    I remember when carpenters first started adopting Makita as a brand back in the '80s. I was Milwaukee and Skil all the way at that point, but I saw the benefits to the cordless Makita drills when I used them a few times by chance. Makita has only gotten better at developing products since. Big fan of this saw and its value in the segment.

    I just bought this saw, dual charger, and two 5ah batteries for $155. I hope i like it. Cant beat the price. Thanks for the Video..

    The New version of the XSR01 does have a vacuum port on it and for the price of $155.00 for the kit , this saw is Unbeatable.....👍🖖

      @@kenprice0 $155.00 is the amount you pay after you do the "Hack" and return the 2 Free 5.0ah batteries they give you when you buy the Saw Kit .... 👍🖖

    i dont even lock the base on this saw, when I do framing, i use it like a plunge saw, then follow through with the cut. I dont even use a square for 2*8 crosscutd, comes out square all the time.

      Yeah here too. Most the time my depth adjustment isn’t locked either

    Porque dice que tiene tantos años si yo utilice una una skil desde el 82 a la fecha y ese modelo no estaba en ese tiempo. En el 2020 compré la Makita magnesium y me gustó mucho aunque se me hace más incómodo su mango pero ya veremos con el tiempo tiempo si sigue igual de silenciosa y suave para trabajar.

    Is rear handle saw still comfortable when using them on the ground and not a saw horse, for example cut sun floors in a home

      Personal preference. For something like that a top handle saw could be better bc you would reaching downwards bc you would be higher than the material it self. If you adjust the depth of cut to match exactly the material the rear handle could be at the angle you need to push comfortably.

      Not accurate enough for a guide rail. The base needs to rotate around the cutting strip. Id say it was never designed for the track.
