I've only flown RC helicopters and airplanes and don't know much about boats, but this boat rocks ! Used to love the boats in TV serie Miami Vice in the 80's, think those were Scarabs or so, fast suckers, 2 thumbs up for sure.
I don't get all the haters man. Thats super cool. My dad has a real ski boat of his own and my passion is helping him maintain it and using it as much as possible. this is an awesome hobby and something fun to do. It always keeps you busy too keeping it clean and making it run faster and smoother. Keep at it
So many rude and ignore comments from people with no manners. LMAF sure stick your battery powered boats in the water and let's see how realistic they are maybe you can make the engines sound come out of your mouth. My partner and I race off shore race boats and from the sound of the engines and props I would guess you have the wrong ones on it. The engines are over powering the props every time you try to really get on it. This is called spinning the props just like over powering tires on a car the blades can not grab the water so they basically become like a blender. It's easier with a full size boat because we can use a computer to figure out the size and pitch we need and than fine tune them. That puppy is going to haul ass once it's dialed in. Oh and the comment about pollution is funny you could piss in that pond and cause more environmental issues than his boat. Thank you for the video I hope to see many more. Cheers
TTime685 if your trying to be funny your not doing very well? and if you hate the vid then piss of and watch something you like? or maybe just stick to your fake Subaru !
that thing is badass!!!! if you couldnt see the people, and the land,, you would think that it was a far away video of a real offshore boat hauling SERIOUS ASS!! that thing is cool man!
Very cool boat! Love how scale these non electric boats perform. I do enjoy my electric and gas boats equally for their own characteristics but nothing looks and sounds cooler than a large scale gas motor pushing a scale boat trough the water.
For all you guys that are talking crap. The first buyer of the boat paid about 9k for this thing I paid 2800. Its an 84 inch Bonzi Apache with two counter rotating quickdraw 70cc engines. I think that if I spent more time setting up the boat I could have had it running in the 60's. This is a video that we shot the first time I had the boat in the water. Since then I have seperated up the boat and sold off most of the parts. I still have a standard rotation QD twin on the shelf...
Great, but to me its more fun to have a real one, I have an old early 70''s 16 foot fiberglass ski boat powered by a 292 ford, this is fun for everyone, the kids line up for a tow on the tubes or ski, some I have never meet before but I make sure they wait there turn and have fun, to see the kids laughing makes me happy..
That's a sea racer. The little plastic toy boat would flip and sink. This is the same deep v hull design that I used to use on the Torquay to Paignton race 12 years ago. I used to use two 22cc chainsaw motors though. And they are not slow, open the throttles and mine would do 50-55 mph on choppy water.
Heh, but I still love my plastic chinese one-engined 10-cm long boat that I had when I was 5. It wasn't very remotely controlled, about as remote as the length of a child's hand. It sailed in circles. I used to cut grass with it in the summer camp!
@UniqueFC3S we run sealed radio boxes...when they flip and water gets in the motors we just pull the plug and clear them out...then back on the lake..;)
Dear friends, for me it s all magic . due to circumstances have to go from full size to rc . looks great so much details . where can you buy a boat like this you have some websites to look nice engines
thanks all for the million and a half hits!!!! I think its about time to explain what your seeing here. Its an 84 inch Bonzi v-hull with two twin quickdraw 70cc engines. the boat retails for 9k I picked it up for 2800. The boats been parted out. I still have one engine. This video was shot on the maiden voyage. We estimate the top speed could have been over 60 mph with the correct setup. your looking at about 40mph here.
nice looking boat matey i was thinking must be alot faster then that for wot you have in there i mean twin engine thought might just take off lolol ...
Two things in response. Someone said these sound better than electrics. Have you ever heard an electric boat that does 80, or 90mph? They are something to be heard. The scream of that prop shredding the water is a noise I really like to hear. As a matter of fact, some of those electrics are far louder than gas if you've seen them in person. Next. Runtime. Okay, you keep paying for fuel. What if you didn't have to keep paying for fuel? Then you could buy more batteries, duh! Runtime, schmumtime.
awsomest RC i have ever seen, well besides that huge russian hind helicopter rc. that and this are the awsomest rc vehicles i have seen on youtube in 8 years
Electric is even less efficient as it produces lots of heat from the windings, and takes two steps to manufacture. First gas or coal is burnt polluting the air, then it is used to make heat in an electric motor and batteries. In a gas set up there is one step, gas is burned and rotational energy is created with less heat, and sounds cooler.
twin twin as in dual twin motors? i've seen many importers here in sweden that sells both these complete, but also everything you need to put togheter your own. they sell all kinds of engines, from small 1cylinder 2-stroke, to bigass 4strokes. but also v-twin engines, and it was because of that i started to wonder if this boat has 2 2cylinder engines =)
do you know anything about the builder. a friend of mine bought one on eBay about 8-10 years ago. I think it came from Florida, and had almost the same paint job.
The acceleration is spot on realistic. Not too slow not ridiculously fast. Very impressive.

