- Vermintide story dialogue & voice lines compilation focusing on the battle wizard Sienna Fuegonasus.
Having been implicated in the death of an Empire official, Sienna was being escorted by Saltzpyre to stand trial in front of the magistrate -- before suddenly ending up stuck in Ubersreik due to a skaven invasion.
Sienna's trial now postponed, it is then that only the heated altercation between her and Saltzpyre remains.
Salty and Sienna in the first game: One poorly aimed fireball from killing each other
Salty and Sienna in the second game: One stray word from kissing each other.
Nah I think even in this game they are a few seconds from kissing each other. Saltzpyre has a rep to keep though, and I think it's his way of "getting her to see the light"
Well The Inquisition guy is jealous because he'd absolutely LOVE IT if he could BURN the heretics himself.
@@Zefar77 OH BLESSED SHO.. ERR I MEAN FIREBALL!!!
Feel like when it comes down to it they agree on most things. The issue is that the one big thing they don't agree on is duty. Saltzpyre is relentlessly committed to the Empire, and to Sigmar, because he believes that serving those things (or what he thinks those things stand for, at least) will do the most good. Sienna seems much more committed to her own principles, which are mostly independent of nationality and creed. Ultimately (Saltzpyre much more so in the second game than in the first, and Sienna much more so in the first than in the second), they're both terrified that the source of their power will betray and destroy them.
@@Oops-All-Ghosts I was playing the other day and heard a conversation between the two of them at the Keep. Basically, Sienna asked why Saltzpyre didn't trust her after fighting so much alongside him, to which he responds:
"I fear that you are a slave to the flames, rather than the reverse. You, I trust. But only a simpleton would trust a raging fire."
He has gained respect for Sienna, but he still belives that she's toying with powers she shouldn't have and that could kill them all if she's not careful with them.
“If you die, who will hate me?”
I see he has his priorities in order lmao
I forgot how much saltz hated her in the first game because I’ve been playing vermintide 2 for so long. That’s impressive character development. I expect they’d be married by vermintide 3.
At this rate they'll be having little bright hunters in no time. Well if she can still be light up that is.
God I hope so
@@rivansan i dunno she and saltz are both pretty old to be doing that.
Not old enough to be doing steps 1-3 mind, but still
@@jonathanredacted3245 If they old enough to be killing millions of rats... they can do anything haha.
@@jonathanredacted3245 I can't think of a pair that would more likely hatefuck in all of warhammer.
Save Obviously, for anything associated with slannesh.
"I find fire to be excellent equilizer"
"for once you have a point"
I find it funny that saltz is thinking about burning heretics in this context
It was to the "ashes seldom quibble" part, but the point stands. A burnt witch can't claim she isn't.
You missed one interesting one with Kerillian; where she wonders why Sienna didn't just melt her shackles with fire magic, because she knows that she could. Sienna answers something in the style of that she chose not too, because that would only implicate her further.
That's in here!
0:32
And doesn't help her sister Sofia is a necromancer
Love how Saltzpyre eventually _warms up_ to the idea of having Sienna around
You didn't just- 😂😂
Bloody... *laughs*
He realized that she really *lights up* his life
WARMING UP!?!?
5:06 "Do not fear the ratmen. Fear me instead." Damn, y'know Commissars are the *other* Warhammer, right?
Fear me, but follow!
@@AreGeeBee FORWARD YOU DOGS, TO VICTORY!
Yes.
Saltz is a 40k comissar accidentally reborn into this universe.
Still scratching my head how a single man in a big hat is somehow supposed to be scarier than a charging horde of bugs, or any other horror from the void or beyond.
6:40
Saltzpyre and Sienna: Squabbling and insulting each other
Kruber: Trying to stop the argument and keep focus
Bardin: Cheerily talking to himself about a healing draught
“I understand your all a wee bit grumpy, but I’d just like to say one thing, this is some good Mountain Dew”
“These stairs go up!”
@@Wreck_RS Bardin: "These stairs go-"
Markus: "Down? No, up?"
Bardin: "Arrgh! You spoil it!"
"If you die...then who will hate me!?" lol
That is positively romantic.
Feels like a classic marriage
Kerillian: "OH! MEMEMEME!!!"
Kruber: "Oi, then who's gonna hate me!?"
Half the time it's like an old married couple going at it.
"Such needless suspicion. No wonder your Empire falls into decay"
You do realize that he has the one he has the one job in which "needless" suspicion can be the difference between surviving and saving the day, and dying a horrendous death, letting who knows what evil wonder unchecked for who knows how long?
It's ironic coming from Kerillian considering that the wood elves are one of the most suspicious and xenophobic races in Warhammer.
And she is also responsible for everything that’s happening in Vermintide too.
As always, Kerrilian talks way too much smack for a hypocrite
And now she's a Necromancer. Fun as hell, it's just a shame all that work getting on Saltzpyre's good side has gone out the window.
She's still alive because she got on his good side.
