These are/were great automobiles with NOTHING "SILLY" about them. One thing I found likeable about the narration was a reference to the fender skirts of the elegant '41 Cadillac convertible as "spats". That was cool.
i found this video to be kind of jumbled. shown in a cadillac, words describing a packard, as is the pictures which show modified cars interlocked with stock. add to this mispronounced words and you have a reference source of questionable value.
@@terrywood3883I've never owned an MG, but a couple of my brothers have had MGBs. And I've certainly had to help R&R the engines in them more times than I like to think about. 😅
I have a friend who owns 4 Cord L-29s, 1 Coffin nose, a Duesenberg Model J, and several other rare automobiles. An interesting thing about the Cords is that the Lycoming engine sat in the car backwards because the transmission was at the front. The shifter was a chrome plated rod about 6 feet long and almost 2 inches in diameter. It ran through the dashboard and came straight back. To shift gears, you would push or pull the rod and rotate it to select the right gear. I’ve never seen anything like it.
Thank Goodness! Don't mind the accent. Do love the brevity of the description of each car. The brand and name engine size configuration and output plus any other innovation that set it apart from it's contemporaries. Usually the narrator drones on and on repeating a lot of the information not just twice but three or more times. This is the Internet, if I missed hearing something clearly, I can always replay it. Thank you to the producers of this video for keeping the descriptions short and to the point.
In the one on the 1946 and 1947 Caddy, you switched and talked about a Packard! Do you even watch and correct the mistakes in your videos, it seems you do not!
the 41 Cadillac part was good, but the narration started talking about Packard's Clipper with the 356 straight 8. Technical glitch, I'm sure. Have a 47 Packard Club Sedan with this engine, a wonderful driving experience.
22:45 the alternative creepspeak began talking about the 1946-1947 Packard Coupe while showing various Cadillacs. Chrysler's Town and Country was produced into the 1950's The Tucker used a Lycoming rear-mounted flat 'boxter' type engine. The Ford 'F' series were NOT 'shoebox'. The 1949-1951 Fords were referred to as 'showbox'. Duesenberg only built 'rolling chassis'. Bodies were coach built.
Silly indeed. Building small amounts of cars by hand for some madly wealthy. Now much better cars are built and bought in huge numbers by fairly normal citizens.
The description of the Tucker failed to point out it's most advanced feature: a rear mounted engine. It would be 11 years before mighty General Motors would mass produce an even vaguely comparable sedan.
I don't think there is anything silly about any of these cars. You can tell the creator of this knows nothing about the American automobiles and is the silliest video creator on RUclips.
I stopped at 2:54, and scanned through the rest. Please define YOUR idea of what silly means, because I saw lots of old cars that fail to meet my definition of silly!
Where is 53 Kaiser 'Dragon' - more expensive than a Cadillac of that year and with so many innovations and an engine with no power and odd in competition
Whoever writes the text for the AI narration, need to spell out the numbers, instead of the using the numerals. That way the AI will read it properly instead of the way it does like this. The AI sees 851, and reads it as eight hundred fifty one. When in everyday speech it is eight fifty one. These numbers are not meant to be numerical, but are used for classification, and identification.
The voice description incorporated here is most annoying in its mispronouncing of words that are not in its vocabulary. Maybe in its future use the designers will overcome this shortcoming.
What was "silly" about any of these automobiles? And the jerking, pulled and yanked photos at each introduction visually and psychologically disturbing...
Nice cars, horrible robovoice AI narration. And it's a U.S. channel - no need for the fake Brit accent. Just the photos with brief captions would be much better.
If the term "silly" means great and awesome, then I would go with that, but if "silly" means what most people call it, then I would call whoever put this video together ridiculous and out to lunch. I'm not going to waste time watching the rest of this dumb video.

The silliest thing about this video is its title. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Really, they all were great cars. Weird? Not even, not ever.
There is nothing silly about any of these vehicles.
We need an explanation for the hideous naming of this video, and I won't give it a like until there is some excuse for the mislabeling.
@@alanblanes2876 I stopped watching. I can't watch crap like this. DriveTV won't be watched by me again. I hope others follow!

The only thing worse than AI narration is one with an accent.
It's ....... silly!

This is a list of some of the most beautifully designed best performance and most luxurious autos ever designed and built and offered to the public

Absolutely gorgeous automobiles!
How is the Cadillac V16 silly? Ad 49 more!
A total waste of time, nice pictures of cars, worst ever narration.
Excellent Video - Enjoyed Very Much!!!!🎉❤❤🎉
What a silly title for this video. None of these great cars are silly. To me, these milestone cars make all of today's cars look silly.
"Pound-feet pf RPM"? Whaaaat?!
The silliest aspect of this video letting AI be involved. It would have been if it were just captioned. You silly producers!
I never realized that beautiful American classic automobiles were silly. Oh naughty me!
"Silly" you!!
As an organizer I start from where the world is, as it is, not as I would like it to be.

Good to see these rare cars some are hotrods but they still exist
Silly car designs? Seems an odd choice of descriptors but this video kept my attention.
thank you!
this was a good video, not really any negative feedback like some other videos. this should have been called greatest cars of all time.
"Silliest"? ...by whose definition! Each was CLASSIC in its own time, and very little was "silly" about them!
Not as silly as the bond bug / reliant three wheelers
Not Silly, Actually Superb.
Why do Britons call everything silly,,there were innovations,,real craftmanship!
They're jealous
Another BOGUS AI channel!
Compensating for their overpriced unreliable cars, plagued with bad wiring and mechanical issues. Ask anyone who’s owned an MG, Triumph, or Jaguar
@@terrywood3883I've never owned an MG, but a couple of my brothers have had MGBs. And I've certainly had to help R&R the engines in them more times than I like to think about. 😅

You're a Silly Billy. Keep it up and your goin in the back room with no window for a month.
why call this the "silliest" cars??????
I'll say it as well. Why call them the "silliest"?
These automobiles were pieces of art and craftsmanship. Not like today's autos.
Love seeing these classics but not hearing the narration.
Where do they come up with all this information and then decide to name it silly? Is that a form of click bait?
In this video title the word silliest should be replaced with the word desirable
The 49 Ford truck a ‘shoebox’ design? It was the cars that were known as a ‘shoebox’ dummy!
Does this guy know what "silliest" means?
Exactly what was silly about these cars?
