    Good day John,
My husband and I just did the oil change of our two Spyder today. Your video was very useful, even necessary. We could not have done it without your video. Also, thanks to you telling us what size we needed for the oil filter, Thanks again to you. Un gros merci!

John, Thanks for making this video. I plan to do my 1st oil change on my Can Am Spyder RT SE6 next week and didn't have a clue how to go about it...Tools needed, panels to remove, removing the mirror and where the filter is hiding. Will watch your other videos too.

Getting ready to do my own oil change for the first time. I replaced the 2 analog dials and added a USC and Voltmeter instead of running more wire and it worked out very well. BTW great video.

Did my first oil change this morning. Was a piece of cake after watching yours and others videos here. Was a bit intimidated at first, but even the tupperware was a breeze taking off and reinstalling. The one concern I did notice ( mine is 2014 used ) was the transmission plug, was a bit rounded, so I may be needing to replace that sometimes down the road. Thanks in advance for your great video tutorials.

Thanks John. I took my 2019 RT Limited in for the recall (inspection of the sprocket) so I figured I'd get the oil changed while it was there. Little did I know it was going to cost me $406.00 to get it done. I'll be doing it myself next time after watching your video.

Outstanding tutorial you have helped me with my decision to purchase a spyder. 400 dollars for an oil change at the local dealer, too many parts to remove to do it myself and so disappointing to see how expensive these machines are the expense of maintenance.

We just hit year 1 with no real maintenance issues. The first oil change is at 3000 then every 9000 after that. I did put on a back tire, the average life is 7000 to 10,000 Mine had 10,000. The price was $350.00

noticed on the vid you have an all stock standard exhaust, I found modifying this system has increased the power and milage, the cat converter has been gutted and replaced as for the exhaust I replaced with an after market unit. This removed around 10kielos which loghtend the bike weight. Just my mods which might be of use to you. I do a lot of highway rideing.

Miles and I did the canal ride this last week and it sealed our wanting a spyder. My question is I found a 2013 limited Rt with 8000 miles on it for around $13000. How is the older canam vs the new. I can’t see spending $29000 for a new one so I have been looking for months and finally found one! I know the engine is smaller on the older years! And response would be helpful! Thsnks

    • @JohnMiriamsTravelVlog

Hay guys, I would have a spyder tech check it out, 8000 miles is low (good) we did a 4 day test ride on a 13 in 2015 SE5 (simi auto, 5 speed). We had no issues with it. Just check the value vs the price, dont overpay.

Good point Dennis. I never thought about quantity as it comes in the kit. I pour most in, check for leaks and level and top off. I never use 100% (dont want to over fill ). The transmission uses the same oil, and its drained in two points, but its all added in the same place, just under the seat on the right side. Hope that helps,