He immediately tried to kill her the moment she was found (while knocking out Kerillian and Bardin...), yes.
But after getting knocked out by Cruber, he didn't try to kill her AGAIN. Which is a sighn of trust by his standards.
14:54
Sienna: I'm gonna die soon
Saltz: Then... who will hate me ;_;
Sienna: Are you ok Saltz?
Before the end times: Purge the heresy.
After surviving two combat tours with Sienna: Some heresy is ok.
There's a rare and very eerie voice line I've only ever heard once in thousands of hours. if you kill a rat ogre with a ranged attack as Sienna, she says something like "Roar all you like, monster. The fire claims you now". For me it triggered once with the guaranteed ogre in the dungeons of Drachenfels. Grim business indeed.
7:27
"If you die, then who will hate me?!" Lmao never change saltz
You just gotta admire Salts' voice actor, in both VT games. Especially here when talking with Sienna. He says something in relatively calm voice, and then just spouts 'witch' in the most resentful and hatefull voice.
Constantly roasting eachother.What a banter
hah
roast
2:25 lmao that was so badass and hilarious XD
Only saltzpyre would run a charging rat ogre through with a rapier tbf
''at last it falls''
''it was well done''
fucking hell that's really fucking clever for an wutelgi
v1: loads of interesting dialogues v2: DARLINGS DARLINGS MY DARLINGS
V2: YOUR CRIME IS YOUR FOUL FOLLOW THE FLAMES GRIMNIIIIR FIGHT LIKE ITS PAYDAY WIZARD WHY I AM ON FIRE AN OLD RANGER TRICK BULL OF OSTLAND UNGOR ARCHERS
Seriously, there's some good dialogue in v2 too, but the ult lines are always cuting them off constantly. The drunk event really shows some awesome writing, but they really need to turn down the ults and the enemy callouts that are not specials
@@Diego000793 true. I watched a compilation of lines from V2 and I was amazed how many there are which I never heard. I think turning down the enemy callouts its the better choice since most of them can be heard a mile away (maybe keep the one for Plague Monks and chaos warrior)
Yeah I almost never hear interesting dialogue from v2
Problem the repetative fight diologue takes priority over the interesting stuff.
@@Diego000793 how do you actually access that mission? Was it just temporary?
Saltzpyre is a hardcore tsundere
I feel bad for Sienna, she seems so nice and wants company but everyone is afraid of her.
Sienna is also a psychopath with lacking control over herself. Saltzpyre hired Kruber to arrest Sienna for her violent crimes.
Kerillian seems pretty unafraid and even supporting
@@magnuskramer2 because kerillian is a bigger psychopath than her lol
@@Salatalik44 Elf!
Less a psychopath, more a pyromaniac. She's fully aware of it, though, and she struggles against her love of fire.
The development of respect is interesting
"Why does One-Eye hate you so?"
"He's just uncomfortable around women"
Considering what we learned about Saltz at Castle Drachenfels, Sienna might've hit the nail on the head
Give me some context, my good man
@@caspramio Castle Drachenfels reveals one of Saltzpyre's biggest insecurities/secrets is his failure to save a burgermeister's daughter who had become a Vampire's thrall , he drove a stake into her heart despite the fact she could have been saved, the Skaven were also involved and the whole town where this took place was destroyed as they played Victor like a fiddle.
Saltzpyre's murmurings to himself in response to the nameless taunting him with this reveals just how badly that experience fucked him up, it's likely he suffers some form of trauma over killing the girl, along with failing to save the town in turn.
sienna is like that aunt that acts all serious but is really polite (espesially when she loses herself for a sec), but when you do something stupid she gets really pissed.
My god all the characters had so much more charisma in this game
4:56
Look see man things
*gets blown away*
oddly humorous that.
I think Saltzpyre does like her and that's why he took her case. OMG, I just realized he's a tsundere. Forgive me.
Witch hunter maby but zealot i dont think so
"it's not like I wanna hear your heresies uwu"
9:57 the next few scenes are just heart warming
This honestly pulls at my heart a little with Siennas final career in V2. All her character, wit, struggling with her addiction to fire, proving her trustworthiness to Saltzpyre, it was all for nothing as she's fallen to her sisters influence and become a Necromancer.
So much nostalgia. And crazy how the characters actually grew old together
I like how she still uses a flint to light a grenade
It's sad I liked the dialogue from this game quite a lot more than vermintide 2
Although you could put that down to the fact they know each other better, although since drachenfells there's actually a lot more conversation between the 5 of them.
Actually, if you look into it a bit more, the dialogue is still as rich as ever. The problem is, it gets cut off by the calls of Specials, and Ults.
So much back and forth dialogue, where's all this in Vermintide 2?
honestly i miss my sienna from vermintide 1. She is only loosing herself in V2 and not the cool tough lady she was in vermin 1
What a couple of loving birds.
Only with this video do I realize that the characters trashtalk if one miss a grenade throw.
