It can also make the meat last longer and fresher. It has a stronger smell which will help eliminate the smell of the meat. Baking powder is being used in baking like making cake. In baking you can not substitute the baking powder for baking soda, because too much baking soda in baking will make the cake smell very metallic like. But if you wish to try to use baking powder, you can also use it but it may break the meat ball when it rise too fast while boiling. 😊
