Thank you so very much for explaining how to use a serger. M son gave me a surprise of a beautiful Juki serger. It has been almost a year and I hav not used it because I am afraid that I will destroy it. Praise the Lord for your channel !!!!! Have subscribed and looking forward to making my first Serger pajamas.

Your instructions are so helpful! Thank you for the pattern marking tips and the recommendation for using the iron-on knit stabilizer.
I recently tried using woolly nylon thread in the loopers for a bathrobe, and I will continue to use it when I make a matching pajama set because it made the serged seam so soft.

love your videos. Im a quilter and follow your quilting videos but this one on the serger has reminded me to get out my old serger (35yo) and do some simple sewing (like I used to many years ago). I have a differential feed on my normal machine and realise how useful it would be on the modern sergers, but, my little old serger still cranks along quite well. Thank you for such simple detailed instructions

This helped answer a lot of questions that I had. You did a very good job of explaining about the pattern and pattern markings. You explained about the fabric and its stretchiness in regard to the pattern, with the info on the back of the pattern envelope. So many things I did not know about. Yes, this is the first of your videos I’ve seen, I’ll go check out your others now.

I'm so happy to see a nicely done video of serger sewing :) Love the differential feed tip ....I'll be using that one for sure. Great pattern for showing technique . Can we expect another ????? I know there is a large number of serger scare babies out there. Machines sitting lonely still in packing box....so sad. Time to pull those poor neglected friends out and get to know them! I've had one to use along with sewing machines more years than I care to admit. They sure have come a long way. Thanks for another great video!!!

You have the neatest ideas. Didn't know there was an interfacing for knits. I put a woven gathered band on a knit sleeve. First of all the knit stretched so therefore I lost most of the gathers. Would the interfacing have prevented this? Also I have trouble with the gathers when I apply them to woven materials. What's your suggestion to this? Thanks.

The only way I can get the Row and Column red line is to print 2 pages at a time (there is 56 pages). I've tried every combination of print options. If print it out without the red lines the pattern is wonky in 2 places. So frustrating.

Did you use special sewing machine needles for the knit fabric. Great video as usual.

    Hi Laura
This is an older video but hope you reply. Will the fusible stabilizer gum up the needle or the knife?
Thank you and as all ways I love your videos!

No as the glue on the stabilizer is not sticky. Thanks for asking:)
