharing your knowledge, greatly appreciated 👍
Thank you very much I really appreciate it

Yeah the RYFT has 8mm hex nuts everything is bigger on this rig really having fun with it
Killer technique for removing pre glued tires. And perfect timing because I noticed that my stock rims are rounding out too
Thank you brother the plastic just can't handle ryft power
good 👍👍
They are pretty cool I have the exact same wheels on the mauler . great video 👍 Brent
Thank you very much I am hoping they hold up to the abuse I really like the wheels

Sometimes you just have to make your own tools lol heat gunboats always worked for me
I soaked my tires in Acetone for 6 hours. It turned the glue white, but that's it.
Never tried that before
Nice informative vid ,thank you
Hey you got them. Nice video and good info
Thank you very much Jason and Lizz
i just bought the vitavon 2.2 beadlocks, and im having a bugger of a time , ive got one mounted up so far but ill keep at it lol.
The first time I baked off. RTR tires my wife come home. Thought I was doing something else. I was like hell no I got tires in the oven The terrible odor they go away.

Is this the orange crush build?
Thats a great name for this rig thank you for watching
Question, we're those the 35mm wide set?
What is the brand name of the wheels I can't find the color of the wheels you have in the vide.
Don't buy these rims. I bent two in one mild jump.
Bummer I haven't broken mine yet and I have been pretty hard on it that sucks sorry to hear that
