  • This is a video of my trip to the Bonsai Museum at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden during the summer of 2017. They had on display many tropical species of trees! Here are the species found in this video:
    Ficus benjamina - Weeping Fig
    Syzygium australe - Australian Brush Cherry
    Cinnamomum camphora - Cmphor tree
    Psidium littorale var. longipes - Strawberry Guava
    Ficus - Ornamental Fig
    Ficus pumila - Creeping Fig
    Psidium cattleianum - Strawberry Guava
    Fortunella margarita - Nagami Kumquat
    Ficus barteri (looks like Ficus nerifolia/salicifolia - Willow Leaf ficus to me)
    Ficus Macrocarpa - Chinese Banyan
    Dimocarpus longan - Longan
    Ficus bartierri (looks like Ficus nerifolia/salicifolia - Willow Leaf ficus to me)

    I really enjoyed the tour of the tropical trees, it's really nice to see some grand old specimens!
