Hi, Looks very interesting. What is general durability of the control board, rest can be 3d printed but if control board is not durable it is risky, Can you tell generally how long can we expect control board to last without problems?
Our v3 controller board is highly durable, In the past 4 months, more than 600 customers have utilized our v3 board without encountering any issues. Because of the external stepper motor driver. even if the stepper motor driver were to malfunction, replacing the a4988 stepper motor driver is very easy and cheap.

how to set our own handwriting font
This is pretty hard if you want "real" handwriting, because every letter behaves differently with every other letter, so you'll need to save 25 As, then 25 as, then 25 Bs, and so on.
But if you just want normal handwriting you can just create your own font, convert it to inkscape and just it for your texts. You'll need to write the alphabet in your wanted style with big and short letters and then just vectorize it. There should be several guides to this

Yes the V3 assembled comes with the V3 control board and you don't have to buy it separately.

Axidraw is in simulation mode only
Uncheck that simulation mode

Inkscape is a pretty tame program, so, depending on how old your laptops is, you should be fine. You can google Inkscape's requirements and check if your laptop does fit the criterias

No gcode sender required with V3, you can directly run the machine from inkscape

I haven't ordered yet, but yesterday the shop offered Germany as destination country, so you should be fine. But the shipping is half the cost of the EasyDraw, still a ton cheaper than the AxiDraw (which price is just over the top, since it's not more than a 3D Printer without the y and printing function)
