I remember when carpenters first started adopting Makita as a brand back in the '80s. I was Milwaukee and Skil all the way at that point, but I saw the benefits to the cordless Makita drills when I used them a few times by chance. Makita has only gotten better at developing products since. Big fan of this saw and its value in the segment.
i dont even lock the base on this saw, when I do framing, i use it like a plunge saw, then follow through with the cut. I dont even use a square for 2*8 crosscutd, comes out square all the time.
Personal preference. For something like that a top handle saw could be better bc you would reaching downwards bc you would be higher than the material it self. If you adjust the depth of cut to match exactly the material the rear handle could be at the angle you need to push comfortably.

Great saw!
I just bought this saw, dual charger, and two 5ah batteries for $155. I hope i like it. Cant beat the price. Thanks for the Video..
wow never saw that price..im going with KNOCK OFF batteries..and charger and still will spend more than that!
The New version of the XSR01 does have a vacuum port on it and for the price of $155.00 for the kit , this saw is Unbeatable.....👍🖖
Where did you find that deal?
@@kenprice0 $155.00 is the amount you pay after you do the "Hack" and return the 2 Free 5.0ah batteries they give you when you buy the Saw Kit .... 👍🖖
Can you please tell me the make of fence you are using ? can't seem to find one to fit my 36V saw.

Yeah here too. Most the time my depth adjustment isn’t locked either

Ever tried cutting granite or marvel material with that saw?
not granite or marble, but i have cut concrete with it.
Is rear handle saw still comfortable when using them on the ground and not a saw horse, for example cut sun floors in a home

My bro I found the dust collector is the round black makita name where you lock to take the blade
GRS01 vs XRS need a face-to-face view👍
will have to wait for that wallet to recover first... but it's on my list somewhere...
Search youtube for “tools & stuff” he has done the head to head review.
Has anyone else had the problem of the blade not bieng aligned with the 0 mark.
Why didn’t they make a saw rail adapter 😐
makita kinda lives in their own world..
Not accurate enough for a guide rail. The base needs to rotate around the cutting strip. Id say it was never designed for the track.
