My brothers, I want to thank u for this video. My wife's 2017 Tahoe had a bad o2 sensor. The dealership wanted $740. I ordered the materials from your video and for that price I fixed it. Thanks big dogs!
Great video, guys. 😁 Change of plans. We’re just going to keep driving with the check engine light and that socket up in there. 🤣😂 That comment made my day.
When you clear the code, you reset all the data in the computer needed to pass inspection. You may have to drive the truck around for a week before you can take it in for an inspection to collect new data. Alternatively, the light would have went out on its own. Good job guys!
2 real men working on a truck!!!! ...and we decided to just keep driving with the engine light on😆😆😆😆 thats me 100,000 miles later but guess I'm changing both #1s in the morning. 😆😆😆😆😆 the garage left it unplugged !!!!!
No, definitely not. The torque converter went out and grenaded the transmission. Very frustrating. Have heard of many instances of failed transmissions at less than 120k miles on these trucks 2014+.
Axle Brothers yes my Denali had same issue, converter sends metal shards through tranny and screws it all up. GMC rebuilt mine at 98k miles because of it. I am now receiving a p0058 code; is that what you fixed here?
Ironic , my 2015 threw an 02 sensor high voltage sensor 1 bank 1 just after replacing a torque converter. Absolutely ridiculous, 120k here. Gm is trash.
@@RicardoMartinez-gb3ii They are the original o2 sensors that came with the truck, way overdue to get changed. I assume they are genuine GM parts or AC Delcos. I have a P0174 code showing on my code reader. I haven't changed out the sensors yet, been delayed with other things going on.
2018 gmc truck 1500.sierra transmission 1000, miles radiator next ,water pump, all wire to power and negative fuse box what happened to America built so sad..I have graduated to mechanic now..last truck was a Toyota 3000 plus nothing only tires and oil nothing broke or wore out also just replaced Cataic converter system the whole thing yeah America built jk
2017 Tahoe with 51,000 KM - P2097 Post CATALYtic Fuel Trim Sys Too Rich ?? Bad o2 ??? Dealer Replaced y-pipe CATALYTIC CONVERTERS LAST YEAR ? ? WTF More GM CRAP

That price is outrageous!
"Change of plans... we're just going to drive with the check engine light on forever, and this socket right here." Felt that. lmao
You guy’s are awesome

Thanks for the video guys. Knew I could just do it myself.

Drive time is in rang of 80 to 100 miles then it resest
Took a whole 35 minutes to change both bank 1 o2s today on my 2013 Sierrra. Both came out no problem with 7/8 wrench
7/8 Wrench worked great took 10 seconds after an hour pb soak

Interesting. My trans went bad, got it bad now i have an o2 sensor code.
Thanks for this vid gotta change o2 sensor 2 on my 14 Sierra smells real bad at the moment
great video
100% exactly what happened to me. Identical story
What was the actual problem with the transmission? Was this a computer issue from the o2 sensor being bad/unplugged?

Did the CEL come back on after or was that the fix ?
U changed both upstream ND downstream?

Was yo truck in limp mode?? Did it lose power ?
@@ederrisboyd3042 Yup, but as of 2.5 years ago I bought another Ford and haven’t had an issue since. Highly recommend.
Agree, AC out 62k, trans out 149k. Towed a small trailer 2x.
@@georgia4067 I’ve owned a 2018 F150 since early 2021 zero issues. Go get a ford
how you clear the code if the engine light came back
Hi guys, I have a 2014 Sierra V6, I’m having the p0420 code come up, is the 02 sensor on my truck in the same location as this one?
I have a 2013 Sierra 1500 and I have codes showing, I'm just gonna change all four out. What brand name of sensors did you use?
I have the same truck, what brand name of sensors did you use? I have P015B code,

Yeahhhh.... I'll give ya that one!
What was the code number ?? Is it P015B?
That’s the code I got for bank 1 sensor 1.
