I really didn't think I was going to be able to create anything when I sat down to make this spread. For some reason it went alot smoother then most days.
When I begin an abstract journal page, this sometimes happens but we just need to push through. I love the texture! I also love the small brayer. Now I want to incorporate charcoal. Funny how we can forget about certain materials. Thanks for sharing!
@@CathyMevik The proces for me is always the most interesting and enjoyable part. Especially the parts you paint over many times. Its great to see "mistakes" coming something really beautiful.
Wow! I loved this. I could watch you do a new abstract everyday. When you pour another splotch of white over it, I'm like "Oh no! It was perfect!" But then you manage to make it better :) Great fun. Thank you.
Thank you for such a lovely comment Cat. So happy you enjoyed watching. I find that being brave is a big part of painting. ;) I guess I was really brave when I did this one.
You are wonderful! Thank you so much for loading such amazing videos! I tried one abstract using your techniques ! I would be very happy to share it with you. Could you please tell me how can I do that ?
Thank you. So glad you enjoy watching. I just started a fb group. You are welcome to share your art with me there. facebook.com/groups/fearlessabstracts/
I like your work and method of working very much. Quite beautiful! - If I might add, I try to keep this gentle; the music is very annoying to me. I emphasize “to me”, so I have to turn the sound off. But then I miss whatever you might be saying and might miss important thought you have to share. So maybe you can think about that. - Thank you so much for sharing your videos and keep on painting! 😸🌸
Thank you so much for your feedback. Glad you enjoy my work. Most of my videos have no commenting or text only, so if you watch videos from the start of my channel until mid 2020, you can turn the sound off without missing anything. The videos I do talk in, I talk so much that there is hardly/if any music. Hope this helps. 💜
It it a sponge type roller? If so, how do you keep the paint from hardening and choking it up? The one I have is used with oil, so there’s more time to wipe it off, I think it’s made for inking block printing
Great~ It is really happy to watch your works😍😍😍 I love your videos all. Thanks for sharing. I wonder how can your papers not to be crumpled by gesso and acrylic paint. Could you let me know that brand?
I used amberdam acrylics in yellow gold, and burnt umber. I also used paynes grey from Winsor and newton. Other then that I use charcoal. A brayer and regular synthetic paintbrushes. ;) Hope this helps

Thank you! 💙
I LOVE your work! I trust the bottle of white stuff you pour onto the painting is gesso? Thanks.
Thank you so much Sue. The white stuff is definitly gesso.
Wonderful landscape.... thx for sharing 🔵⚪🟤🟠🔸️🔷️🔶️💖
Glad you enjoyed it 💜
I love these abstract landscape paintings Can it be done on canvas? And is that gesso you’re using so often? Thanks!
Thanks Connie. You can paint on any surface you like. And yes that is gesso I am using. ;)

No, this is a brayer used for printing as well. I don't worry about the dry paint on it. It creates texture. :)

Thanks so much 😊 My paper does wrinkle a bit, but straightens itself out after a while. I use liquatex gesso and Royal Talens Amsterdam series paint.
I love it
Thank you so much Stacy!
I love this! May I ask what your black marker is?
Thanks Pamela. I used charcoal in this one. 😊
What are the colours.....sublime....
So glad you like the colors
I love that but I don't know why there are clouds on the sand. But it's great.
Thank you. 🥰 Who said that is a cloud though? Thats abstract expression for you! 💜
@@CathyMevik Good point well made!
What kind of roller are you using?
It's a brayer. I use the Abig brayers. 👍
Any chance you’d share a supply list? Thanks again😉

Why do you use gesso instead of white paint?
Because I like the texture and the liquatex gesso is transparent and I guess I like that too. ❤️
@@CathyMevik Interesting. Thank you.
