  • Four University of Pennsylvania seniors have built an exoskeleton they call the "Titan Arm," a futuristic-looking strength enhancer. They pump some iron with us in the Post fitness center.

I have an idea of sensors that sense the motion and start to move . Your arm will be the activator for the servos

you can't do it like that you need a emg sensor implant or electrodes attached on or in your arm or you could use a brain wave sensor that works kind of like a emg sensor only with electrodes against your head sending information to the micro controller/processor he is using a regular controller to control it if you ask me its pretty but its a bad design he should have used hydraulics actuators instead of electric pullys to drive it and offset the actuators for more vertical strength i could build a better one in literally a hour in real life he built it more for show and tell but that is just my opinion.

Yeah sure you could build a better one in an hour.

he built it for a impression not for serious functionality trust me i do mechanical engineering and electronics for a living watch hacksmith he builds alot stronger exos with just pneumatic actuators this thing looks amazing but its not that impressive to engineers if i had all the materials i could build that thing a bit better in 10 minutes i could build a much better one in only a hour learning how to do it if you never went to study exos on the other hand would take you years to learn how to do ive already been through years of study so this is not complicated for me i understand your speculation and that is a good trait to have you know not believing everything you see on the internet but trust me im not lying i study this stuff every day for years and mechanical engineering is my job

I apologise, I was only skeptical because you get a lot of 12 year olds on the internet that think they're going to be tony stark.

yeah np man i know what you mean with all these 12 year olds thinking they know nuclear chemistry and they can't even answer simple questions lol