Your used mouthwash would kill everything in that pond... CHEERS!

that thing makes a noise that one would only hear in their nightmares! I love it!! hahaha sick boat!!
that thing is badass!!!! if you couldnt see the people, and the land,, you would think that it was a far away video of a real offshore boat hauling SERIOUS ASS!! that thing is cool man!
I watched this once before but I did not realize what a great ride it is. It really gets up nicely.
Damn! Those 2 motors in unison sound amazing! Great job!
Very cool boat! Love how scale these non electric boats perform. I do enjoy my electric and gas boats equally for their own characteristics but nothing looks and sounds cooler than a large scale gas motor pushing a scale boat trough the water.
Now you just need one of those water skiing squirrels!
what a beast boat.sick design.this thing just glide across the water.
I used to work with cigarette boats down in Ft Lauderdale, this gave me good memories. Very, very nice! loved it.
That thing is beautiful and sounds pretty nice!
I didn't even know they had these. Pretty cool stuff.
You're all talkin out of your asses this boat has some realism ! I don't want no 30 inch boat doing 70 mph wise up!
+Oh Shxne Good to find people that know!
love the paint job, wow
one hell of a machine man. looks like a lot of fun. love the way she banks so tight

@UniqueFC3S you need it opened so that you can tune the motors.
Thats awesome!! Now i just need to get enough money to get on of these or just a gas powered RC truck. :D
That thing is seriously awesome man !!
Holy crap! That is loud AND sick!!!
Man driving that thing looks so fun........

@crushkrew Do the engines run counter rotation or is one prop reverse geared?
@UniqueFC3S we run sealed radio boxes...when they flip and water gets in the motors we just pull the plug and clear them out...then back on the lake..;)
Dear friends, for me it s all magic . due to circumstances have to go from full size to rc . looks great so much details . where can you buy a boat like this

after running it on the lake for a while and enjoy.. what do we do with it now? run again?
Doesn't sound any worse than the guys mowing my lawn or the construction going on next door. If I was your neighbor I'd be watching you run it!
ARE YOU KIDDING!!! AWESOME!!!
pretty neat what does one of those boats cost?
Nothin' like standin' on the bank watchin the toy go in circles....woo hoo...
Fantastic video of a great boat. I wonder if my wife will let me buy one.
@SnowMonkVX That boat is probably around $2500. The engines alone are $1000 for the pair.
That squirrel can water ski!
Holy cow that things so big you must have to drive it like a real boat
Had a QuickDraw in a 43” Aeromarine Challenger .way to much for that boat . But fun !
Sounds awesome!!!😀
@X3lfl3X they have water pick-ups on bottom of hull...so they run pretty cool...
Its fast, but it also seems to have really good handling. Nice!

Nice boat ! And good camera man !
Stuart Little would have a heyday with this
so what do you do when it runs out of gas in the middle of the lake?
@runiemage99
Great boat. thanks.
I had only a single inline 70cc on mine. It was on a 56 Aeromarine Apache. Renegade prop.
Monster horsepower.
Beautiful Boat!How fast?
Oh wow, How fast can this thing go ?
Wow! That is one impressive boat.

twin twin as in dual twin motors? i've seen many importers here in sweden that sells both these complete, but also everything you need to put togheter your own. they sell all kinds of engines, from small 1cylinder 2-stroke, to bigass 4strokes. but also v-twin engines, and it was because of that i started to wonder if this boat has 2 2cylinder engines =)

how fast does that go?
@TerrellKX Nope 1/4 throttle...boat was parted out before full throttle runs were able to be videoed...;(
what kinda boat is that?
I think that if the proprllers will be directed 30degrees from the ox orientation i will incrase speed and cornering
Wow. Great powerful Model. I like it.
do you know anything about the builder. a friend of mine bought one on eBay about 8-10 years ago. I think it came from Florida, and had almost the same paint job.