It just hit me why Kerillian calls them all mayflies. Mayflies live an extremely short time when fully grown. So do humans. Compared to elves.
but a fully grown human(age 25?) can live 3-5x longer than that amount(75-125 years). How long do Mayflies live after reaching maturity?
24 hours
"Well fought, Saltzpyre"
"I pretended the beast was you, witch"
That made me laugh
And then the world blows up and everyone dies: THE END
It's an interesting experience, playing through an adventure that you know to be futile.
@@monoperative Germanic mythology in a nutshell.
Maybe sigmar saves them...maybe?
Coming back after Necromancer's announcement... it seems like Sienna has always been sensitive to Aqshy and Shyish.
"Aqshy flutters like a windblown candle, but Shyish gusts strong." - Sienna, Vermintide 1. Shown at the beginning of the video.
"You've always had a foot in two different worlds, Sienna. One day you will have to choose between them." - Be'lakor, Vermintide 2. You can find this voiceline in the Pilgrimage Chamber, or you could head to Janfon's video on the voicelines between Sienna and Be'lakor.
sorta but incorrect
sienna gets necromancer powers because of different reasons (nagash and the whole sylvania shyish bullshit, look it up)
also necromancy is not exactly shyish, but dhar
and all wizards have witchsight so they see all the winds regardless of which they use or the one they have the most affinity to
Ill always come back for these dialoges!
I thought Matthias in Dark Omen was bad... And then Saltzpyre came along. I'm assuming that you can't become a Witch Hunter unless you're an insufferably arrogant and self-aggrandizing fanatic. And yet... I love that zealout dearly. The voice actor did a fantastic job.
16:05 Saltzpyre shot down Sienna so he could smack her arse.
this might have something to do with the new class she will get at some point considering the new classes is more or less the continueation of their story
“You think he cares about innocence”
“No but I do”
Holy crap a fantasy Socrates. “I’m no criminal however escaping my lawful punishment would make me one”
"Grrrrr"
*Visible Hrnng twitch*

Forgot about shit like this because I never play Vermintide 1 anymore but the banter isn't lost on loving their harder banter in the second game.
Saltz gonna waltz his way into some ankles
11:21
Jeez, Sienna. Thats kinda kinky.
Thank you, wizard
Is my favorite so far
This game: Do you not trust me yet Saltzpyre? - Never will!
Sequel: Haven't I earned your trust? - You I trust, but only a fool trusts a raging fire.
"I've never been as far as Estalia, pyromancer.. what's it like?"
"Have you ever met our Grand patriarch?"
"I believe I havent."
"Well unless you'd like your nasal cavities and eyeballs caked in gunpowder while your body slowly turns to solid gold, I suggest you don't go to Estalia."
OH JUST KISS ALREADY.
“You’re a tough old bird~”
Poor Saltzpyre, if weren't by tragedy, he'd be a train operator and not live a life of fear and prejudice.
5:14 Interesting juxtaposition to Saltzpyre's disposition in 2 of Sienna. In 2, him and Sienna have a conversation in the Keep about how he actually trusts Sienna but worries about jer being consumed by fire. He even says, "I trust you. I don't trust a raging fire. Care to know what controls which."
It's genuinely cool to see this swapped. I doubt it was intentional, but cool nonetheless to see.
This game is beautiful
They do speak some decent logic sometimes.
Though other times it’s just heavily butting heads.
This is gold, thank you soooo much!!!
I love how it's basically progression of love story between Salty and Sienna
4:14 ker being decent 🙀😁 need more lines like this
Glad to see they've made up during the transition to Vermintide II
"I can hear every word, you do realise that"

Saltzpyre's so calm in the first game. In 2, he's screaming his head off all the time.
daaamn that hud is gorgeous
Sienna x Victor?
Thats something
is it me or is Vermin1 a lot less... spastic?
vt2 has a lot of voice lines interrupting dialouge discussions. Ultimates, enemy callouts or using items all illicit a voice line from the character and usually disrupt talk from the characters.
I ship it, I really do
Saltzpyre is a Tsundere.
I swear the original vermintide has a much stronger left 4 dead or call of duty zombies origins feeling to it then the second game
why the hell does this look way more atmospheric than V2? They're both pretty games.
*takemyhandandsaynomoreaboutit*
Ahh, back before the witch said darlings every second word and the elf dident say scunners like it means something
I ship it
Never played the original Vermintide. The Fireball staff and Sienna's explosion on death have much funner physics than Vermintide 2 imo!!
Look see man things *BANG*
I find that Vermintide 1 looks a lot better visually than Vermintide 2, idk why
Its too bright in v2
The soundtracks are better as well
How did you change the bot order?
There are Mods for that, maybe now its a ingame feature. Havent play the first part for a while.
What does it mean "burden of proof"?
Burden of proof is the legal responsibility to prove a claim or accusation. It is the duty of the prosecution to prove guilt, not the defendant to prove their innocence. Basically, whoever is making a claim against someone, it's your job to provide evidence that it's valid.
