A GUN is strong, a TANK is strong, but HUMANS are absolutely not strong. I mean seriously what do we have? Some weak ass fingernails and teeth, which we wouldn’t be able to use efficiently in a fight to the death, because fights to the death aren’t really as common in human society as they are in the wild. • @mission3479

      No. The difference is that these fish will die not just from only being out of water but also not from swimming. Many other kinds of fish can still survive on a boat inside of a fish tank, as long as they're in water they'll stay alive at least for some time. A better comparison would be like saying that humans would die if they stopped walking or running, but we know that humans can still breathe while remaining stationary as long as they have access to oxygen.

Also, plants are living things too, what consideration should they be given?

    • @danielled8665
      @danielled8665 Год назад +6

      Dont they also cook their own meat if they fight too long? I believe tuna are partially or fully endothermic, their muscles producing enough heat to keep them warmer than the surrounding water, allowing them to be very fast even in cold waters. But that means if they are stressed too hard fighting a line, they will literally overheat and start to cook.

    • @warpdriveby
      @warpdriveby Год назад +3

      @@danielled8665 I think you might be thinking of the "acidic" cooking a lá ceviche? To do so they'd have to generate enormous amounts of lactic acid, which does effect taste and texture. Or, they'd be generating so much heat that they'd be dead long before they're hauled in, I'm not a marine biologist, so this should be taken with salt, but the physics don't seem to add up for them to "cook" in the every day sense. I don't know if an acidic process could become that extreme, but in extremis animal body systems are capable of some astonishing things. I'm gonna learn me a bit about this. My guess is that is an urban legend type thing but we'll see.

      Dude didn't described problem. We can keep alive a lot of kins of fishes just putting them in water and some can survive long enough in places with high humidity without water. So you just put fish in water and don't care if it can move or not But ram ventilation demands quite a bit of space for fish to move. It's quite expensive to transport fish and it's also expensive to keep it alive until someone's buy it. It's possible to buy fresh tuna you just need to be a little bit rich or live very close to shore

    • @TheDwightMamba
      @TheDwightMamba 8 месяцев назад +31

      @@OneNiftyBoi Ram ventilation is less than 1% of fish. The vast majority can shut half of their brains down for "sleep" as the other half keeps them breathing and looking for creatures that want to eat them.
