- Sorry for the break, I've moved in the last few weeks! So I'm catching up with a #wcotw from a few weeks ago that has been requested by several of you: the mysterious loner Sol.
Contains spoilers for the following books:
- Manga: SkyClan and the Stranger
- Power of Three #4-6 (Eclipse, Long Shadows, Sunrise)
- Omen of the Stars #5: The Forgotten Warrior
- Field Guide: The Ultimate Guide
What explains Sol better, the books, a map called Everything Moves Sol Map, or this? I cannot decide

tbh his character is so unique, i love how he doesn’t have good strength to fight or hunt so he uses his mind instead he isnt just some brute of a villain like tigerstar or darktail
Sol is my favourite villain, in skyclan and the stranger he’s immature and just an overall punk and I like that kinda characterization in villains, plus I felt for his backstory lol

Personally, considering his manipulation, I think that his history is just a big, fat lie. He just brought it up as a sob story to make Leafstar feel bad for him.
I- uh- no, that isn’t true, because it happened before his ambitious mind took over, and I’m sure there are some articles about his life that will prove that is false. No offense or hate intended to you,

@@M00nB3e Alright, so 1), I subscribe to Death of the Author theory with Warriors, meaning that any material the Erins make outside of the actual text itself is just as true as a headcanon you or I make. They can say, "Yes, Whitestorm sired Brindleface's kittens," and I can say in response, "Bullcrap: nothing like that ever happened in the books themselves so it never happened."
2) Sol could absolutely have character flaws before his descent, like he could be (and demonstrates himself to be) a chronic liar.
@@vickiebraman5540 And 3), he was _talking._ In most visual forms of media like graphic novels, the artist may depict a character's backstory _as they're narrating it._ Sol was narrating his story as we saw it on-page so we wouldn't be seeing boring pictures of Leafstar and Sol for that entire conversation.
Would you use this same argument, "it's in the book so it can't be made up" to argue that a visual depiction of Tigerclaw's account of how Redtail died as the former is talking about it would mean that the events within the book are "not made up"?

You described this so well,I am trying to learn about soul more but that map, everything moves shows me nothing really because in the almost end he is like a kit or something!
Plus - The song "Everything Moves" is about a person getting completely drunk out of their mind
I remember when I first read when Sol appeared and how he was cats out repeatedly. As a kid, without the background from Skyclan (that I didn’t even really know existed pffft), I thought Sol could have been a denizen of the Dark Forest who was sent to cause some chaos and make the clans weaker before the eventual battle.
When I found out it was because he was spurned, I thought the extent he took his revenge was odd. I didn’t quite get character motivations back then. I also saw him as this quick, knowledgeable villain that had a ton of intelligence and calmness about him.
This is a great summary of his character! I now know that Sol’s entire arc basically amounts to a bitch fit because he was too entitled and the exact *opposite* of intelligent and calm. Guy really got sent out for *justified reasons* when he kept taking shortcuts that put himself and others in danger. Then blamed every clan ever when he hadn’t even met them. Can someone say bliiiiind persecution? He reminds me of people who are hostile towards anyone in a religion they don’t agree with…
AKA Sol just comes across as a bigot (even if I do think the clans are a cult-like system, but that’s religious groups for ya)

Sol is probably one of my fav villains, he is interesting and I wonder if he’ll ever come back in warrior cats?
AHH i love sol so much, hes my fav char ever! i REALLY hope he comes back at some point again, since he swore vengence. id sell one of my kidneys for his superedition or at least a novella lol. i once calculated hes been travelling for +\-4 years at the time of oots, so who know what else hes been doing then

Mayby SOL went to Bloodclan but wasn’t seen because there was to much going on and then left Bloodclan after scarg died and then joined a group of roughs and lived there since

I feel kinda bad for sol,he was only trying to achieve his kit goal. His mother abandoned him,his father left is mother,he was framed of murder,he was exiled from skyclan. His past sucks and it made him a bad cat :(

If this is from sky clan and the stranger btw, sol lied to leaf star abt his past, so it isn’t actually his pat but I love this vid!!!
That’s a theory that’s out there, but it hasn’t been confirmed that it’s fake. I’m inclined to believe that it actually is his past, because Sol echoes some of his mother’s behaviors (the phrase she previously said, his lack of patience with kits - it makes sense that he’d continue the cycle of the way he was treated). There also isn’t anything hinting at it being fake either in the graphic novel itself or in The Forgotten Warrior where he’s all bitter about not being allowed to join: it being his true backstory makes perfect sense narratively and in fact increases the pathos/drama, making his fall more tragic because it was something he genuinely dreamed of from kithood.
Sol is creepy.

I've read the book and still have it actually, he was not actually the best cat at all. I loved the book and might read it again later.

I lost my cat 2 days ago I thought she is at star clan now bc maybe a monster/car killed she but now I think she's at sky clan or a rogue like Sol/yep I really believe at star clan im not so young for called kid fantasy so it's just my opinion

Like seriously, how do you think he could get away with it or be a good warrior? The most important rule is to never harm a kit, no matter who they belong to.

Same here, but she's a female version of ghost from "antman and the wasp", but without the phasing powers. Remember this in marvel future fight: there's two versions of ghost: modern male (name unknown), and ava starr.

He’s next on the list! I’ve still gotta finish writing it yet, but I’m also doing some behind-the-scenes stuff before I make a full return to those, like building up a full image database on my own computer with characters, etc tagged rather than relying on finding them online all the time.

What comic book did you use?
If you mean the one for the first half or so of the video, that’s the SkyClan and the Stranger graphic novel. The illustrations in the rest of the video mostly come from foreign editions of the books, namely the Russian editions, and a couple from the Chinese versions.

Nope, quite a few MAPs don’t follow the books literally; some take an artistic interpretation of the character, or imagine an alternate universe/timeline.

Actually calicos are a type of tortoiseshells (which even in my language we don't have the word calico and I though all the cats that have two or three colours on their fur are tortoishells) and male cats are able to be tricoloured/tortoiseshells/calicos but it's very very rare and that's because of genetics
