My thought with the perks is that the 'weaken targets when they're above 120%' or whatever is really good for any character that isn't already killing before that % consistently. And the "apply weaken when you are above 100%" is really really good for characters who often live past those %s, especially if they also tend to get combo'd and bullied a lot like Jason and IG. Plus snowball effect is just good. Basically just a free 7% dmg boost.

@@frank8917nah my homie was a top 250 Tom and Jerry and he says he was definitely nerfed from before. I do agree he is a hard character to play but also I believe it’s more so certain perks that were in the game before that aren’t anymore and that’s why people feel certain characters feel nerfed

Unfortunately, WW no longer feels good to play. This ultra slow gameplay actually hurt her big time and many of her combos are no longer possible. Not to mention her whip is absolute poopy now. Sigh...guess I'll need to force myself to play meta characters. What a lame way to play

@@MG_Spy the game isn't 4 days old man, they had a whole beta. They already had something to change or build on but just made it slow and clunky instead. Can't tell me that a 30 frame buffer is a good thing man, it makes the characters feel rather unresponsive
@@ChrisLeffe except they didn't just update the beta, they rebuilt the game in UE5, they had things like models from the beta but they had to completely remake the code from scratch for the new engine. That's why there's missing features; it's not so much that things were taken out, more that they just haven't been put back in for UE5 yet. Future updates will address that as well as other issues that people are having, because that's how development works for a game like this.
@MG_Spy I know that and that does explain why some things are pretty bare bones. But changing the speed and more importantly the responsiveness were active choices that you can't chalk up to an engine switch. To me it seems like they not only overhauled the engine but also their idea about what the game should feel and play like. I have heard that they might be adressing some of these things tho and if they find a way to balance it then I would actually really respect them for it
@@ChrisLeffe imo they made the right call in slowing the game speed and reworking the dodge meter, and I can see why people believe they overcorrected in terms of the speed. But honestly back in the beta, matches basically just turned into dodge spam since people could just throw out any attack they wanted without caring if it hit since they could dodge out of it with no consequence. It became way too fast and inaccessible especially at high level play. The new system encourages people to think about how to approach and play with more strategy in mind without having dodge as a crutch to fall back on. People are still learning that new system and in my experience the matches get a lot faster when both parties know what they're doing and how to utilize the rework. It doesn't approach how ludicrously fast the beta was but its fun and readable. They definitely still have _room_ to make it faster without losing that gameplay but it can't be too drastic imo. The input buffer is still a big issue though, they need to fix that or add a setting for it.

It’s almost better because 3 dynamite does like 30 damage and can kill when at 100+ health. He just didn’t have it equipped
