In the end, the installation was successful. The solution was to manually make a "refresh the plugin list".

when I click on the space key and hold it to duplicate notes on the piano it just moves them over like when you use the shift key and arrow . Am I missing something I'm on MacBook .

You have to switch from Song mode to PAT mode :)

The Mugent player doesn't appear at all. Not after rebooting twice and installing it twice. How do I troubleshoot this?

Hi Travis, I contacted the support of mugent. Here is what they said:
1. der User soll ein Support Ticket erstellen, denn da werden alle vorab nötigen Fragen gestellt - zu finden in seinem My Account Bereich.
z.B. in diesem Fall: MAC oder PC?
2. Ist der User nach Installationsanleitung vorgegangen - zu finden unter FAQ und auf der Landing Page wo er den Player heruntergeladen hat.

3. Hat der User einen Rescan der Plugins durchgeführt? In FL Studio unter "ADD" zu finden:
