By the looks of its definitely the spider that's brocken on but with quite alot of modern machines they have sealed tubs so you won't really by able to replace it
Exactly the same machine as ours and the same has just happened to ours. Hotpoint machines/Whirlpool are made in Turkey and I wouldn't be surprised if they get banged about a lot being exported and it cracks/weakens the spider assembly before you even buy it.
I heard 2 loud bang noises and then a burning smell and immediately the machine switched off and tripped the electrics in the kitchen. What could the issue be ? Its a Hotpoint washer dryer
At the front of the washing machine at the bottom there is a panel open that then there is a little lid unscrew that be careful as some water might gush out of there use towel or some rag. There might be some debris such as coin stuck in there. Remove this and hopefully the annoying noise should go away!

Not compleatly sure I cut my losses and brought a new one was told it was the spider bracket that holds drum

If the tube sealed bin it not worth repair

It’s literally 7/8 years old, WhAt Do YoU eXpEcT
I don’t comment like this anymore and my old Indesit was 3-5 years old and the bearings were broken
Hopefully my current Indesit will last longer
