You missed a crucial step, setting each cylinder in the neutral position before removing the chains, that way the valves won't hit the piston like yours did when the cam sprung back when you were taking the chain off
Great vid. Missed one thing when you commented about removing it in the car. The alternator and it's mounting plate need to be removed to release the last sideways bolts in the back side of the case where the alternator mounts..
@@JM8686 Good idea. A problem I'm having is lighting and everything is covered in grease. I'll figure it out. Thanks for the reply. I do have a small pen style mirror
I replaced the timing chains and head gaskets and all my timing marks are on the colored links. But now it will not fire. The fuel pump comes on but the motor will not start. The motor has 100,000 miles on it and appears to have been well maintained. The water pump went out and it blew a head gasket. So I put new chains on it also
It has compression. The battery was unhooked for about two months. Is it possible that it lost its program from the key? The key is the type that folds together like a pocket knife. The main body that the key folds into is missing. But the van came with a key fob that works the alarm and doors. The Mazda dealer told me that the chip is in the part I'm missing. I don't know if the key was like that when I bought the van off of Facebook.

Do you have to pull the engine to replace a timing chain or even a cylinder head? On a 2002 Ford Escape I took off the lower intake manifold on mine and I could see the head clearly idk if I’d have enough working room but is it doable? Or been done
If you have the v6 with the double timing chains, one in front and one in the back, you have to remove the engine! Now if you have the one with only one timing chain in the middle of the engine ,you are able to do the job with the engine on the car
On a 3.0L 2002 Escape I removed the front head with the engine in the car in order to replace a piston. (Piston had seized and broken due to overheating.)
for 2022 / 2023 Ford 3.0. is it still the same which is Timing Chain and no more timing belt? Thanks!
Good perfect Engine not hase cam phaser no bad water pump inside timing cover no long stretch chain
Aw man, I hate the 3.6 ford engine, such awful design
Please teach us more about the timing replacement
Thanks for u
Do you have a video showing actual step's from the beginning?
Hi, whats between the 2 blocks, oil separator? I have this engine, I think it is leaking from that separator?? Gracias
Why did you remove the camshaft?
Is this the same engine(only a little bigger) as the 2.5 V6 Duratec engine(2001-2007)? Or am i saying something really stupid?

Hello excellent video question? how I synchronize the camshafts with the crankshaft, change chains
I changed a head but did not set camshaft prior to removal. Will your video on timing chain marks help me?
Yeah it should
and the mount which is the correct point

I'm having trouble finding the upper bolt for that bracket. I can see the lower one but I have no clue where the other one is
Might need a mirror?

There is no security light flashing. What does that mean?
Hello but do you know what it means when I don't have a security light flashing or lighting up

good afternoon, tell me on which run you need to change the chain? on this engine Ford if the timing chain jumps the valve is oppressed?
Yes if it skips it will mess up the valves
