- The account that has been choosing the cat for #wcotw is currently on hiatus, so I've decided to cover a cat that's had some recent controversy about her: Frecklewish of ThunderClan.

Someone in a Frecklewish MAP commented that what if Ravenwing interpreted the sign of the reeds in the river wrong. The person said that, 'what if Starclan was warning him that the kits would drown as four cats went into the river but only 1 came out.' I find that theory very interesting
That sounds interesting but if they never got exiled, how would the warning work?
@@RileyHighBergi think the warning was telling raven not to exile them, so if they decided to let maple stay the warning wouldve worked the way it was supposed to. but raven misinterpreted it and thought it meant the kits are a danger and need to be gone.

Honestly is better then having to face the fact that the writing team put Frecklewish in the Dark forest
@@Mimikai4884 I headcannon that frecklewish was condemned to the place of no stars because of a corrupt cat or many corrupt cats in starclan knowing ashfur was allowed in there I'm 100# calling it that cats that either hate frecklewish or are apathetic to her suffering clearly flavoring mapleshades kits above frecklewish.

Frecklewish: *doesn't break the code 1. Because she didn't stay long enough to even see the kits fall in the river AND RUSSETFUR WATCHED BERRYKIT STRUGGLE IN THE FOX TRAP. 2. Couldn't rescue the kits because of the raging water, probably would've died also*
StarClan: that's illegal
Hold up so in the warrior code there's a code that if you ever see a kit of any clan in danger you must help them and frecklewish who didn't because she would likely end up drowning too because of the strong waves went to the Dark forest but applesusk who not only broke the warrior code by dating mapleshade but also having kits with her goes to starclan? That makes no sense to me.
Yeah, Starclan picks and choses who goes to hell.
Literally every cat who has broken the code should go to the df, but nooo starckan plays favorites. In fact Russetfur of Shadow clan watched berry kit struggle in a fox trap, and still got into starclan. What type of bull-

Yeah, it’s even worse when the actual website spreads misinformation about the topic. Idk if you’ve actually read Mapleshade’s vengeance, but if you haven’t here is why a lot of ppl are misinformed:
Mapleshade has a delusional view on about everything. She often shifts blame by making situations up or afding things that were never explicitly said. Example: when Nettlepaw told her Frecklewish had followed them and saw maple fall in the river, Maple asked how she could just stand there watching. Nettlepaw hadn’t told her Freckle stayed long, he also didn’t tell her she didn’t stay long, Maple made this up. Nettle even responds with “i don’t know”. After this, Maple takes it as a “fact” that Freckle had been watching the whole thing go down and didn’t want to do anything. She even convinced herself Freckle enjoyed watching her kits suffer, which at no point was implied to have happened by anyone besides Maple.
A lot of readers, especially younger readers, take Mapleshade’s twisted viewpoints as facts. Even if the other characters imply the opposite to have happened. This causes for misinformation spreading.

I love Maple and her story BECAUSE she's one helluva crazy cat.
Her descend into insanity throughout the book clearly shows that she can not have been thinking straight when blaming freckle and Raven (not Appledusk, he deserved to die.)
At about 3-4 points in the book she has a hallucination of her kids in in roaring waters, calling for help and unable to go to Starclan because she has to avenge them.
I feel like it is a very overlooked detail in the way Maple's mental health declines after her Kit's deaths.
@@crownedxaxolotl1102 ngl, Apple didn’t deserve death imo. Sure, cheating sucked. But besides that he did care a lot about both Maple and Reed (though he did started hating Maple after she got his kits killed). And he did obviously love his kits very much. To say he deserved death is kinda not the point imo.
@@flamestormthecat2833 It's not really just the cheating that really pissed me off with him, but also how he didn't stick up for Mapleshade when she faced Riverclan's leader because he knew it would be awkward having the person he once dated and the person he's cheating on her with in the same clan.
Also, Maple mentions that they didn't even give the kits a memorial, which if he did love them, wouldn't he atleast ask for a proper vigil..?
On top of that, he didn't even know the kits names, nor did he ask.
@@crownedxaxolotl1102 that doesn’t mean Appledusk didn’t love his kits lol, he might have asked to give them a more proper vigil after she left, Apple just wanted nothing to do with Mapleshade. Because she just killed their kits with absolute shere stupidity, selfishness and honesty by not caring enough for them. The way he reacted just proves that he loved them.
Sure, he may not have asked for their names, which i found weird too, but he could have alternate motives we don’t know about. The fact he immidiatly asked where his kit were after rescuing Maple, didn’t stop a second to not get them after she told them they were in the river, and was rightfully pissed and unloving towards the woman who get them killed are all responses that proves this cat loved his children.

Oakstar deserves the dark forest for KNOWING that it was flood season and banishing the kits Dispite knowing that they could only cross the river. I get why Darkstar doesn’t go to the dark forest because when appledusk said he no longer loved mapleshade he declared that he had no connection to Mapleshade.

Why did freckle wish let the kits die just because she had kits with her brother murderer she clearly broke up with him and she can’t control if she get pregnant or not so she gave birth to kits you can’t just leave her alone with kits to take care of alone and it’s not her fault because her mate killed your brother she didn’t do it so blame apple dusk not her it’s not her who killed your brother she deserves to be in the dark forest and how did she betrayed your brother name she never said it was birch face kits so she couldn’t betray her brother name if she never said that it was his kits she deserved to have a long painful death who’s else with me?
Uh, Frecklewish was a ThunderClan cat and literally couldn’t swim, we can see throughout the book that the ThunderClan cats couldn’t swim, Birchface drowns and Flowerpaw does too, Mapleshade can’t swim and nearly gets herself killed, she had to get saved by Appledusk, and Frecklewish didn’t even watch long enough to know the kits drowned, she thought they would be saved by the RiverClan cats. Frecklewish may have assumed that Birchface was the father but Mapleshade didn’t correct her, instead she used this as an advantage to stay in her manipulative relationship with Appledusk, and also her kits which she just used as another tool to stay with Appledusk.
I would say she got what she deserved. But then I’d be too harsh. That judgement reserved for ravenwing

Personally I think mapple’shade is not a villain,she only killed cats that she had a reason to,she doesn’t kill random cats.
Well i think freckle fish was very bad and she go to dark Forest becouse she don t help meaple shades kits she only look happy when they drowning warrior code say warriors must help kits just kit s aren t from hus clan
